I'm still saying the Ruijerd trip will be covered in a separate story just like the Eris the Goblin Slayer Story. Mushoku Tensei tries to avoid looking at stories away from Rudeous's perspective unless it directly involves him in the moment
I'm not too certain. Eris the Goblin Slayer was probably important to bring up Cliff as a character, someone important to Rudy in the next season, and explain why he was so cold to Rudy when they first met, where as all the characters in this story were already introduced. Besides, we also got the Fitz episode as a bonus this season.
I just thought about it but its entirely possible they could do a special detailing the journey with norn aisha and ruijerd. Similar to the special with eris and the goblins that was skipped during the main serious off screen but was presented later. Its not guaranteed but i think there is a chance it could happen
I hope Andrew continues into Redundancy for Mushoku Monday. It was such a great read. Can't wait to pick up the first English translated volume in November to add to the collection.

Poor Norn, sibling rivalry, stern Grandma, missing Mother, obsessed Father. She needs the ultimate supporting character, Ruijerd! In the future I hope she finds a husband as good as Ruijerd!

@tontj to a degree, she is acting like a spoiled brat. Listen to her inner monolog. She said her brother and her father moved on, but she refused to let let go. She admitted that it was her not brother that was keeping the distance. To be fair, she's young and had reasons. But she realized it was on her to let go of the past, like Father and brother had. Maybe calling her a spoiled brat was too far, but she was being a brat and being selfish. That's probably why she never told Rudy why she had been so upset. She figured out the problem and the solution, talking about wouldn't change anything. You are right to an extent, but she admitted to herself that she's been blaming Tudy and Aisha and everything but herself. She finally figured out nothing will change from playing victim. She can't villify her brother if she's the only one that sees him as a villain. She finally decided to take responsibility for herself. She has to put in the work and effort, and then things will change. Our dear sweet Norn matured 3 sizes that day. When she let go her hatred of her brother, it was all at once. There wasn't this a little at a time getting to know each other all over, she opened herself up to him all at once, at this time, he's her best friend. I'll bet that her relationship with Aisha improved ten fold that day as well.
Yea I don’t understand why they skip content in a popular anime, usually they’re putting in filler trying to drag out episodes. But we have some anime skipping content. It’s why I much prefer reading manga than watching anime, because I get the full story.
its not just skipping some unnecessary parts... they are skipping some pretty fcking important parts that define some characterization and story building... things will happen in the future and anime onlys will not have the info on how some things came to be and will be like "what the actual fck just happened... why? how?"
And this why I don't complain about Filler (anime only content to fill a broadcast slot) and Padding (anime only content to fill out an episode) A story has to be very lucky to be breakable into 12 to 13 episode chunk which ever is available and not have cuts or Padding/Filler. Side stories also tend to be attacked by vocal number of fans.
Seven Seas should have hired you for doing the audiobooks haha. I actually don’t really like the voice of the guy who does them. It’s not terrible, but it’s a boring voice.

It will be really great if we get to see this arc in a OVA form like "Eris The Goblin Slayer". Ruijurd is such a gentleman and a really good person.
Man, Mushoku Tensei just proves it's in it's own masterclass of natural feeling storytelling. No interaction between people feels forced.
