Before Converting to Islam.

So you have been studying Islam, and you are convinced it is the true religion for you. I agree and wish you all the best. Still, this video is not made to stop you from doing just that but to alert you that Islam is a great religion. Still, Muslims are like any other people who have tremendously influenced the faith through their cultural practices, 14th centuries of explanations, made-up opinions by fallible men, and misinterpretations of the Quran. Things you need to know, like Hadith, Fiqh, Sunnah, and Sira, will be overwhelming and confusing. Many things you will be told will likely be interpretations and not precisely what Allah wants from us. Therefore all I am saying here is to slow down and be careful how you learn and approach all the essential tenant of Islam; in the beginning, I will only focus on the Quran for at least a few years and stay away from all the books of hadith and focus on the Quran only. Remember that the most crucial step you should take is not to trust many foreign Imams. Foreign Imams tend to be part of Islamic groups (Jamma), which could be Salafi, Sufi, Wahabi, Muslim Brotherhood, Jammat Tabliq, or many others that have their loyalty to their Imam or group interpretations of Islam. I encourage you to become Muslim and embrace the beautiful faith we are blessed with from Allah but be aware of all the regurgitated theology presented as Islam when it is nothing more than MALE opinions and cultural practices. Excellent! Quran dispels all of these false traditions.
But, Islam is not a religion. Religion is made by man, with man’s devised laws. Rather, Islam is Deen, a socio-economic system based on Quranic laws only. Allah has chosen this system or Deen for mankind for optimal governance.
Second, there is no conversion process in Islam. One accepts it by reading the Quran and adopting this new set of values and governance. He/She chooses to submit willingly to Islam
