Idk how SotE is that much different from FF7 Rebirth. You kinda have to have played part 1 to get what’s going on in Pt 2. Normal DLCs are usually 5-10 hours and add an extra level or game mode. SotE is 25-50 hours and functions as a standalone story. It’s basically a sequel, just your stats don’t reset to zero. I don’t like nominating DLCs either but it was one of the best gaming experiences of the year.
@@alexyoung5836 this new Elden Ring thing is a standalone game So that should be allowed for the game awards SOTET is a dlc that you need to play the base game to get to it It’s a add on

Found this show very entertaining. I think I want more categories though. Like where’s Best Unnecessary Switch Port, Best forced woke Romance Scene, Best Gacha Waifu, Best Cozy Survival Sim to not play? Like get with the times Geoff
Of course he thinks The 2 holy shit moments were something he wasn’t interested in lol I’m surprised he didn’t comment on Metaphor winning best art direction Or Astrobot not winning best audio design Or a game that won best community support last year won it again Or how Metaphor lost best music ( thankfully Rebirth did) Or how people think Sony bought out the game awards to have Astrobot win goty Or how the old muppets were roasting Geoff I’m glad we live the good ending we’re no dlc won anything Also if Nightreign was nominated in the next game awards, I would allow it because it’s a standalone game
Baldur's Gate III deserved to win Best Community Support two years in a row, imo. The game has only grown in quality thanks to Larian's continued additions and fixes (without nickel and diming their fanbase, no less.)
@@sailormoon262 let me be clear I understand why it deserved but it should have only won that one time last year and give something else the award this year

Onimusha was an insane reveal. Being a fan, I never thought the IP would be touched again. If you're a fighting game fan VF coming back is massive.
Lost my mind when Onimusha got announced. Original, 3, and Dawn of Dreams are still bangers so many years later.
Honestly, I'm just glad to get a new Ninja Gaiden, 2D or otherwise.
Thank you for mentioning Okami Sequel, I probably wouldn't have heard about it for a while if for not this! You may not be hyped for it but I sure am
A fucking okami sequel? They didn't have to bring back my childhood I swear to God if they ruin it

Silent hill 2 winning 0 was a crime :(
DLC winning anything would have been a bigger crime
A shame tho
Yes. It should have won best narrative, actor and sound design.
@@nugsboodlepoo narrative: maybe
Actor: maybe but probably
Sound Design: that definitely should have went Astrobot
2025’s game awards is definitely going to be tough and good
Unless Mid Theft Auto 6 comes out and steals everything lol
The Elden Ring game is not directed by Miyazaki, and to be brutally honest, it just feels like a bad fanfiction/mod.
Elden Ring DLC is twice as long as Astro Bot

My score is 0/10 not enough Ella Purnell on screen.
Fr though, the Okami 2 reveal and Clive Rosfield making it to Tekken 8 is pretty dope.
Can't believe I'm saying this, but I may pass on the Elden Ring game. I do not play multi-player games.
It's apparently also built for singleplayer.

Fr though the multiplayer Elden Ring spinoff thing looks good and Okami 2 is gonna be dope.
