Skyblock is a new official 1.4.5 secret seed which is very barebones and difficult. Some calling it slimeblock, progressing is very difficult beyond killing slimes. So I decided why not make it harder on myself, like usual, and play on For The Worthy combined with the Skyblock seed, removing the shimmer island, the solidifer, and putting us on Legendary difficulty. Can we beat this absurd challenge?

Fun fact: it's impossible to softlock your progression on skyblock. Bosses drop their progression drops multiple times if they haven't been placed and aren't in your inventory.
So it's possible to farm evil altars, hellforges, dungeon blocks/walls, etc. if you don't place them in the world and instead store them in a chest before fighting the boss again.

I just don't like how there is a slime for almost everything. Sorbet cafe explained the issue very well. I think there should be toggle to disable the slimes that give certain items/materials that is otherwise obtainable through other methods.

Fun fact! I tested it, and the eye will always drop an altar if there are none placed in your world, whether skyblock or not! And after you destroy the last one, he will spawn naturally that night, regardless of what stage you are in the game.

Thought i would clarify the thing with the crimson alter as i just finished a journey mode all item research play through but basically the functional crimson alter can be obtained in any world as the eye of cuthulu will drop it as long as there are no other alters in the world

@XdivoryDw man I’m doing a run of it rn. I’m sitting at around 500 deaths post plantera. For mechdusa fully focus on a melee tank build. If you can try to get lucky and find a chlorophyte extracinator and shimmer it for a pick

10:30 another way to get gems is to farm slush slimes in the underground ice as they have a chance to spawn, then extractinate that slush to get gems (this is really slow and not worth it, just another way)

What i did was make village underground, and then drink a battle potion for gemcritters. Would recommended, only took 15-20 minutes.

12:35 Another way to get sand without shimmer is by shell piles and this one is entirely passive (you can log off), but you have to have some sand beforehand
Just place some sand at the ocean and wait for coral, starfish and shell to spawn and collect it, make it to shell piles using the heavy assembler and take it to the extractinator

You can get chlorophyte by just making a big chunk of mud and jungle grass around it, it spawns by itself whenever in hardmode.

Currently doing these combined seeds on ranger class only. In a large world which I'm used to create💀 The most fun for me is that I can easily make mob farms and fishing spots in this seed. The hardest was not having any weapon and I had to let demolitionist kill some slime so I can buy nades. Not having solidifier and shimmer is kinda hard in early game as well.

You can theoretically get a placeable altar in a normal world, they just only drop if there are no altars in the world.

It is actually possible to get chlorophyte, mud near jungle grass block may convert to chlorophyte ore. You simply didn't have any mud blocks in your jungle (only jungle grass blocks as far as I could see).

now dirt can turn into mud near chlorophyte ore.
1:23 slimes can drop bombs, dirt bombs can give more dirt than was used to make them (and you have the demolitionist)
I think the item magnet (yellow magnet from obsidian crates) will help u get the pillars loots...

One thing id like to see more with for the worthy brain is people using blocks, if you build a big enough chunk of blocks above where he had placed the dirt the brain cant spawn inside. Therefore narrowing it down to 2/4 possible locations

A much better way to get hive block is to drop bee hives into water!
When i was doing a master mode playthrough of Skyblock i went afk for almost 8 irl hours straight just for a single eye spawn. And got 4 blood moons and 2 slime rains during that. And i don’t understand why the eye has a rarer natural spawn in Skyblock compared to vanilla.
I mean you can just enclose your artificial jungle and add a back wall to prevent hostile mobs from spawning. Unless they changed it in 1.4.5, life fruits and plantera bulbs will still spawn inside.

Challenge idea: you have to use whatever weapon you find or that drops. Like, if you open a chest and there’s a wand of sparking, you have to use that until you find another weapon. Then if a hoplite drops spears, you can only use those spears until the next weapon, etc. God forbid you kill a zombie in hard mode and you have to fight using a zombie arm. It also makes opening chests more risky/strategic

geode is not only way to get gems. buy ice bomb at night. and make snow biome in cave. kill slush slime and extract it.
