To clarify, Bathilda wasn’t a horcrux. Nagini (Voldemort’s snake) is his horcrux. But Voldemort had Nagini kill Bathilda and use her skin as a suit

In the actual book, every kid under-age was sent back through the passage into Hogsmead. (Young Colin Creevy doubled-back and was also killed in the battle). For those of 17 years and older, it was voluntary whether they stayed to fight or go, no matter which House they belonged to.

    Snape didn't even fight back.
when I first watched it I didn't notice that either , as well as the fact that Snape got rid of the Death Eaters - standing behind him.

@@violentlycreamy In the film, though the flippyflopping initially LOOKS like Snape is scooping up the wands, you can clearly see a wand in the hand of in at least the Carrow on the left.
Yes, Snape does not fight back, only block and redirect McGonagall's attacks.
But he doesn't disarm both Carrows on the way out.

Warwick Davis is the actor who is playing Griphook in this film (he also plays Professor Flitwick and he played the previous bank teller in the first film to whom Hagrid presents himself and Harry). The Griphook in the first film, who shows Harry and Hagrid to their respective vaults, was played by Verne Troyer (who was Mini-Me in the Austin Powers franchise) but voiced by Warwick Davis. RIP Verne.
    _________________________________________________________________________________
Harry has Griphook on his back and the Cloak thrown over them; you can just barely see Harry's feet as they approach the bank teller. Harry is using the Imperius Curse (one of the three Unforgiveable Curses) on the bank president to get his compliance.
    _________________________________________________________________________________
Dragons are legendary treasure horde guardians; it's in their nature.
The goblins who run Gringotts treat this poor dragon (who was likely brought here as an egg or a new hatchling) like it's an expendable junkyard dog; they have starved it and kept it chained up and abused.
    _________________________________________________________________________________
Don't worry about the Sword; it has a mind of its own. It will present itself when it is needed, and right now there are more important issues to attend to, like ESCAPING.
Griphook thinks he can 'own' the Sword, but no one 'owns' it. It follows a loyalty to the members of the House of Gryffindor.
    _________________________________________________________________________________
The Trio is found by Aberforth Dumbledore in Hogsmeade.
Think back to when Harry and Hermione were recruiting for 'Dumbledore's Army'.
Do you recall the kilted man in the pub, flanked by a goat?
That was Albus Dumbledore's brother, Aberforth.
It was Aberforth watching them through that mirror shard Harry was carrying (Harry did say it looked live Professor Dumbledore).
It was Aberforth who sent Dobby to rescue them from Malfoy Manor in the last film.
It's been Aberforth feeding the students hiding in the Room of Requirement in Hogwarts.
    _________________________________________________________________________________
As someone else has commented, Slytherin House set up their Common Room and Dorm in the dungeons, so Filch is just escorting them to their Dorm.
Consider: most of Voldemort's supporters are Slytherins and House placement tends to run along hereditary lines; better that Slytherin children are not faced with battle against their families, watching their parents and relatives injured or killed, or facing influence to join Voldemort's followers in battle. It's a kindness to send Slytherin students to their Dorm.
Now you begin to see why the staircases randomly move; hard for invaders to do battle when the staircases break access to opponents.
It was originally set up as a defense against muggle attack, but it'll work against Voldemort.
    _________________________________________________________________________________
Did you catch Professor Slughorn coming out on the steps of Hogwarts and throwing back a vial of Liquid Luck before joining the fray?
    _________________________________________________________________________________
Bathilda's dead; she died back before Christmas, in Godric's Hollow.
Voldemort left his snake Nagini behind, 'dressed' in Bathilda's skin, to kill Harry.
    _________________________________________________________________________________
Harry recognizes the Boathouse, down by the Lake, where the First Years sail up to their first glimpse of Hogwarts.
    _________________________________________________________________________________
Griphook said Snape was the one who put the fake Sword in Bellatrix's vault.
Snape was kept apprised of where the Trio were hiding by Aberforth's use of the mirror shard Harry was carrying.
Snape brought the Sword to the pond, the used his doe Patronus to lead Harry to it.
When Snape said he had completely fooled one of the greatest wizards of all time, he wasn't talking about Dumbledore, he meant Voldemort.
    _________________________________________________________________________________
No; the 'Resurrection' Stone does not revive anyone. Never did.
The Stone is in the Golden Snitch because Dumbledore put it in there.
So, think about it; if the Stone could resurrect anyone, don't you think Dumbledore would have brought back Sirius? Cedric? Mad-Eye Moody? Lily and James? His beloved sister Ariana? His muggle mother?
One of the earliest things Dumbledore told Harry was that no magic can ever awaken the dead.
The people Harry summoned to him with the Stone are NOT revived; he can just see and interact with them for a brief moment.
They are noncorporeal, ghosts, spirits. They are dead and remain dead.
And Harry likely expects Voldemort to dispatch him with the same spell that killed Sirius, so he asks Sirius if it hurt.
The dead being with us is not a Wizarding World thing, it's a 'that's how it is' thing. It's that way for muggles and even for some pets.
    That emotional connection transcends death.
It doesn't mean they can affect the world of the living physically.
This is not a magical discussion, it's a spiritual discussion, one that is just ass pertinent and meaningful to muggles, to us real life humans. Don't get them mixed up.
    _________________________________________________________________________________
Draco refused his father's entreaties to join him.
    Draco is DONE with Lucius.
But Draco cannot refuse his mother.
Lucius begged Draco, but Narcissa softly says, "Come". And Draco has to respond.
Keep in mind that Draco didn't out Harry back at Malfoy Manor, when Lucius and Bellatrix pressed him to verify Harry's identity.
And Draco didn't attack Harry in the Room of Requirement when Harry was looking for the Diadem, even though his 'friends' pressed him to; Draco just wanted his wand back.
If Draco had not been called by his mother, he would have stayed put with the rest of Hogwarts.
So, in a deleted scene, Harry rolls out of Hagrid's arms and Draco runs across the courtyard to toss Harry a wand.
Harry went to his execution unarmed; he had no wand until Draco threw him one, and Harry immediately began the attack on Voldemort.
I think Draco has completed his redemption arc and is firmly against Voldemort.
    _________________________________________________________________________________
Harry no longer has a connection with Voldemort.
Telling Harry to "use that connection" is pointless anymore, once that piece of Voldemort inside him was destroyed. By Voldemort himself.
Harry is no longer drawing on anything from Voldemort; it's all Harry now.
Harry can't even speak Parseltongue anymore.
    _________________________________________________________________________________
    You misunderstand the Prophesy.
"one will die at the hands of the other, for neither shall live while the other survives”
ONE of them must die, because both cannot live.
    _________________________________________________________________________________
Notice that once the last horcrux is destroyed, when Voldemort loses his last protection, the Elder Wand reaches back and starts rotting Voldemort's hand and arm. It turns black and Harry can disarm him.
But the thing is, Voldemort's duel against Harry was doomed by virtue of Voldemort trying to harm Harry with Harry's own Elder Wand (see next comment).
    _________________________________________________________________________________
No-no-no! In the Wizarding World, Dead means you're DEAD,, just like everywhere else.
Alive, we are part physical and part spiritual, whether we have magic power or not.
And dead we are just spiritual beings, while our bodies break down.
The so-called 'Resurrection' Stone can just as well summon muggle ghosts; no difference. And Lily's muggleborn.
The connection between the dead and the living is and emotional one, a spiritual one.
    Wizards and witches DIE.
    _________________________________________________________________________________

It's in the Deathly Hallows book one finally starts to realize the reasons why certain things were happening in the earlier books.
Ron and Neville had a terrible time doing magic when they were first starting Hogwarts because neither one of them got a wand that chose them. Ron had a hand-me-down wand from his older brother because his parents couldn't afford a new one from Olivander. But when Ron broke his wand in Chamber of Secrets his parents had no choice but to get him a new one. Ron's magic improved after that. Neville was given his father's wand for sentimental reason and never got a new one. That is why his magic didn't improve until he became part of Dumbledore's Army and Harry helped him learn. His grandmother shortly after bought him a new wand of his own.
One of the things never mentioned in any of the movies is that during Half Blood Prince, through Dumbledore's memories sessions Harry found out that Tom Riddle applied for the Defense Against the Dark Arts teaching position. But Dumbledore denied Riddle the job. As a result, it was Voldemort that cursed the Defense Against the Dark Arts job. After the Battle of Hogwarts almost every single person who taught Defense Against the Dark Arts died at one point. Only Lockhart and Umbridge lived but they were cursed in other ways. Lockhart permanently lost his memory and lives at Saint Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Umbridge was finally arrested and placed in Azkaban. The funny thing is that even though the real Mad Eye Moody didn't get to teach the class he was appointed the job and as a result he died during Deathly Hallows. But it was only recently that it dawned on me that Harry can be included in that group. Even though Harry was never hired to be an official Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, he did secretly teach it nevertheless during Order of the Phoenix. So again, thats another good reason why Voldemort failed and Harry was able to beat him. Voldemort unwittingly cursed Harry yet again and therefore cursed his horcrux inside of Harry.
I could be very wrong but I believe it wasn't until Half Blood Prince that it is finally fully revealed as to why Harry always had to go back to the Dursleys for the summer for a few days at the very least. Dumbledore finally visits Harry and the Dursleys in person at Privit Drive and confronts Petunia and Vernon for not only Harry's mistreatment but for the way they raised Dudly. He considered it abusive to raise a child in such a manner. I believe it was then that Dumbledore reminded Petunia about the protection spell on Harry and by taking Harry into her home she sealed the protective spell. Lily sacrificing her life for Harry put an ancient magical protection on her beloved son. There are some certain types of ancient magic studied at the Department of Mysteries. One of those types of magic that is studied that they never showed in the movie version of Order of the Phoenix is love. Just like time, prophecy, thought and death to name a few, love is a powerful form of ancient magic. That is why Voldemort couldn't kill baby Harry. As long as Harry lives with someone with his mother's blood he could not be found by Voldemort. But that magic at the Dursleys expired when Harry became of wizarding age at 17. 🪄

      @chris...9497 Месяц назад

@@grahamgresty8383 I believe there is a synergy between a wand and its true master.
Wands represent the fire, the vital living force, in things; it expresses itself in drama and courage, and boldness and pride.
The wand chooses the wizard, but the way you lose the loyalty of your wand is by demonstrating that you're a loser. You demonstrate it by not being able to 'hod ground', by being unable to resist being disarmed. For the wand, it's like being faithless, and it brings shame. A wand wants nothing of that; it's an afront to its pride. That's why it will change allegiance to the one who disarmed you.
For Neville and Ron, using a wand that did not choose them likely imparts a subconscious lack of confidence. You can definitely see that lack of confidence in Neville, who is unable to even keep a hold of his want at times; if the wand is channeling strong magic, it's like it's too much for Neville to control.
Getting wands that choose THEM (instead of handling wands forced to 'settle' for the masters provided) boosts confidence on a subconscious level. It's synergistic. And confidence is part of the 'juice' that makes wands work.
Harry was a great teacher. Instinctively, he knew mastery of magic requires a foundation of confidence, and he encouraged confidence in those he taught. It moved Cho to be able to stun, Neville to disarm, and Ron to begin to believe in himself. Power grows from confidence.

You make great points, Laurin, and I thank you for the insight.
A little advice, so others in the future get the most of what you have to offer:
      Break up your text.
This was a big block of grey lettering that was hard to read.
If you break it up, your meaning shines through.
Not a criticism, but a bit of advice. You have a lot to offer.
Now, I'm one to talk; more important than breaking up the text is being succinct, and I'm unfortunately not that (try ass I might, it's not in my nature, so I lose readers because my comments run too long). But at least those willing to read can do so with less effort. And I think you have more to say than I do.

According to JK Rowling the author of Harry Potter, Harry and Ron decided to not finish school and instead became Aurors (dark wizard catchers like Mad Eye Moody) at the Ministry of Magic. After several years Ron retires from his job at the Ministry and went to work with George Weasley at the joke shop to help him out. Harry eventually became Head of Auror Office and Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.
Hermione did go back to Hogwarts after the Battle to finish school and graduated. At one point she went to look for her parents and returned their memories. Later after she graduated she started working at the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures and the Department of Magical Law Enforcement at the Ministry of Magic and helped to create laws to protect and improve the lives of sentient magical creatures like house elves, goblins and centaurs to name a few. Much later Hermione eventually became Minister of Magic.
Neville Longbottom became the new Herbology professor at Hogwarts and marries the Hufflepuff student Hannah Abbott who is the grandchild of the owner of The Leaky Cauldron.
Luna became a Magizoologist and married Newt Scamander's (the fictional author of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find) grandson, Rolf Scamander. Together they travel the world looking for rare magical beasts.
Professor McGonagall became the new Hogwarts headmistress.
Before Ginny married Harry she became a professional Quidditch player. After she retired she started writing sports articles for the Daily Prophet wizarding newspaper.
Harry and Ginny had three kids together. If I recall the names right, the eldest son was named James Sirius. The second born is Albus Severus. And the youngest child is Lily Luna. Harry is the godfather to Remus and Tonks' son, Teddy Lupin and made sure he was well provided for.
Ron and Hermione's children is Rose and Hugo.
Draco's child is Scorpius Malfoy. Lucius Malfoy again got away scot free with his crimes as a Deatheater like he did after the first war when Harry was a baby where he convinced the Ministry that he was forced to do what he did. Draco got a job at the Ministry and remained on respectful terms with Harry after the Battle of Hogwarts.
Umbridge was sent to Azkaban for her crimes.
Hagrid remained a professor at Hogwarts but never married.
George Weasley married Angelina Johnson who had been Fred Weasley's date for the Yule Ball in Goblet of Fire.
Harry and Dudly remained on friendly terms and stayed in touch with each other to the point that they even would send each other Christmas cards every year.
Harry, Ron and Hermione in time were each later featured on Chocolate Frog Cards.
There are more stories like that that can be read in the Wizarding World website and also found in documentaries with JK Rowling where she goes into family tree details after the Battle of Hogwarts.

Fun fact there is a theory that I love you know we didn't find out when the movies were set until you saw Harry's parents Graves seeing the year they died and knowing that they were 21 and Harry was orphaned on Halloween of the year he was one so he was 15 months old exactly you can just do the math and find out that the series ended in the late nineties when I was in high school and since the books started coming out right after it would have been set there's a theory that the books were written as history for The wizarding world maybe it was by that Rita Skeeter and basically you know she wasn't exactly someone who did things the way they're supposed to do them in the books they said how she got some of her inside information was because she was a animagus who was unregistered and she could turn into a ladybug at the end of the fourth book Hermione had her captured in a jar but the theory was she wrote the books for a muggle audience as fantasy and the only thing she really had to add was the epiloguewhich in that theory would be fiction because if the books came out when they did if it was based on history then by the time all the books were out that time 19 years later wouldn't have happened yet so that would have been just her pulling a story out of her ass can you be allowed to sell it as fiction

Something they didn't mention in the movie, but in the book it says that not only would the items in Bellatrix's vault would multiply if touched, they also would burn you.
It was in Hogsmeade that they went to after breaking into Gringott's as it is the closest thing to Hogwarts they could apparate to as no one but the headmaster can apparate in or out of Hogwarts. The alarm you heard was a Catterwauling charm and Hogsmeade had a curfew so after the curfew anyone was out would set off the alarm.
The shield around Hogwarts and the Trio's campsite isn't a 'Hex', it's protective enchantments. A 'Hex' is stronger than a Jinx, and will send negative energy towards your target, but it's not as dark as curses. For instance the Bat-Bogey Hex, turns bogeys (aka boogers) into large black bats that attack the target, or Densaugeo, which causes grotesquely elongated teeth.
It cut off what you were going to say when Neville brought the Trio in through the new secret passageway but I think you were about to say 'it looks like the Room of Requirement' and if so, you would be correct. In the books, all of the students who were on Harry's side took refuge in the Room of Requirement and it kept them safe from the death eater teachers, and yes, that is the same room that was in Half-Blood Prince - the room where everything is hidden. The fire in that room that Goyle is using was Fiend Fyre and as you can see, it is hard to control lol
and you were right about there being a catch to Harry's being alive after getting hit with Avada Kedavra but it wasn't the resurrection stone. The stone doesn't bring the dead back to life fully - it just brings back an echo of them, they have no physical form as said in the story 'soon she grew cold for she did not belong in the mortal realm and the second brother killed himself so as to join her.' In the Goblet of Fire, Tom used Harry's blood to bring himself back to a body, thus taking some of Lilly's protective enchantments himself - Also the fact that the elder wand became Harry's, the wand wouldn't kill its owner and so instead of killing harry, it killed the horcrux spirit inside of him.

The goblins at the bank had already been notified that Bellatrix's wand was stolen.
In the book escaping on the dragon was Harry's idea not Hermione's.
Harry can still see into Voldemort's mind sometimes but Voldemort hasn't been able or dared to look into Harry's mind since Harry threw him out of his head at the Ministry. It causes Voldemort too much pain so he won't even try connecting with Harry and no longer realizes when Harry is seeing into his.
The wand is NOT breaking! The director made that stupid choice to show that the Elder Wand isn't working right for Voldemort.
You can't bring back the dead even with the Resurrection Stone. Harry only called those particular people back to give him the courage to sacrifice himself.
Harry didn't die because Voldemort made a huge mistake abd tied Harry to life as long as Voldemort himself is alive. When he used Harry's blood to create a new body for himself Voldemort also took in Lily's protection for Harry. Once Voldemort was killed Harry became just as mortal as everyone else.
The movies are all set in the 90's not the year they came out. Remember the books came first. J.K. Rowling had Harry being born in 1980.
I *highly* recommend reading or listening to the books for the story the way it was actually written.

Oh, man.... seeing Fred lying on the floor in the Great Hall dead is heartbreaking, especially seeing Ron break down in tears. (Hearing that Harry had to sacrifice himself to give them a chance of defeating Voldemort and the Death Eaters didn't help that grief.)
6 points I've made in the past regarding Harry Potter:
    1. The prophecy Professor Dumbledore mentioned in Professor Snape's memory that mentioned a baby born at the end of July was partially true. There were actually two: Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom. They were born in the same month and year, but Neville is only 1 day older than Harry. (Neville: 30 July 1980, Harry: 31 July 1980.) Voldemort had chosen to target a then 15-month-old Harry, thus marking him as his equal. Neville lived a life free of that fear with his grandmother, despite the constant painful reminder of his parents being permanently admitted to St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries after being tortured into insanity by Bellatrix Lestrange.
    2. Voldemort's death after his battle with Harry wasn't supposed to look like he got snapped out by Thanos, and it wasn't just them isolated in the courtyard.
In the book, Harry and Voldemort battle for the last time in front of everyone else, resulting in Voldemort dying as a mortal man once Neville sliced off Nagini's head, effectively saving Ron & Hermione in the process.
    3. Harry didn't snap the Elder Wand in the book version. He mends his original wand (the one he got in Philosopher's Stone from Ollivander's) with it, then returns it to Professor Dumbledore's grave.
    4. I give HUGE props to Narcissa for straight-up lying to Voldemort after Harry confirmed that Draco was alive. It shows that neither she nor her son wanted the Death Eater life.
    5. That one goblin who stared in shock as the Ukrainian Ironbelly busted through the floor of Gringotts seriously looked a bit like Donald Trump. 😆🤣
    6. Following the events of the 2nd Wizarding War, Hermione is the only one out of the Golden Trio to return to Hogwarts to finish off her wizard studies. Both Ron and Harry go on to become Aurors, but Ron eventually decides to help George with the shop Weasley's Wizard Wheezes (say that 5 times fast). Ginny becomes a pro-Quidditch player for the Holyhead Harpies before she retired and worked as a Quidditch correspondent for the Daily Prophet. Harry is also named as Remus & Tonks' son Teddy's godfather.

    • @chris...9497

You should expand those props for Narcissa Black Malfoy.
I haven't read the books, so I'm pulling this opinion from film canon.
Narcissa is a true Slytherin for her ability to hold a poker face and recede to background invisibility in the face of Voldemort taking over Malfoy Manor as his base of operations. She could have taken off and abandoned Lucius, but could not abandon her son. She stayed on the hopes of extricating him from that mess brought on them by her husband and his arrogance.
Narcisa barely breathing and nearly invisible to The Dark Lord allowed her to slink through the situation to save her son. Additional props you should give Narcissa include her meeting with Snape at Borgin & Burkes to get Snape to protect Draco. She admits Voldemort wants no interference in the mission Voldy set for Draco (and Snape stops her short to warn her she should not interfere), but she persists and exacts (with her sister Bellatrix's help) Snape's vow to help Draco. That's both bold and very dangerous; that's definitely due some acknowledgement of 'lady-balls'.
Later, checking on Harry's post-blasted body for signs of life, her turning to Voldemort and bald-faced lying to him. Well. Damn, girl! That said, if Harry had reported Draco dead (and likely if, per the book, Harry said Draco was not in Hogwarts), I don't for a moment doubt Narcissa would have told Voldemort the truth, that Harry had not died, and Narcissa would have escaped the throng in the ensuing chaos. Narcissa just needed to know if there was a point to follow the throng to Hogwarts and collect her son.
I say Narcissa is a true Slytherin because she is strategic. She gambles carefully and she succeeds.

Gossip: on that last scene the book inform us Remus' and Tonks' son Teddy* were snogging Bill's and Fleur's Victoire, according to an outraged James Potter. (Harry's and Ginny's eldest)
Teddy grew up with his granny Andromeda Tonks. He had sunday dinners at the Potter's, he was Harry's godson.

It's a summoning and capture device, not a revivification device.
      It's badly named.
But how fascinating that it's passed down in a direct line from Cadmus Peverell, eventually to Salazar Slytherin, later to Tom Riddle Jr, and finally to Harry Potter.
The 'Salazar to Tom Riddle Jr connection puts truth to the claim of half-blood Tom Riddle Jr being the heir to Slytherin.
You have to wonder how Salazar would feel about his Chamber of Secrets and basilisk being controlled by a half-blood descendant.

I feel like the moment when McGonagall sends all of Slytherin to the dungeon is not explained properly. Firstly, their dorm is in the dungeon and secondly, most of Slytherin house have parents who are death eaters and she doesn't want them faced with the choice of fighting their own parents in the final battle so it's for their protection. Not because she thinks they are all bad.

Hogwarts is a big castle complex, in use for over a thousand years as a school of magic.
The various Houses set up in different places; it makes sense that Slytherin set their Common Room and Dorms in the basement dungeons. More privacy and secrecy.
Also, a school hasn't much use for dungeons and confinement cells. Consider, Sirius recaptured in the third film was held in a high tower. Can't have an Azkaban prisoner recently escaped kept next to children.

There are may theories held by Potterheads as to how Harry survives Voldemort 'executing' him.
Deathly Hallows, Lily's love, Harry's blood in Voldemort's new body, Harry's selfless sacrifice, etc.
    Here's mine:
Think back to (or replay) the scene in the Astronomy Tower when Draco comes for Dumbledore.
After some banter, Dumbledore realizes THIS is the moment; Draco is the foreshadowing of Dumbledore's last minutes of life.
Dumbledore strategically takes out his wand, the Elder Wand that Dumbledore KNOWS Voldemort will be coming for.
If Voldemort gets it, he will kill Harry with it and the world will be lost to an immortal Dark Wizard.
Dumbledore takes out his Wand, knowing Draco is all worked up and panicky; he knows Draco will reflexively disarm Dumbledore.
Dumbledore draws attention to his drawing his Wand, saying "I'll make this easy for you...", and Draco disarms him.
It's. now up to fate; at least for a while Voldemort is stopped from gaining the Elder Wand's loyalty.
There are only three witnesses to Dumbledore being disarmed, Dumbledore himself and two scared kids.
Only Dumbledore knows the wandlore on wand transfer: all wands realign to whoever disarms its former master.
And that goes for every wand the wizard/witch disarmed had been master of.
Draco now was the true master of his original wand AND the Elder Wand, even though he didn't know it. The wands knew it.
Those showing up afterwards didn't see a wand. Those 'cleaning up' after Dumbledore died just assumed he dropped his wand.
But the reality was the true master of the Elder Wand was now Draco and only disarming Draco would acquire its loyalty.
Until the rescue by Dobby from Malfoy Manor.
In the commotion just before Dobby disapparated them away, quick-thinking Harry rushes Draco and wrestles two wands from him, Bellatrix's and Draco's own original wand.
By disarming Draco of his own wand, Harry not only gained the allegiance of Draco's wand (verified by Ollivander at the Shell Cottage), but also the Elder Wand placed in Dumbledore's grave and ingloriously retrieved by Voldemort.
Voldemort is not well-versed in wandlore; that was why he had Ollivander (world's authority) kidnapped and tortured by Cruciatus to learn what he could about getting a wand that would kill Harry.
When Voldemort felt that resistance and kickback when he used the Elder Wand to destroy the Hogwarts protective barrier, he assumed Snape was still the true master because he killed Dumbledore.
Voldemort misread the Tale of the Three Brothers, assuming the death of Antioch Peverell was what caused the transfer of loyalty.
So, he killed Snape, then in the mistaken assurance that he was now the Elder Wand's true master he issued to Harry the directive to meet him in the Foret for execution or everyone dies.
When Harry then presents himself, the Elder Wand refuses Voldemort's attempt to kill him with the Avada Kedavra.
Harry was carrying that piece of Voldemort's soul; the Elder Wand wouldn't touch Harry, but did annihilate the last bit of Voldemort Harry had in him. Between the Elder Wand resisting killing Harry and Voldemort feeling a piece of his soul dying, Voldemort was knocked to the ground. But Harry was now free of Voldemort's influence and no longer an unintended horcrux.
My point is that the whole rigmarole over Draco disarming Dumbledore in the Astronomy Tower, especially in the suss way it was done, had to have a strategic purpose. Dumbledore knew his time was nearly up, so there was intention in this action. As Hermione has said, "This means something."

What gets lost in the sauce is the power of love wielded by a pure soul like Lily's.
In Victorian Flower Language (look it up), 'lily' represents 'purity/love/goodness' ('petunia' represents 'anger/resentment', so there's Harry's aunt).
Because of Lily's love, she influenced Snape for life, she transformed James Potter, and she not only saved Harry but made him a charm to save the world from Voldemort.
With Lily's purity shining through Harry's eyes, one has to wonder if Harry was Lily's horcrux as well.

In Harry Potter, Severus Snape is the best character and my favorite.
Ps Vision was talking about a boy, but one day Harry and Nevil were born
    The match is somehow Chosen.
Because if Harry didn't have friends, he wouldn't do anything like Luke Skywalker.
    ruclips.net/video/Z4Y43JwsKjI/видео.html
Just like in Star Wars, Anakin/Vader is the best character, he is the one who was a slave all his life, who got hit by slave, Jedi, love, dark side and forced himself.
He should become the next Force Being Balance as the father of The Ones.
Ah There Clone Wars Show is the best.

Just a small correction, JK Rowling didn't actually write the play, it was based on a short story by her but written by 2 other men, so she had a small role to play in it. I watched the show in New York and only liked the music, acting and production.
