It’s interesting because I watch a nail youtuber who is a nail tech and really pushes “healthy nails”. Her advice is always to wear no polish, be gentle on pushing cuticles back, and just let them grow. I think maybe that’s what happened with J’s nails. No acetone or polish on them for months made them grow well!
@@restoredbypolish4591I CANNOT believe that would work with my nails! If I leave off polish for two days they start snagging, breaking, etc etc!!!! Besides, what fun are long nails without polishing them, LOL?🤩
I get OPI at TJ/TKMaxx a lot, and I even find some of their gel polish line too. But I don't use gel due to the high potential for developing gel allergies, so whenever I find a gel I just give it to my nail tech friend. They're cheap enough to where I can typically buy multiple at a time, around $2-3.
@@amelienoelle6969 It’s very hit or miss here with thrift store polish finds. I’d say more miss than hit though. I think people end up throwing out polish. They don’t think to donate it! Maybe I need to do some public education on this! 😂🤔
The thrift stores where I am mostly have glassware and random craft stuff like bags of embroidery thread and ribbons. I've never once seen cosmetic items, presumably the staff throws it all away...or pockets it.
I don’t own any Essie, but the OPI’s caught my attention!
No Essie at all? Wow! OPI has made some great polishes. I find I love them more and more as time goes on. Like new appreciation! 😊
What a haul! When do you get time to wear all these, LOL! It's fun to see, though! 😻
@@BrittMFH My husband asks the same question! I think I like just knowing I have options. 😂.
😳I can not believe how long Jacqueline's nails are! 😳

I am drooling over that orange! The old Essies are hard to use after the new ones being so good lol
@@loopyfrog Right? We get spoiled! 😂

Wow…$2-$3? OPIs in TJ Maxx here are $4.99. You’re good to your nail tech friend! 😊
You are lucky! The thrift store in my town rarely has nail polish. I think maybe I saw a couple bottles a few years ago.

I think that bottle of Lapiz has changed colour. Pretty sure it was blue.
I had the same feeling, so I googled it. Originally, it was blue.
That’s probably exactly what happened! I still like the color it is now though! 😊
@@restoredbypolish4591 it's actually faded to a pretty nice shade!
@@loopyfrog I like this shade too! 😊
Known issue with Lapiz of Luxury for some reason; seems like every 2/3 bottles discolor! I'm not sure why, probably an issue with the pigment.
Yea Essie a few years ago was mostly bad thin formulas that can't compete with their current formula
So true! It’s still fun to find those oldies, though!! 😊
