It always surprises me when you say someone will correct your English in caps lock in the comments. You speak English extremely well and even better than a lot of people whose first language is English.
Agree! I speak a bit of her mother language, but I still didn't know at first she was not American 😂 I get to know just when she mentioned it in some video.
Preference is really important. Never ignore your own preferences when buying the “next thing”.
This is such a good demonstration of why people should watch more than one creator! Most products are not inherently "good" or inherently "bad" -- we all have different wants and needs, and all the reasons one person hates something is all the reasons someone else might love it! I've really enjoyed seeing creators circulating products they didn't like to other creators until they find a home where they're loved 😂 I've happened upon some killer products that way! This whole video is why I don’t watch creators that just say they like or dislike something without telling us why. Like cool beans they like it but that doesn’t mean anything to us. Unless we are friends, I need more than “because it’s good"👍
I agree, I am 31 with bone dry skin that needs a million layers of hydrating skincare to just feel normal, and I live in UK where it is very cold and dry. I noticed that when to Japan in summer where it was hot and humid, the products I normally use in UK were too heavy. I do like the ND concealer, although I don’t have any fine lines so creasing isn’t really an issue for me in general
When I was in Guilin, China, my skin all over my body was GLOWING. My legs usually perpetually look so scaly and horrid but they were smooth and shiny 😅 I miss that so much back here in the winter now. Back to being permanently shriveled
What I like about this video is the discussion of what it's like to wear things in certain climates or how one's skin is and what to expect from it.
I am more interested in this than ranking videos, because they are really more personal preference, which I get. Plus since buying stuff online is de rigueur these days, this kind of thing helps.
It might not bring in the views of ranking or purge videos, but it really is helpful!
This is one of the reasons I watch you. You provide the other side of the coin. I don’t like boring makeup and yours is never. I’m 43. I’ve got oily skin and I live in FL. I’m a more matte girl because if I wear glowy things I look like an oil slick.
OMG, I looove Yucca, It's my favourite palette eveeeer.
I really like those kind of shades but I have rosacea and they bring up all the redness in my face. Not not mention that they look like faded bruises on me and they emphasize my dark cicles. So I have to prep a lot and colour correct my face as if there wasn't a tomorow in order to make them look good on me. It's a lot of work. And I'm not willing to pay ND prices for something I'm only going to use sporadically for that reason. But the palette on itself is beautiful. Just not for me.

I don’t like the products with the puffy thing on the top. They get so messy if you don’t lock them. So I ripped all mine off and just put whatever product on the back of my hand. I love the Bare Minerals blush/highlighter toppers especially in peach glow! It’s so pretty!
I agree the Makeup by Mario Moisture Glow plumping lip color is a terrible product. It’s so so slimy/watery and it gets everywhere!
Over the years you have made me fall in love with orange toned blushes and lip gloss’s!

I like how you explain the why behind your opinions on products instead of a blanket statement of you like it or don't. I also appreciate when you say who things may be more suited for. I am a little surprised about the Makeup by Mario lippie. I actually liked those, I had bought 4 of the colors in the mini size (the 2 lightest sets). Maybe it does come down to expectation. I didn't really have any, and got mini size because it takes me forever to finish any lippie. Wear time was okay. I still had to do 2 or 3 touch-ups; that's how most brands are for me for any lip products, including Sigma lip oils. I only got rid of 1 Makeup by Mario (rose glow) because it was too dark for me.

I thought for sure the Glamlite Garfield blush palette would have made the list. When ever single influencer that I watch tried it, they all went in too heavy and ended up with a super bright cheek. This is what convinced me to buy it. I love it. And it is one of my favorites. On my skin tone, orange can be diffeicult to get to show up. And the Garfield palette looks like a natural color on me. The highlighter in that palette was too sparkly to wear on the cheek, so I use it as eyeshadow. But, I can see how this might not work out for someone who has a different skin tone.
I’m also living my best glowy pore life!

I actually adore the blur drops from glow recipe but have normal to dry skin and it's my favorite matte primer. Makeup lasts all day and I love it. I know a lot of people who didn't love it have sensitive skin as well so maybe that's why my skin agreed with it more. It's so interesting to see all my favorite RUclipsrs and how opinions on product differ. Just like you said it just goes to show just because a product doesn't work for some doesn't mean it doesn't work for all and vise versa. Love these types of videos from you. Xoxo ❤

I’ve finally gotten to the point where I don’t just buy what is popular anymore because it doesn’t all work for me! And some things that are super underrated are my favs! Urban Decay Naked Concealer (no one talks about this), MAC mineral blushes, Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation, Lunar Beauty loose powder, Bobbi Brown or LYS powder bronzer, Dominque Cosmetics eyeshadows!
I'm so happy that you highlighted how the environment that we live in, combined with skin type age/etc, all influence our opinion on a product. I live in very cold, humid climate and most of the RUclips influencers/ product reviewers live in sunny California, so I find that oftentimes, my experience with foundations, cream products, and skincare products especially is very different from theirs.
I have dry skin and picked up the r.e.m. foundation and have been loving it! The look today is fire as always - I'm also loving the earring/top combo, it's adorable!
I often find myself disliking a lot of the "viral" products lately from elf and I always feel like there is something wrong with me 🤣 It's so crazy how makeup works different for everyone. I do like a lot of the products you mentioned in this video though! Except that Huda pressed powder.. yikes! Hated it 😆
I have skin like yours plus 19 years. I’m in San Antonio so similar climate. Thick concealers are not my friend. Neither is powder under the eyes. I just recently purchased the Yucca palette and am excited to try it out. I appreciate seeing differing opinions and love your content. ❤

Have you tried the winky lux peeper perfect concealer? It is very interesting because it is creamier and feels kind of like an eye cream which usually would crease horribly on my under eyes. Somehow it doesn't crease and has a really beautiful finish because a tiny bit goes a long way. The only issue is there aren't a ton of shades.
I am always so surprised when you mention people getting on you about your pronunciation or word use because you are such a great communicator in English. It's one of the reasons I like your videos so much, you're very clear and descriptive and you have a fun and inviting way of speaking. Learning a language is hard on its own but getting to that level of fluency is huge!
Love your English accent. I am nearly 50 and learning Swedish because it’s my dream to live in Sweden. Love learning a new language, learned English at my 30’s. And its a fun journey.

I love Natasha Denona Yucca. I wasn’t surprised because ND Gold is one of my other favorite palettes. I have an olive skin tone and these tones definitely compliment me.

I love how you explain each product and if it will work on dry vs oily skin. I have dry skin and my holy grail is ND concealer but if I had oily or combination skin maybe another concealer would be my holy grail. I also love the ND Yucca palette. I’m so excited to pull it back out for spring and summer. Makeup and skincare are so wonderful. Something for everyone. ❤❤

I have hormonally oily skin so most products don’t work for me unless they’re formulated to mattify and dry down. That’s why I try so many of the products you recommend. Had heard about the Glow Recipe primer put was using the One Size primer last year but that one is so good that I’m almost done with it. Definitely trying out the Glow Recipe one next. It’s amazing how so many products work for one person but not others 🤔
I love Yucca too. It was actually the palette that got me to try ND. And now I’m hooked.

The Glow Recipe Primer did not work for me, and I am combo/oily.
Different chemistry skin wise and that’s why I think it works for some people and not for others.

I know!! So many influencers declutterred their Yucca palettes, and I was like WHYYYYY?? It’s so good. It’s magical. One of my all time favorites. It’s like a greenish neutral palette I can use every day or make very bright and dramatic. I bought it recently because of you, and I love greenish bronze colors on the eyes.
