In fact, a software update with AI features was released for the Chinese models. That same update will be available for the global variance in the near future. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 generation 3 SOC is a fully capable AI platform. Logically, AI features via system updates was inevitable. Personally, I love curved glass. Save yourself 500 big ones. I have the s24+ (which is good) but this is truly the year of OnePlus the way they brought everything together in one device. Alert slider with IR blaster not to mention top of the line common smart phone features (display, haptics, animations, SD 8 gen 3, battery life, charging, camera, etc.). The overall experience is well beyond my s24+ and P8P. Yes, I purchase flagships then sell them in a year or two to family/friends.
maybe try and get one of those dbrand skins for the camera glass that blocks the light from hitting the full glass cover and has cutouts for each individual camera. seems like it might be worth a shot to reduce that lens flare
If one plus wanted to deliver a finishing blow to samsung, they should release a pro version of the 12. if I was them, i would wait until the next gen snapdragon comes out, then release the Oneplus12 pro. raise the price to 1100 so that it is still $200 cheaper than samsung. then upgrade to snapdragon 9 upgrade to 24gb of memory (vs 12gb on the s24U) 1 tb of memory only (to diferentiate it from the regular 12, plus i doubt phones are gonna start rolling out 1.5tb or 2tb options anytime soon, its just not worth it to release those options so soon) upgrade to Titanium frame upgrade to flat screen ( YES, UPGRADE! curved displays were a fun experiment that was too impractical in real life. ) 6.9 inch display , vs 6.8 on the samsung ( i would say & inch but i noticed that no real mainstream phone has crossed the 7inch line in a long time even though most have a 6.8 inch screen, im guessing its bc they dont want to cannibalize on foldable sales.) round up the battery size from 5400 to 5500 ADD AI FEATURES add anti-glare to their screen if oneplus managed to do all those things, there would be no reason to buy a s24u in mid 2024. they would steal a ton of sales from samsung, bring a ton of media attention to themselves and that would put them back on the race to be one of the most popular cell phone brands.
Nobody needs 24GB of RAM on a phone lol, that is major overkill. 16GB is more than enough. I'm still using a phone that only has 8GB, and I don't have any problems, nobody needs 24
Black or green? Which one would be better option? In the store Green looks stunning but in pictures it looks like a tile.... Black was looking too sparkling but dunno how it looks outside of the store. I feel like black one with that pattern would have looked good because green colour easily clashes with other colours. And it doesn't look good on my hand
The image quality of the Oneplus 12 in comparison to the other flagship devices is very minimal! as an avid photographer I prefer my night shots to look like night shots. The flagship phone's night shots tends to be overprocessed and artificial vs the Oneplus 12 more natural and true to life night images. The Oneplus 12 also has a faster and more powerful processor without getting hot! and their 5400 mah battery can't be beat. All for a unbeatable price!! I am still holding on to my very reliable Oneplus 7 pro; as it is still going strong! unfortunately its battery is slowing down.
