Wahknight 2003 this is probably why they used him for Spyro the Cortex Conspiracy
He definitely has the most personality but he's the least competent at being a bad guy, all he does is act rude and try claim soms buildings as his own.
I love Ripto, Gnasty and the Sorceress, I really hope we get a brand new villain in Spyro 4 though, I've played the original Spyro trilogy sooooooo many times, I just want some new characters.
@@cookiesontoast9981 Hmm... I don't think that a new villain is really necessary. Ripto and Gnasty Gnorc were supposed to team up in Spyro 4 Enter the Dragonfly. But since the game was rushed we never got to see Gnasty Gnorc. So they could use that idea in the next Spyro game.
@@Kingumaru They could... But as I stated, I've been seeing Ripto and Gnasty Gnorc for 22 years.. (my entire life) I would love to finally see someone new. Or at the very least some new henchmen, characters like Gulp and Crush but new ones.
I don't think main villains have to always be main stays in series.. It works for Crash with Cortex, he is Crash's creator afterall, he's rooted in Crash's lore. but for Spyro.. Idk, would prefer if we weren't stuck with the same badguy characters forever.
As side characters, side villains? Sure, but as main villains every time? Ugh.. Please, no.

That be cool and I'm like that with The Sonic Series I know Eggman is the main villain but I want a new Sonic Villain who isn't Eggman I was thinking like GUN Commander GUN Organization or Mephiles or even Dark Gaia or something new entirely.
I prefer this version mainly that it’s less stressful for me
Ripto's redesign in Spyro Reignited Trilogy is my favorite version and I would love to see The Sorceress Queen return too and I would love to see The evil purple dragon Sorcerer from Shadow Legacy return too.
My favorite Spyro Villains are The Sorceress Queen Ripto and The Sorcerer..

Ripto looks weird and... revolting in Enter the Dragonfly, and that idle animation. Ugh. Also the music doesn’t cut out when Zoe talks to Spyro in Reignited Trilogy. I love the Reignited version of his boss theme.

I'll say this for Ripto, he's the best boss and villain ever in the Spyro the Dragon franchise with powerful magic and he's far more powerful, popular, recurring, and better than Gnasty Gnorc. In Spyro:Enter the Dragonfly it was amazing the way Ripto transformed into a giant for a tough round 2. For surprising matters I hope Ripto will be in more Spyro the Dragon sequel games in the future as a final boss and take many giant forms which would be awesome. Best I do hope we get to see Ripto again in the future.
The original Spyro 4 plan by insomniac was teased if you 115% the game. Ripto+Gnasty were gonna be the villians of the next game.

The boss music in Spyro 2 adds more class to the battle. Ripto knows whom to hire to create some ambience while fighting

He's not so ugly, He is a Villain character.

Enter The Dragonfly is a notorious game for being rushed, broken and having so much of its content scrapped at the last minute.
It's a good read online.

i never understanded why in the original spyro ripto have no teeth but in the remake he does
Presumably the same reason they had mouths that moved like a sock puppets in the original, the technology was limited as to how much detail each character model could have.

I would love to see The Sorcerer return he's the only one not truly defeated and he's still out there waiting for his next attack.
I'm sorry guys but Ripto isn't my favorite Spyro villain I always never find him threatening or evillish I always see him as a Angry Man
I mostly prefer Gnasty Gnorc as MY favorite villain personally I do see him threatening after Crystallizing all the dragons all around their land
Maybe because I grew up with the 1st game alot I never owned Spyro 2 or 3 just the 1st one
And then a couple years later I got Enter the Dragonfly for my PS2 I the game is good I loved it alot PERSONALLY
And yes that was my first game with Ripto appearing I didn't know who the hell he was and yup I didn't like him
Back then and still don't like him today
And after Enter the Dragonfly another couple years later I got Spyro a Hero's tail and I was excited to play it and after I saw Gnasty Gnorc again I was happy to see him again but when I saw red and discovered later in the game he was the main villain I was ok with red he is threatening as a main villain
And that ends my Spyro nostalgic Trilogy
Spyro 1 , Spyro Enter the Dragonfly , and finally Spyro a Hero's Tail
Btw after I played Reignited Trilogy for the first time I didn't enjoy Spyro 2 but I like the 3rd game and loved the Sorceress as a villain
