When are we going to get the promised content for paying subscribers? Ive been subbed to skillcapped for months and still received 0 value for it. There is always talk of the new website and I love your videos but you should be honest with your paying customers who help keep the site running.
@@crumbsx new website is up i just subbed but its nothing but videos thought the tierlist they had for bfa would be behind a pay wall but its nowhere to be seen as of right now i would not recomend skillcapped hopefully that changes they just went up today on the new site will give it a few more days for an updated tier list to come out
I would love a series like "how to counter X" that shows us each of the cooldowns, icons, animations, sounds and maybe a few generic strategy notes. There is a LOT of potential videos to do. I know it would be outdated in future but I think it would still be worthwhile to reference down the line as you'd still know all the staple spells
This. Not knowing how to handle certain classes and which class to train in matches is a huge disadvantage, so we CC the healer?? Attack healer and CC the dps?
@@xDingoo why don't you make trial classes and see for yourself which spell from that class you need to keep an eye for? and then you make trigger with Weakauras to show when enemy casted that spell so you can prepare. DO IT YOURSELF
i swear i tried, the only i was seeing was the UI full of icons, the action bars full of macros, he's char running here and there and ppl dying. i learnt NOTHING. oh well. i did learn something. they use tons of macros and addons and shortcut for naming skills.
People just need to play more games. That’s literally it. You’re at that CR for a reason. I like to tell anyone who ask me how I got 2400 is to literally play the game. Be consistent with queueing 3s and make sure you have a stable group of players you can consistently play with. You can be too picky once you’re getting started and you can’t be that 2.2k player with that ego. People are willing to get better if you’re willing to give them a chance. That’s what I’ve learned and that’s how I’ve always managed to get high rated in arenas.
Ultimate guide? More like Intro guide. Cmon guys.... nothing said about the importance of LOS’ing, resetting for another go, planning chain CC’s, bursts CDs, identifying opportunities. Just these vague “study your class and practice” which is not really providing an actual guide.
sad but true like the "get glad" series from bfa u watched it and after ur not really prepared for anything just the same basic infos u hear for years now
Not saying you are wrong, but most players at the game suck hard time cause they can't even play the basics right. If you dont get your basics right there is no need to work on stuff like CC chains, if you cant even communicate properly with oneother. You obviously have to start somewhere but sure for a duelist being stuck this is not a good guide truly.
Yeah I’ve watched entire videos on positioning alone. There is so much that goes into getting higher rating. Honestly just watching rank 1s and playing a lot of games and always identifying what you could have done better
honestly the hardest thing is finding a partner that will stick with you. Sick of people just leaving after the first loss. I miss my old arena partners that I played with all throughout mop. Found those guys in trade chat during S12 and after mop they quit the game and have never logged back in
Honestly my best tip is get on discord with the people you que with from group finder make some friends with the same goals and grow togheter. This is how I got my first glad in bfa and hopefully how I will get it again in shadowlands :)
I think it's also important to mention not to overthink things when it comes to mentality. Especially if you can't tell for sure, because a lot of things will just come with time.
It blows my mind that back in wrath/cata I hit 2200 on druid, warrior, priest and 2500 on shaman, took a few xpacs off and now I struggle at 1500. The fundamentals are the same, so I felt like after 100-200 games I'd be able to climb. But nah, hard stuck on multiple classes. Although I have played suboptimal comps just to play with friends.
The hardest part for me, new to pvp, is the amount of specs and abilities one has to know just to be aware of what’s going on during the match. All these cd’s u gotta keep track of. It feels like I have to study every class/spec and than the best comps and how to counter them. It feels overwhelming.

yeah it does. But generally most classes have important 3 minute offensive CDs and 3 minute defensive CDs, while some sprinkle some lower 45sec-2 minutes cooldowns in between. But starting with those BIG BURSTY 3 minutes is great, as they are generally most powerful and not being prepared for them is always loss. And contrary, if you see their 3 minutes getting popped, you know its good time to give it a GO.
@TheProf82 Get omnibar. That'll solve that problem. You can look at every class' cds in the addon itself and choose which ones you want to track. Skillcapped already made a guide on this addon on their website.
Download Ability tracker addon (puts icons of CDs on your party frames, crucial if you're not on voice) and have a thorough look of every interrupt, stun, cc, offensive and defensive cooldown. When you're bored, pvp level another class, it's the most efficient way to learn not only the pvp talents, but also the strengths and weaknesses of every spec. General tip that promotes awareness : If you play a dps spec, especially in melee cleaves, download BigDebuffs and enlarge and anchor outside of your party frames to always have it right in your face if your healer is in CC. It's hilarious how melees get killed behind pillars
yeah this isn't a 'guide to gladiator', more a guide to not being really bad, but it's a useful guide none the less. I've played with plenty of players who don't even know what skills they have in the spellbook, or havent got them on their bars, or just have no clue about others' skills or abilities. knowing your own class is the first thing, knowing others is the second, then communicating is the third imo.
I also started recently and learned that you just need to be a more fun / chilled mind set to really analayse and see stuff instead of engaging and burning every cooldown at the first 20 secs of combat start

haha yes, that is very common... When I started (as feral) I focused SOOO Much on my opener burst rotation, and was always so surprised why I am fucking dead in 10 sec :D Absolutely not paying attention to that metero vfx below my feat lol :D Now rotations and such are just instinctive muscle memory, I just glance on buffs/debuffs and watch omni bar when needed, having lot more time to actually "play" the game

Have the problem i have an ui for pve but dont like it for pvp. Is it some nice tips to easily swap between ”ui presets”? Like 1 Pve UI and 1 Pvp ui. Would help me alot.
Well .... I got awesome UI. All the addons and stuff and over the years of playing WoW ... I never looked at it. Using gladius or sarena since it came out, using big debuffs etc. Can't look at it :D I can only tunnel vision what is in front of me. Damn even using voice I am so focused I can't tell my partner a single thing. A single CD or even ask for dark angel :D I simply cannot do more than 1 thing at once. I literally can't even talk when gaming.

Cool vid, except that for Warlocks Fear breaks so easily, even with the Conduit for the 100% or more damage taken before it breaks. As Affliction you're not gonna be Fearing people without DoTs since it's spread pressure, so, what else ya got for control besides Fears that break in 1.2 seconds because damage is so high? Stun is a minute long CD, slow helps with the Corruption pants but a lot of melee have so many gap closers it's absurdity in its finest. Also, do we get an RBG guide style? I've seen so many arena videos and I know Skill Capped has how to play RBGs, like strat wise, what I want to see is a guide for each spec/class on how to RBG as those classes/specs. They're entirely different from 2v2s or 3v3s. So, can we get people to put out guides for RBGs?
I play mistweaver monk with a warrior partner. If I don’t get two shotted we win everytime. The problem is we are getting over 1700 now and I can’t even get off two macros before a rogue two shots me or even if I pillar hide when I peak I instantly get wrecked, my partner sometimes will LOS me so I have to go out in the open or leave pillar etc which leaves me vulnerable. I can’t figure out if he is the problem or I am? I have full pvp gear etc
Watching streamer that have high cr and plays my class helps me the most. Watching videos like this and more and u will get better I Promis. I was hard stuck 1800 and now im 2200. Give yourself time.

Playing affi,was doing 2s with 1 more dps. It was going good. We went to 1350 in short time. Alot of wins.. and then from. There i start geting low mmr enemys burst classes who oneshot us in few second.. i am losing like 16 rating.. and when i win i get 10 or even less. Its strange for me.. on that low rating to have that system. What is this all about i cant find on internet? Enemys from that rating start to be so good like in 2k rating..
Anyone else find that SL more than any other expansion is the hardest to escape low CR? I’m far from pro. Started in CATA, and was able to get to about 1650 by end of cata as a complete noob. No addons, no tactics, just bursting people. Since then I’ve been close to 2k, and now I play with addons and much greater awareness. Yet the best I have achieved in SL is only a 1600 rating.
I noticed when you panned to the highest tier comps that Mistweaver Monk were on both teams. Do you see Mistweavers at being viable? There’s some noise on the forums they are the worst class to heal with in PvE and PvP right now. I’m still rolling with mine, but I’m only at 1200 rating for each system atm. Thanks.
@@skillcappedwowpvp This. I’m getting killed in two moves even though I use macros and the right addons. I have peaked at 1700 and can’t go higher. If I don’t die immediately we win every match. But now rogues rush across the map in 5 seconds and I’m dead near instant. If I don’t use my trinket I die after the trinket. If I use my trinket I also die 😆 yet I’m supposed to move across the map with cds to heal my teammates as well. Are my teammates supposed to peel for me? I legit want to quit healer this expansion for the first time in 10 years
Starting to think circle of life from prev video isn't worth as a legendary on Balance druids. Seems like Balance of all things is the move since everyone and their mother is rolling it

Does anyone have a list of everything i can dispell with Purify and mass dispell? Can't find a list anywhere. And also what i should dispell. I am only dispelling the obvious like bubble and iceblock.
Been looking for this too. I play both disc and shadow, and am still having trouble figuring out dispell priority. What debuffs should I instantly be dispelling from my team, and which buffs should i instantly be dispelling from the enemies? Is it worth just dispelling hots all game vs a resto druid/shaman or should I be doing damage instead?
@vena199204 hustor That’s because at the high end those comps are the best preforming (in 3’s), rogue was mostly just blowing people up in 2’s which is what the original commenter was likely referring to
Appreciate the advice, but the real issue I have is finding a scrub like myself to play with. Everyone asks for cr that is much higher than mine. It feels as though no new players are about, so I'm constantly searching custom but no one there. That's the thing that really sucks.I've posted on reddit and on discord groups (including Skill Capped) but everyone seems to have been playing for years, rather than weeks or months, which is understandable, given the age of the game.
I feel like challenger is not a bad spot to be in right now if you aren't familiar with all classes and their abilities. It's very tough to get out of -1700 rating for someone who just plays on and off. I came back this expansion after I had reached 2.1k exp in WOTLK and 2k in legion, and it's much more difficult, for now at least. 1600 rating used to be mostly noobs in the past and now I saw gladiators there. Maybe it's temporary....
Well unfortunately with the max rating needed for elite gear is 1800, I’d say we’ll be facing glads in 1700 the entire time. Too low of a rating and too many people willing to purchase a carry for it.
As annoying as mirror matches is you learn a lot from them. You have to accept somewhere out there, there is someone who played your class longer or more effective. I struggled with this a lot. On DK i mained for years before going back to my Ret I learbed how to beat every single DK i duled. Im currently leaening this on ret now. I use to hate going against other ret pallies in arena until I learned even my favorite ret pallies loose in arena to mirror matches as well. My point is a great way to get better is playing against the same spec where the player is better.
I could easily reach 1.8-1.9k in bfa from season 1 to 3 with my rogue and warrior, i took a break in season 4 and didnt play endgame content after got my curve in first week because fuck corruption it was so broken and i can’t even reach to 1.4k now, don’t know what went wrong with me :(
That's probably because youre comparing an expansion of fairly low pvp participation with inflated rating, to an expansion with the highest pvp participation in years which means there are a lot more skilled players on the ladder which changes the skill curve relative to rating on the ladder. You most likely didn't get any worse, there now is just a lot more skill gradient across the board.
2100 isnt low ratting, on that ratting you got more unicums than in 2400+, let me explain why: There is people who are true to their class no matter if their class is S-tier or C-tier, so imagine the guy playing his class which is currently C-tier at 2100, I asure you those guys are better than 99% of your 2400+ guys who play S tier meta classes, because on 2400+ people in most cases play those easy to play meta setup aka OP classes, which not need much skill to be succesfull. Ratting is not good measure of pure skills because meta interference.
i would not say its low, more like "above average" imo. depends on the percentage you belong to. but when 3,4k cr is the current maximum (just for example), than 2,1 cr is not that high, just above the average. the terms low and high (Rating) are used like black and white
Nah be happy when you reach your goal and dont let these people downgrade your achievement. I have been playing entire 8.3 playing 2s to reach 2200 rating as its the highest rating with achievement after learning the game and as i reached 2200 after months of playing day and night i felt so good. Right now im taking a break as preseason got really boring im playing a bit of league of legends and here peopl talk shit about high ranks as well. Plat and diamond which is literally 0.1-1% of millions of playerbase and people say lul plat. Anyway when i come back to wow im going to push for 2700 in 3s as thats highest achievement in 3s Be happy with your success and achievement and dont compare to others and dont let them downgrade your happiness. I met so many people reach 2100 and be really happy about it just like me and congrats to you as well. I know how hard it was and how satisfying it was to get there.
I'm hardstuck at 1200 as feral druid, managed to hit 1560 with a healer last week but then lost it all again. I'm only doing 2v2 with random people though. Still makes me mad how I can be this shit at the game.
To be honest though, you can’t assume you’re shit if you’re playing with randoms. No way to have good synergy with any 2’s partner if you’re just meeting them 5 minutes ago. Find a good rogue and play double deeps. And stick with that rogue. Don’t keep changing teammates. It fucks up your mmr and you’ll never make it anywhere.

Very nice video! :) Just... You can not play what you want or love to play! Not in WoW. Mainly because of other players. If you love to play a class that is not "One of the top best classes" - other players only want what is best for them and that is to get a team from "top meta picks"! It will be too hard to get someone to play with. So only pick classes "you like to play" that is at the top of the meta!

bro the hardest thing about wow pvp is finding people to play with, i literally sit in LFG for hours every day can't find a single person as 190 ilvl at 1900cr at all!!
Well how did you get to 1900 in the first place, and what happened to your partners? Maybe try accepting offers from lower CR people... Try working with them a little...I can't tell you how many times someone was same CR or slightly higher would just leave after the first loss... Fortunately I've played a healer in most expansions, and I can find partners all day long.... I'm just saying most people that struggle to find partners tend to be elitists that give up on people after just a few games
@@MrCodeman2036 i played with randoms to 1900 in LFG. they were super bad and i would not ever play high rated games with them. i tried switching to disc also but there is currently no one around 1900 cr in LFG . i think most ppl just play with ppl from previous expansions. and playing with ppl with lower cr is unviable as you will get 0 pts for winning and lose alot per loss.

Learn to enjoy a meta class? I mean shit. I’m a warrior and I’m scared of literally nothing right now. Im usually terrified of mages. But even that class is something I can comfortably kill at the current state of warriors. Locks can be fun. But boy are they easy to kill right now. No way to get away and I haven’t been kited at all this expansion as of yet by any class.
He is right tho. 0-2400 low cr 2400-2500/2600ish is medium 2600+ is high I mean just look at the rating the pros have at the end of a season.. they are all 3,4k plus. So yea 2400-2600 is medium

I mostly play in lfg so 3v3 tier list is my most valuable tool.. Ill just play with S tier classes from the discord tier list till I find somthing that works thanks again

One of my problems is as soon fight starts i dont see omni bar icons, all i see is oponents health, like everything else is blurred :)

Have the problem i have an ui for pve but dont like it for pvp. Is it some nice tips to easily swap between ”ui presets”? Like 1 Pve UI and 1 Pvp ui. Would help me alot.
Well .... I got awesome UI. All the addons and stuff and over the years of playing WoW ... I never looked at it. Using gladius or sarena since it came out, using big debuffs etc. Can't look at it :D I can only tunnel vision what is in front of me. Damn even using voice I am so focused I can't tell my partner a single thing. A single CD or even ask for dark angel :D I simply cannot do more than 1 thing at once. I literally can't even talk when gaming.

Cool vid, except that for Warlocks Fear breaks so easily, even with the Conduit for the 100% or more damage taken before it breaks. As Affliction you're not gonna be Fearing people without DoTs since it's spread pressure, so, what else ya got for control besides Fears that break in 1.2 seconds because damage is so high? Stun is a minute long CD, slow helps with the Corruption pants but a lot of melee have so many gap closers it's absurdity in its finest. Also, do we get an RBG guide style? I've seen so many arena videos and I know Skill Capped has how to play RBGs, like strat wise, what I want to see is a guide for each spec/class on how to RBG as those classes/specs. They're entirely different from 2v2s or 3v3s. So, can we get people to put out guides for RBGs?

I play mistweaver monk with a warrior partner. If I don’t get two shotted we win everytime. The problem is we are getting over 1700 now and I can’t even get off two macros before a rogue two shots me or even if I pillar hide when I peak I instantly get wrecked, my partner sometimes will LOS me so I have to go out in the open or leave pillar etc which leaves me vulnerable. I can’t figure out if he is the problem or I am? I have full pvp gear etc

Watching streamer that have high cr and plays my class helps me the most. Watching videos like this and more and u will get better I Promis. I was hard stuck 1800 and now im 2200. Give yourself time.

Playing affi,was doing 2s with 1 more dps. It was going good. We went to 1350 in short time. Alot of wins.. and then from. There i start geting low mmr enemys burst classes who oneshot us in few second.. i am losing like 16 rating.. and when i win i get 10 or even less. Its strange for me.. on that low rating to have that system. What is this all about i cant find on internet? Enemys from that rating start to be so good like in 2k rating..

Anyone else find that SL more than any other expansion is the hardest to escape low CR? I’m far from pro. Started in CATA, and was able to get to about 1650 by end of cata as a complete noob. No addons, no tactics, just bursting people. Since then I’ve been close to 2k, and now I play with addons and much greater awareness. Yet the best I have achieved in SL is only a 1600 rating.

I noticed when you panned to the highest tier comps that Mistweaver Monk were on both teams. Do you see Mistweavers at being viable? There’s some noise on the forums they are the worst class to heal with in PvE and PvP right now. I’m still rolling with mine, but I’m only at 1200 rating for each system atm. Thanks.

But now rogues rush across the map in 5 seconds and I’m dead near instant. If I don’t use my trinket I die after the trinket. If I use my trinket I also die 😆 yet I’m supposed to move across the map with cds to heal my teammates as well. Are my teammates supposed to peel for me? I legit want to quit healer this expansion for the first time in 10 years

Does anyone have a list of everything i can dispell with Purify and mass dispell? Can't find a list anywhere. And also what i should dispell. I am only dispelling the obvious like bubble and iceblock.
Been looking for this too. I play both disc and shadow, and am still having trouble figuring out dispell priority. What debuffs should I instantly be dispelling from my team, and which buffs should i instantly be dispelling from the enemies? Is it worth just dispelling hots all game vs a resto druid/shaman or should I be doing damage instead?

Appreciate the advice, but the real issue I have is finding a scrub like myself to play with. Everyone asks for cr that is much higher than mine. It feels as though no new players are about, so I'm constantly searching custom but no one there. That's the thing that really sucks.I've posted on reddit and on discord groups (including Skill Capped) but everyone seems to have been playing for years, rather than weeks or months, which is understandable, given the age of the game.

I feel like challenger is not a bad spot to be in right now if you aren't familiar with all classes and their abilities. It's very tough to get out of -1700 rating for someone who just plays on and off. I came back this expansion after I had reached 2.1k exp in WOTLK and 2k in legion, and it's much more difficult, for now at least. 1600 rating used to be mostly noobs in the past and now I saw gladiators there. Maybe it's temporary....
Well unfortunately with the max rating needed for elite gear is 1800, I’d say we’ll be facing glads in 1700 the entire time. Too low of a rating and too many people willing to purchase a carry for it.

As annoying as mirror matches is you learn a lot from them. You have to accept somewhere out there, there is someone who played your class longer or more effective. I struggled with this a lot. On DK i mained for years before going back to my Ret I learbed how to beat every single DK i duled. Im currently leaening this on ret now. I use to hate going against other ret pallies in arena until I learned even my favorite ret pallies loose in arena to mirror matches as well. My point is a great way to get better is playing against the same spec where the player is better.

I could easily reach 1.8-1.9k in bfa from season 1 to 3 with my rogue and warrior, i took a break in season 4 and didnt play endgame content after got my curve in first week because fuck corruption it was so broken and i can’t even reach to 1.4k now, don’t know what went wrong with me :(
That's probably because youre comparing an expansion of fairly low pvp participation with inflated rating, to an expansion with the highest pvp participation in years which means there are a lot more skilled players on the ladder which changes the skill curve relative to rating on the ladder. You most likely didn't get any worse, there now is just a lot more skill gradient across the board.
2100 isnt low ratting, on that ratting you got more unicums than in 2400+, let me explain why: There is people who are true to their class no matter if their class is S-tier or C-tier, so imagine the guy playing his class which is currently C-tier at 2100, I asure you those guys are better than 99% of your 2400+ guys who play S tier meta classes, because on 2400+ people in most cases play those easy to play meta setup aka OP classes, which not need much skill to be succesfull. Ratting is not good measure of pure skills because meta interference.

i would not say its low, more like "above average" imo. depends on the percentage you belong to. but when 3,4k cr is the current maximum (just for example), than 2,1 cr is not that high, just above the average.

Nah be happy when you reach your goal and dont let these people downgrade your achievement. I have been playing entire 8.3 playing 2s to reach 2200 rating as its the highest rating with achievement after learning the game and as i reached 2200 after months of playing day and night i felt so good.
Right now im taking a break as preseason got really boring im playing a bit of league of legends and here peopl talk shit about high ranks as well. Plat and diamond which is literally 0.1-1% of millions of playerbase and people say lul plat.

Be happy with your success and achievement and dont compare to others and dont let them downgrade your happiness. I met so many people reach 2100 and be really happy about it just like me and congrats to you as well. I know how hard it was and how satisfying it was to get there.

I'm hardstuck at 1200 as feral druid, managed to hit 1560 with a healer last week but then lost it all again. I'm only doing 2v2 with random people though. Still makes me mad how I can be this shit at the game.
To be honest though, you can’t assume you’re shit if you’re playing with randoms. No way to have good synergy with any 2’s partner if you’re just meeting them 5 minutes ago. Find a good rogue and play double deeps. And stick with that rogue. Don’t keep changing teammates. It fucks up your mmr and you’ll never make it anywhere.

Mainly because of other players. If you love to play a class that is not "One of the top best classes" - other players only want what is best for them and that is to get a team from "top meta picks"! It will be too hard to get someone to play with. So only pick classes "you like to play" that is at the top of the meta!

Well how did you get to 1900 in the first place, and what happened to your partners? Maybe try accepting offers from lower CR people... Try working with them a little...I can't tell you how many times someone was same CR or slightly higher would just leave after the first loss... Fortunately I've played a healer in most expansions, and I can find partners all day long.... I'm just saying most people that struggle to find partners tend to be elitists that give up on people after just a few games
@@MrCodeman2036 i played with randoms to 1900 in LFG. they were super bad and i would not ever play high rated games with them. i tried switching to disc also but there is currently no one around 1900 cr in LFG . i think most ppl just play with ppl from previous expansions. and playing with ppl with lower cr is unviable as you will get 0 pts for winning and lose alot per loss.

Learn to enjoy a meta class? I mean shit. I’m a warrior and I’m scared of literally nothing right now. Im usually terrified of mages. But even that class is something I can comfortably kill at the current state of warriors. Locks can be fun. But boy are they easy to kill right now. No way to get away and I haven’t been kited at all this expansion as of yet by any class.
Play a class that you enjoy and don't deviate from the meta are counter intuitive when the balance is so far out of wack.
