Omg the thong story! 😂 I also did my own laundry since I was 8 and when I studied abroad in Spain my host mom also folded my underwear in thirds 🥲 it was the first time I’d ever had folded underwear! 😅 now I do it myself and think of her every time ❤

I’m Turkish and I got married in September as well! The amount of gold would blow your mind compared to what you’ve received (don’t mean that in a cocky way). The amount of gold you receive is kind of a signifier of wealth (very materialistic I know) but it’s very much so tradition. Turkish people will either give you cash or gold.

in Greece in our balconies we have 4-5 rows of hanging/drying wires so my mom taught us in the outer wire you hang towels and bed sheets and in the inner wire you hang your underwear so people won’t be able to see them 😆 ps love short nails. I find they fit the clean girl aesthetic. The almond claws everyone wears are the new long square 🤣
OMG that laundry story was hilarious! It reminds me of growing up with my dad... it was just him and my 3 sisters. The first time he tried to fold a tank top with a built in bra he just stared at it for like 5 mins and gave up. It was so funny.

Former nail tech here: I keep my nails in the sweet spot in-between your long nails and your nails now. Still fancy lady nails but more practical for everyday.
This vlog is everything haha! In the middle-east countries not only the close family give gold to the bride, but EVERYONE (family and friends) who knows the bride/groom/the family of the bride or groom will bring gold as a gift for the bride! it's kinda crazy but so sweet haha.
I use to have the LONGEST nails, like poking me in the eye nails haha! But then I was moving and had to get rid of them because I couldn´t pack with the long nails HAHA. THE best decision I have EVER made. I love my short nails and now I even trim them as soon as they start to grow long again. You made a great choice!
Ahaha in Europe we don’t use dryers as much. My mother in law does the same thing 😊
Regarding your stew storage. I make a lot of big batches of soup/stew. I put in the fridge what we can eat in the next three days and then the rest goes into glass jars or freezer bags, freeze them flat on a cookie sheet and they store nice and neat ready for future quick meals.
The short nails look great! I go back and forth but for whatever reason I think dark moody nail polishes look so chic on short nails, so maybe next time you go to the salon get a super dark cherry or dark forest green or brown or something and see how you like it!

You were the first RUclips Channel I started watching about 3-4 years ago, when the pandemic started, and have loved watching your videos ever since. Always look forward to watching them, especially your vlogs. You come across so kind, funny and down to earth and don’t take yourself to serious. I’ve started watching a few other channels in the past couple years but yours are always my favorite. Loved this vlog and fyi, I’m also a short nail girl after doing gel nails for 2 years straight (have now stopped), and short nails are soon much better and you can do everything :) Happy Sunday X
About the nails, I do an in-between: short nails but the oval shape you had! Even if my nails seem wide, I can do this!! And it looks fancy with all the ergonomics!

I tried for years to grow my nails but they break because of work. I've recently decided to rock my nubbins and treat them well as they are. I still oil them everyday, I put nail polish on them all the time but keep them short and nimble: they look good are healthier and I can do all the things. I love it!

I had long nails for years (my own, grown out with the gel on top) and loved them! Towards the end of my pregnancy, a friend said “you do realize you’re going to get baby poop stuck under them when changing diapers?” 😅 I chopped them off a week before the baby came. Four years later, and I haven’t gone back!

I noticed you wear your engagement ring first and stack your wedding band last and wondered if that's your preference? there is no absolute rule, ofc, but traditionally the wedding band is worn first to be 'closest to your heart' (sounds so cheese but it's a thing!) and the engagement ring secures it in place. Just wondering if you knew, keep doing you though!

Funny you mentioned that about the gold you receive when you get married to a Serbian. My husband is Serbian and my mother in-law gave me a gold necklace, to my surprise. I also didn’t know they do that. My necklace was so long, no one even knew I wore it. I saw a picture of you wearing a thin dainty necklace on instagram, that fell perfectly into your collarbone. I was so happy I could made it into a necklace and a bracelet. I’ve been wearing it ever since and it’s almost two years since I got married, not ones have I taken it off.

I actually hate long nails. I did a Static pop on manicure set for a wedding last weekend and couldnt wait to get them off. I just felt so limited and silly to say, powerless. Like if someone tried to mess with me I couldnt defend myself. I took them off the next morning and was so happy to be back to my short nail life.

Folding the THONGS!!! ha the BEST I was drying mine in a small town in Italy called Sperlonga. Well, a windstorm came up whilst I was having an afternoon Spritz at a local afternoon "retreat" in Italy. When I came back to my condo some of my thongs were MISSING! It’s gorgeous and fresh! The lip balm in berry is definitely something I’m getting. I wonder how picante would mix with berry colored blush. Which nudestix berry / autumn blush should I try?
I know Tatcha is a splurge but in my opinion it's worth it. I've used the Dewy skin cream for years, lately I've been trying some other moisturizers I got for free at work and nothing really compares. After a few months I opened a new Tatcha bottle and it just reinforced how much more I love that cream than any other I've ever tried.

I've had long nails since 2021 and recently went back to shorties just last month. I love short coloured nails, but didn't like long nails with designs/colours (I typically went with an au naturel colour like you) so it's nice to be able to partake in some fun colours again. I've also gone back to shellac (no acrylic, hard gel, etc.) since they're shorter and don't break as easily so I'm saving tons of $$$. Maybe try the world of press ons for special occasions/photo shoots? I've heard there are some really incredible options out there now.

It's the first night cream i used up PRETTY quickly coz I liked it so much I'd wake up to using it also during the day. Still pricy but at $60 still better price than the Tatcha.

Short nails are the best! Grow them a tad longer than they are right now and ask for an almond shape. You’ll get the same sleek/sexy effect as long nails to compliment your jewelry. Square nails are always so boring so go almond shaped!
