Well to me it sounds more like an instrument, Serum like a computer program. Plus I guess it's more versatile but I'm no pro. I have Serum now trying this one and I would prefer this one over Serum, instantly.
The best should always be what you think is best for you. What I found is there are synths I like to make music with and synths I just end up twisting the knobs with no results. Serum is one of my top latter synths.
One could argue taste differs but most healthy human beings consider the same sounds to be pleasant= good, so there is a rational behind sales that is undeniable.
After years of making music, haven't released something yet though I could like tomorrow, I found myself always turning to the machines that offer good sounding presets from the factory programmers not the ones people say it's the best like many did and still do with Serum. I prefer Omnisphere, Zebra, Spire, now Avenger...over Serum. I'll even get my hands on Nexus I really didn't want it first because it's not even a synth and even if I not may like 99% of the artists that Refx brags about on their homepage I want it now, with experience I gathered over years because it's way easier to really get stuff done with machines that sound good from the beginning. I also don't talk about mainstream big room IDK kids' stuff that all sound the same. I mean everything from Techno to Psy Trance, Drum'n Bass, Electro, Pop, Hip Hop... just everything is easier on those machines FOR ME. But once again I CAN ONLY SPEAK FOR MYSELF as I did before and how comments are supposed to be.
@Pest.Test and Demo channel there is such a thing.
Omnisphere is hard to beat
As a loyal customer, I have Metrum, FX collection and Phalanx but they do not offer loyalty point. They do not give you anything if you are a loyal customer. So I wont buy their products anymore. I think they are not ready to become a big company. I own other products from other companies and they do offer so much discounts, loyalty points etc.
Здравствуйте. Сможете объяснить как указать путь к библиотеке. Проблемма такая: вообщем всё было хорошо, затем зашёл в "сontent" и хотел добавить скачаную 29gb библу, менял пути вообщем наменял что теперь вообще ничего не видет просит указать путь я ничего не пойму...

Buyer beware VPS Avenger requires you to renew your license every 90 days ! If you use soft synths for live performance you will be surprised like I was when it suddenly doesn't work and you have to go thru a convoluted process to renew it. Then if you decide it is too much of a PIA and go to sell it they charge you $36 to transfer the license !!

Using it as a Preset Thing it's good enough. For creating own sounds it's sadly not worth it because with every update they do new more bugs.

I recently purchased the Avenger VST.
It’s a great VST but I have an issue in that it takes almost ten seconds after clicking on one of the pre-sets before it plays the next preset. I have watched so many videos to see if this is normal but everyone that I have watched loads quick and does not do this.
Is this a common issue or perhaps something I am doing wrong?
I have uninstalled and reinstalled it but am still having the same issue.
Any help is greatly appreciated as this is sooo frustrating!

@@s0ckpupp3t thanks for the reply. Still no luck which is really frustrating, as it’s an amazing synth but it almost makes it impossible to use with loading times. Nexus have got it good with how you can preview the presets before you load each one. My pc spec:

Great sound very commercial. I don't wanna try to find preset. other plugins(spire etc.) not bad... but this very useful. How to RAM&CPU performance ? Thanks!

I tried the demo and it kills the CPU, i7 PC. I think this is the reason why it is on sale all the time. I sometimes wonder if the Devs who code these synths actually take the time to do things properly, instead they rush and take shortcuts with their code to make a deadlines; so they can start selling. The Developers then expect to make their money on the initial run and you hope and pray will release a fast updates to fix the bugs, but that never really happens.
Also, these newer synths with 1080p resolution features are very hard on CPU. I have learned from the popular VST coding language, which I believe is C++ To enable better graphics it cause's an exponential rate of CPU processing. I recall it's flaw in the C code language; another reason I stay away from the synths which are very HD Graphics centric. I think this synth has nice sound, but I'm staying very far away from it. I also beleive I can make better sounds in OnminSphere or Kontakt. Plus I just bought the composer cloud EastWest deal. yes, the sampler is dorky looking, but the sounds are really good and the CPU is very minimal.
Just freeze the sound when you find one and you won't use any CPU.
8 oscillators = dead i7. My i9 takes a 20% hit from one preset.
Curious if anyone has gotten this thing to run smoothly without it Crack'n out like a Drug-Addict coming down from a Meth binge. ;-) Seriously, I so want to buy this synth, b/c they are running a sale right now. I'm just not sure if I want to pull the trigger; when I tried the demo, it was causing major CPU spikes. I have two computers, an older 8-core Mac Pro with 32 GB ram and SSDs, Plus a relatively new i7 Win7 Pro PC with 16GB Ram and a SSD. I have no problem running multiple instances of Serum, Massive, Omnisphere, Kontakt and EastWest Play engine, barely makes a dent on my CPU usage. But, when I open only one instance of Avenger, everything starts cooking. CPU levels in the 80 to 95% range... pop pop, crack crack, spike spike, on both computers. WTF! This happens when pretty much on most of the sounds. IDK, even if I had super-computer from F'n NASA, I could get this synth to run.
once I found a melody I like on it I bounce it down to audio to help with cpu and remove the vst
This plugin crash in Bitwig, FL studio, Ableton Live etc ... i don't no why i have this problem, maybe card vidéo, i have old card.

Hello Misi :-) Gondolom azóta már kitaláltad, de a biztonság kedvéért írom, hogy ez csak egy software shynty, ahonan a hangszíneket lehívod. Szóval ez nem egy soksávos digitális studió! Az a felület alatta van, amiből néha látsz egy keveset. Tehát: Szükséged van egy software studióra ami rögzíti amit feljátszol. Továbbá kell hogy legyen egy midi, vagy USB keyboardod amivel feljátszod a sávokat, és végül egy hangtár mint pld. az Avenger. Sok sikert! :-)

@@satyabratasatapathy6615 I've heard that reFX used Vengeance sound engine in their Vanguard synthesizer which is now discontinued.
Manuel Schleis is the arthour for both Nexus and Avenger.
Nexus began development in 2003 and released in 2006. Tho I do not know how long it took to make avenger.

would spend the money on Diva too.. even after pondering it for a while I still can't justify buying this,
it doesn't sound spectacularly different from any number of other products on the market
I have the Korg Kronos too - we don't need much else! But I do own Zebra, Diva, and Nexus and love and use all 3!
I also own the Korg Legacy Collection virtual synths, and the Arturia V Collection classic synths which all sound great! (Love the Matrix 12 plugin in that).
On a special pluginboutique.com sale I was able to get 80% off for Sektor synth and Hybrid 3 synth - both are OK for only $15 each - but I wouldn't pay full price!
And for real physical synths I also own a Korg Triton Extreme, and the Roland JD-Xi (tiny, but fun!), the JD-Xi actually has a REALLY GOOD sound I think!
I also bought the Virtual CZ plugin on a massively discounted sale price, and it's great for the "PRO" Casio emulation for that 80's synths and "SYNTHWAVE" sounds.
Omnisphere I will buy at some point - I'm not sure if I would buy Serum or Spire - but maybe.
All I can say about this heap of total rubbish, is that I am pleased I tried the demo first. The factory presets are a very low standard, the volume annoys the hell out of me constantly resetting to a level you cannot hear. To sum up 4.5 gig of total mediocrity!!! Get your act together Vengeance.
