He was taking antibiotics for a staph infection all fight week, so he wasn’t 100%. That being said, Dustin hits you on the button with a hook & it’s night night.

@@angelrivas4042zip it up when your done
Dustin is a beast, but i am pretty sure a second fight between both of them would more likely go in favor of Benoit.
Besides the conditions staph, antibiotics, him giving it all in 1st round etc that led him to the fight, in a way he needed such a loss at this moment in his career.
Everybody including his coach, kept telling him, don't brawl, stop brawling, and for sure Dustin is the last guy you wanna brawl against.
He is a smart guy, this time he learned the hard way, i expect him to come back stonger than ever after this fight.
Some of thos guillotines were actually dangerous. I dont think you're right, Dustin trained very seriously for this fight. You dont give him thé credit he deserves
@@anthonysilver7104 I gave him the credit he deserves, if you are able to not read selectively you would see i did just that by calling him Dustin a beast and saying he isn't the type of fighters to brawl against unlike Benoit's previous opponents, you're triggered for no reason.
As for the guillotines, they were dangerous, but he escaped all 4 of them, so i am not sure why you are mentioned them.
@@mindfulstoic3095I was obviously answering to the comment just above mine, which said that Dustin didn't take this fight seriously.
It's a pleasure to see his interview for a frenchman like me.
These interviews are great Nina. Keep it up!
great guy, very manly, masculine. I think that every woman would feel very comfortable in his company. Very pleasant interview. French accent in pronunciation, calm and interesting conversation. I think this will be my favorite interview.
chivalry heritage
Man this dude is so humble and has an incredible mindset
This dude is highly dangerous in there and gave my boy all he could handle until he got caught. I like his style and am now a fan and will look forward to his future fights. Dustin's striking is next level, especially right now I feel he's never been stronger in there. Losing this fight doesn't diminish anything he's done and I firmly believe he'll be top 10 soon.
Thanks Nina ! For doing an interview with my OG ! Very classy interview 😊 !
🫡 man good dude. DP is the 💎 but this guy is a beast. Gotta respect someone who has so much pride in where they come from
We are behind you Benoit! No matter what happens ! Rest well warrior! 🇫🇷🇫🇷 People will spit on you but I have no doubt you will be champion one day! 'e time and ahead of you and your precocity is already almost unheard of! Thank you Nina for your interviews and your personality!
He looked tired due to the infection. Would beat Poirier otherwise
Not sure but he definitely started the second round in a bad shape.
Dude I’m French, but I don’t like you’re decisive tone
Dustin showed how good he was, and this scenario could have happened infection or not. BSD still have improvements to make, his defense was his downfall and it could have ended like this even at 100%, make no mistakes about it.
Really excited to see him improve and test more guys in the top 10. But donc take anything away from DP
@@alexf268I agree
@@alexf268well said, I think the UFC are aware that BSD wasn’t 100% and thankful he didn‘t pull out last minute and ruined the show. He will probably face a couple top 10 guys before he gets another shot at top 5. I am already dreaming of DP taking the belt and defending it against him in the near future, that‘s highly hypothetical but who knows?
@@juliengomez4708 yeah unfortunately I don’t see this happening again. My guess would be something like : Dustin fight Islam for the belt one last time and gets murdered, and announce his retirement satisfied he had at least a last chance. Islam defends his belt just a few for more times against Gaethje, Oliveira, tsarukyan, ect, murder them all as well, then go to retirement too in about 2 years.
By that time BSD improved and made a few others statements in the top 10, and is finally ready to be n1 contender and fight for the belt. When Islam will be gone, everyone in the division will finally have some hope, and anything can happen. If BSD worked hard and smart until then, he could totally be in the picture to be champion
So sad he was sick during this fight
He seems to be a lovely guy and humble, calm, no trashtalk
Seems like a great guy, and tough as hell. DP said he was stoic throughout fight week, I saw the same… seems very respectful. As a former Marine, I’m pulling for this guy in most cases because he seems genuine - glad DP got him though.
He was a french marine you know?
His regiment is : 1st Marine infantry paratroopers regiment. Belonging to special forces. Their is lot of several other marines regiment, but only this one is special forces.
Bro, that is the calmest man in the world.
Tu as raison Benoît de leur dire que leur pain est dégueulasse 😂 , nina please organize a meeting bsd vs strickland on the shooting range, it will be great
Exactement, make it happen Nina

Pas le même type de perso en vrai. Sean est le cliché de "l'Americain" je suis pas sur que BSD apprécierait forcément sa companie

i can't stand idiots who talk trash, huge fan of warriors who keep it real! this french guy is great and he will make it very far.
People who trashtalk him have never set foot on a ring or octagon, it's always the same braindead people

Magnificent gentleman, an example for many French people, thank you Benoît!
Thanks for keeping it real, your authenticity is refreshing
He is a solid human! Watching this after the fight makes me feel bad for him, but I Dustin is a good human too So hopefully Benoit learns from this loss and comes back even harder.
Love bsd, hopefully he learns from the loss and fixes his striking defence
This dude is a savage. What a war with Dustin! Funky co ma Nina great interview as always!
Futur champ, he has dominated Poirier with two staphs and with a body full or antibiotics. Last time Poirier had it, he couldn't even stand.
(Yet he has made unforgiving strategic mistakes. But stop bashing him. He'll kill everybody.)
tg arête de dire de la merde
Love your interviews Nina. Great questions! Always enjoyable!
As a French fan, our hopes on this man are high ! Everlasting respect to Dustin Poirier not only for his accomplishments but even more for taking this fight and giving our boy the greatest opportunity in his career, legend of the sport ! BSD will be back stronger no doubt
A future legend! He will come back strong 100%!
Maybe my bread addiction comes from my French Canadian roots lol
Yo wtf I also prefer to drink my water at room temp, never ice. Unless I've been working outside and am overheated.
Much respect to this man 🫡 He will be champ in a few years 💯
great interview!💪 legit fighter and person ! i think he's able to make a lot of progress with this mindset.
This loss against Dustin gave him a good lesson for his path of growth.
btw. Nina looks impressed 😁

BSD is a good ambassador of traditional french spirit. This spirit comes from christianity (catholicism) and "chevalerie" (knight) and can be summarize by the sacrifice of your own life to protect the people. The purpose of true christians and a true knights is to sacrifice themselves for the "widow and orphan".
May Jesus Christ bless you Nina, America, France, and the whole world.
French youth need to drop all the clowns they are following on social medias (Booba, Kaaris, and all those idiot rappers) and start getting inspired by someone like Benoit.
Finally a frenchman showing his love for his country and his traditions, things need to change, i hope Benoit is a catalyser for change.
@@mindfulstoic3095a good part of french youth is actually brainrotted, hence why he had so many haters after his loss, but the other half that supports him is loyal and is inspired by him

I really like this guy. hope he goes on another winning streak !
A beast! Great respect for Dustin, an undeniable legend.
That said, Benoit will be taking over the category very soon, mark my words.
Bien joué l'interview Nina.
I was waiting for this one!!!
People saying that he is very serious , it is not him it is what he lived that made him like that , this guy with an experience to be a special forces trainer and you know how serious those guys are !
He can be fun too tho, but the circonstances here didn't put him in a position to be, the antibiotics for the 2staph infections he had really tired him, you can watch some interviews of him in french, he's a rly good guy (idk if there is subtitles tho)
Nina, you are just the best!!!!
Benoit tu vas revenir plus fort! La ceinture est pour bientôt ⚔️💪
Even tho he was sick and under antibiotics.. he still give a real fight to dp .. specially the 1st round .. he just can’t make war everytime need to work on his fight iq and he will be one of the best
Such a nice humble badass killer.
Super mec, j'espère qu'il sera champion un jour prochain! Go BSD !
