Brandon, thanks for sharing this tour of a Suite from Celebrity. My general reaction is that the space looks rather small for the big price . . . and that the overall decor is rather dull colours and plain finishes. It is surprisingly (shockingly?) understated. Where is the wow-factor? You are quite right to point out to us (and to offer constructive feedback to the cruiseline) deficiencies or inconveniences such as (a) the individual beds look quite small; (b) there is hardly an adequate table for room-service or anything more than a cup or a glass, and (c) the narrowness of the space between the couch and the chair and desk. It would be very cramped with more than two people, despite its capacity to sleep four guests... Footnote: does Celebrity offer lower/no Single Supplements? (unlike Royal Caribbean's 100% Single Supplements!) Footnote #2: did you easily get recognition for your Royal Caribbean status? How do the benefits/levels compare?
Yeah, I need to make a video on the "value" of the aqua suite. For the price, I am not sure it is there for me but others swear by it! Celebrity will run a single supplement discount from time to time but that's it. They do not have the 150% single supplement we get at 340 points in the crown and anchor society either. So sailing on her, is a bit more expensive off the bat. Great question on the benefits at Celebrity! Not sure if you have seen my video that dropped today but great minds think a like! ruclips.net/video/Xo0yFVbDVuM/видео.html
haha we are! This is really just a glorified balcony room. It is actually not a "suite". I had that wrong initially. It is just an "aqua class" room, no suite.
I can see they definitely upgraded the carpet. It’s the same from the silhouette which was upgraded about 2 years ago. I just came off constellation and we had old carpet from 9 years ago.
that bar in back of the bed is awful. When i was upgraded to this from an interior room I hit my head not once but twice on it in the middle of the night. When they upgraded me they acted like they had given me a million dollars. When I arrived at the room I was not impressed. Like it you said it is no different that a veranda room. The real perk is access to the thermal suite and blu. I never used the concierge. I am really glad I didn't pay for this and was upgraded for free.
The design of the cabin is blecherous (poorly designed for its function). I designed a new class of Royal Caribbean ship "on spec" and put a lot more thought into the design than was put into this. Even with the overhangs above the balconies... Since balconies weigh very little, I did an upside-down stair step, making the balconies of the top two decks under the pool deck consecutively wider. In other words, your balcony in this cabin would be about 6 feet deeper and the balcony below yours would be only 3 feet deeper, while the balconies below that would be as they are now. This solution provides better views and larger balconies for the higher priced cabins.
@@TheWeekendCruiser I am a semi-retired theme park Master Planer and chief Creative Officer whose father is a retired boat designer/builder, so I know enough to be annoying to Royal Caribbean, LOL. If you wish, I can show you the design of the new conceptual class of ship during our cruise on the Liberty together in about 11 days.
This is not a suite (i think). It’s an Aqua Class Stateroom. And the big diference from a normal stateroom is Free entry to the Persian garden and The Blue Restaurant (Aqua Class exclusive restaurant). Enjoy ⛴🎉🕺🏻
Hey Arne! You are very correct! I have no idea where I got "suite' from and must be because I am used to staying in Junior Suites on Royal Caribbean without the "suite" benefits. Think the price also had me thinking suite but it is really just a veranda cabin with aqua class benefits. Thank you for helping me understand this one!
It’s great to hear the good, the bad and the ugly from your knowledgeable cruise experience.
Thank you!!
Love hearing your take on all things to do with cruising.

I love to be in the middle because it really makes a big difference!
Very nice room but surprised it is a bit small. I guess we are spoiled with a junior suite! thanks for the tour.

Hey Brandon, thank you for sharing another great room tour.
Thanks Brent!
Thanks for the tour.
Great review, I was wondering if we should upgrade to an aqua class.

Ha, yes, the carpet was the highlight of this room! 😂
@@TheWeekendCruiser brand new well almost haha 😛
Your closet is so organized.
haha I clean up before I let yall into my room! 😂
Great video
A pretty nice room Branden, but no attachments provided for your enjoyment!
I can tell that you miss that Junior Suite closet on Royal.
haha, it is very true! That and cruising with only my clothing Not used to sharing!
The decor isn’t spa like or zen at all.
It really isn't... for a spa like experience, you would have though so right?

I would agree with your assesment of aqua class, not sure I would pay for it again. The bar was definitly the oddest part of the room.
Great for handcuffing your partner to

@@steveericson6209 that would be awesome! I am definitely looking forward to the cruise!
Definitely would not enjoy the overhang on the veranda!!
Yeah, I was not a fan. I look back at some of my pictures and it ruins... and we had some amazing pictures.
