Although red has less attack damage than bomb, red has more defense, so he and his team stay alive longer. He's more defensive while bomb is offensive.

That stage took me about half an hour because i was too dumb to realize what i had to do
The “freeze” isn’t exactly a shield though, it’s actually a smog that makes it so your attacks on the pig have a chance to miss and deal no damage. I also think another reason the game wanted you to get Chuck’s second class was because its support move lets Red attack again which is better than having Chuck attack when fighting a single enemy.

That skill give a good amount of miss change and when I first play the game the game didn't tell me to get the second class of chuck I killed that pig with the first class and was a pain in the a** but after that and all the other minibosses that the game has i kinda missed that guy
So here's why you should use red: His allied ability is a shield which negates any attack on your birds for the next turn. That's why he's really good against enemies that can 1-bang you after a few turns.

Some tips and strategies: Red's useful for reducing damage and is a general protector. Chuck's useful for damage against all foes and various buffs for your birds, usually having to do with speed. Bomb is used for single-target damage and damage buffs for your birds. Matilda is useful for healing... and healing. She's also pretty strong. Finally, the blues are useful for applying negative debuffs to your enemies and dispelling enemy buffs. They all have their uses, so don't only use certain birds and vary your strategies on a battle-by-battle basis. You can also hold anything to see what it does (and I mean anything, including pigs and your birds). I really appreciate you playing this game because I played it a lot as a kid and it's very nostalgic to see you playing it casually, so thank you and I hope these tips helped!

The Blues' Trickster class allows them to remove all positive effects from a target while doing damage, clear off all negative effects from all your birds while giving them a damage boost, and their rage ability allows them to deal a big amount of damage to a pig, stun a pig, and remove all positive effects from a pig, however, which pig gets affected by what is random.

Red isnt weak. He has more uses later. That prince guy dodges high damage attacks and so do ninjas. You can get a hat for red which splits the damage into 3 hits which bypasses the dodge. His passive lowers damage taken aswell. Do i have to even mention his special

You can also use Chuck's ability on bomb to force him to attack if you're in a situation that forces you to outdamage the pigs. And you should probably listen to Damiel as well...

Just a quick tip: you can tap and hold on any character in battle to see their abilities.
1) keep pressing on a bird or pig to see its info, it's gonna be very useful to see stats, what your birds do and what the pigs do
2) red's defensive capabilities and the 3 blue birds' abilities which vary a lot based on the class will get useful eventually, trust me

You are urged to buy the chuck hat because it has a dispel mechanic where it can remove all positive conditions from the enemy you attacked. In this battle, that pig has a fog buff where it has a 90% chance to dodge or ignore your attack. If you try to take on this mini boss without the new chuck hat, you will almost always lose because you are only hitting your moves 10% of the time.

Pro tip: you can hold down on birds and pigs to see their attacks, defenses and specials. Also, Red is going to be extremely good when you unlock his samurai class, he becomes essential in some fights.

Bomb actually gets worse as time goes on. You pretty much need Red and Matilda and there's no way he is doing the magic sheild battles and the wiz pigs castle without blues. And in my opinion chick is terrible he barely deals any damage and he has very little health.

Yesss, I would love to see just a full playthrough 1) just for nostalgia's sake and 2) to actually see Mr. Speezy play it with full knowledge of what he's doing.
First off your headgear changes what the bird's attacks and utility do. For example we saw that chuck changed to the lightning bird class which had a spirally attack that deals less damage but has a chance to disspell enemy's buffs (which is why the ice cream pig was a breeze) and the utility gives one of your own birds a free random attack which would be very good on someone like Bomb when there's only one beefy unit, using Chuck's turn to deal more damage. It's important to note that while the attack and utility change the main chili attack is unique to each bird
Secondly each bird has their own stats. You may have noticed that Chuck goes down quickly and that is because of his very low health. Red is supposed to be like the tank and has abilities that greatly aid in defense while also having a strong chili attack. He's best for the juggernaut with the banana stick as u can shield everyone right before the attack and deal heavy single target damage.
Finally, pressing and holding down on both enemies and allies is a very usefull tool and should be made use of more. You can see exactly how much damage each thing does and how much health each person has which better helps u make better decisions. Also it's just really fun looking at the weird stuff enemies can do and the names of the moves.

@Matix 777 um I think you mean Chuck. The whole point of bomb is he's a heavy hitter. Some of his weapons can chain to like one enemy but that’s it. Unless your talking about his chili, in which yes that would be true but you normally want to strategize with birds based on their normal skills

I would recommend getting the "druid" hat for Matilda from the trainer near the island
instead of a gimmicky shield that heals when you are attacked the druid just heals outright
also swaps the healing attack for a weaker attack with a devastating damage over time status condition

Reds third dragon class is OP, when you get to the point of being able to buy it, do so quickly because it’s super good, and matildas third class, the princess is the best for her

hey Eazy, just a bit of advice is that when playing stages with multiple waves/stages, make sure you take advantage of every birds turn. Like if there is one very weak enemy that can be killed with one bird, use the other birds ability and buff your other birds with their turn. Later on it can really change the battles. Also you can hold down on birds and pigs with your mouse to see their stats and abilities.

I remember playing this game years ago. I never beat the game although the game gets a LOT harder and weirder from here. There’s more ghosts, jungle guys, samurai, candy land and so much more. I played this game back in 2015 can’t wait to relive all those memories with you!
Tip: The more you use the golden pig machine, the rainbow bar will fill, when it fills up completely, you will get a guaranteed legendary item
Guaranteed legendary items, you can roll the x10 roll 3 times for 30 legendaries

Also, if you hold click on an enemy or ally for a second or two an info menu will pop up showing their base attack, ability, and rage chili ability. It shows all the stats and effects of it, and is better than wasting turns learning what they do.
Go buy the Samurai class for Red. It’s the one class that basically everyone agrees is top tier.

if you hold on your birds, you can see their abilities and what effects they have and heat the effects do. he same works for pigs
You have to get red‘s “Samurai“ hat, then he will be like op
Not only that samurai hat can reduce damage(for bird you choose) to 50% and others are 25% damage(good for defense)
And samurai has has less damage but tripled so you can win againts prince pig easily

Pro tip. Move chuck first, THEN, ON THE SAME TURN GIVE HIM THE CHILI. This will let you move once more as the chili exhausts your move, but you can use the chili AFTER moving.
A quick tip: pressing and holding a bird or pig will tell you their moves and what they do specificly.

A few tips uh
1. Many people have said this but ya know check ur birds stats by holding on them
2. My favorite load out is blues chuck and red, blues is honestly essential in the long run.
3. Each class has different abilities
4. Pirates and certain pigs are immune to harmful effects
5. Once you get it, rain bird is probably the best class for chuck, won’t say what it does but it’s my favorite, reds samurai is also one of my favorites. Every single one of blue’s classes are actually interchangeable cause they have there own strengths and weaknesses.
6. Bomb is overrated in my opinion, he’s good in some situations but he’s a massive glass canon cuz he dies easily.
7. Reds protection (ability) is essential for literally the entire game.
Edit: forgot to mention you can hold down on pigs as well

I have a soft spot for this game, it was my first rpg game and now I love rpg’s. Thank you for continuing this game. Edit: also I recommend using bomb (the black bird), Matilda (the white one) and chuck and red (the yellow and, ya know, red one) depending on the situation (chuck for many weak enemies, and red for bosses, but I used red mostly and only switched to chuck every once and a while because red is just better in my opinion) and use the blue birds for bosses because they do dmg over time with a hand full of weapons or lots of straight dmg with others which can do a lot to single targets
Edit 2: any idea how to get this game in America again? It’s not in the apple App Store and not on blue stacks (an emulator for the computer that you can use to get phone games on your computer with) so if anyone has any idea how to get it please tell me
The set i used was red blues and chuck its awesome combo if you have paladin for red for the heals and i have soft spot for thos game too!

Same. Angry Birds Epic was my first RPG and now I pretty much only play them.
Also is it me or does the game really want you to use Red and Matilda in PvE battles. I can't see any other team compositions that would work at well without Red or Matilda. And both just make an extremely strong strategy (Samurai Red and Princess Matilda were all I needed)
Red is protector, Matilda is healer, Bomb is powerhouse and Blues is trickster (specializes in applying special effects). The roles of those birds are pretty clear except for Chuck who is usually only used in very niche situations due to his low HP.
what I love about this is it isn't even a speedrun. he's just playing it because he genuinely enjoys it, and I'm here for it

i completed the game twice. in both playthroughs i left bomb to rot in his corner and used red instead, because of the shield, and it pains me that he doesn't use red more than needed

@@alexcattv I never even use Bomb or Blues throughout my playthrough. Guardian Red, Lightning Bird Chuck and Cleric Matilda is my best team and they carry me through the entire game.
Although i also like using DoT tactics like Voodoo Chuck and Druid Matilda.

You should use red way more. Shield ability is super helpfull and samurai helmet will make him pretty op. Also matilda druid is strong too ( she covers enemies in thorns that hurt pigs for 3 turns and heals more

Agree, in my opinion Red is the most important bird to just because you had to fight so many hard hitter enemy and with Red he keep your birds survive, especialy chuck, chuck is basically a glass canon.
Ikr, even on chronicle cave i usually just use red and chuck because with the right settings, both of them can basically wipe out everything

20:51 The reason that didn't do a lot is because the Prince has an ability that lets him avoid damage over a certain amount. Later in the game you get some classes with multi-hit/DoT attacks that kind of cheese the dodge mechanic, but it's a bit irritating in the early fights and really hinders single-target powerhouses like Red, Bomb, and the Blues.

You should use the red bird to deal with the big pigs. Set up his defensive shield together with Matilda's healing shield and you only take like 40% of the actual damage

I barely use him because his constant low health gets him killed way too much so he’s basically useless
I usually use bomb, red and matilda, and i use blues for bomb in case the pigs have some special ability

I’m so glad someone’s looking in depth at this game.
I would recommend using at least red and matilda because they are so useful mid to late game. Reds best hat in my opinion is his samurai hat, and matildas best hat in my opinion is either druid or priestess depending on the enemies in the stage. Personally I would also use the blues with their trickster hat late game, but his other hats are still very good as well.
Priestess is basically unable to heal in the pirate enemy stages and in those stages the druid deals bad damage, though youre correct with red and matilda being the most useful, because i can beat new chronicle cave levels with just the two

The game is surprisingly expansive. With the main storyline, "dungeons", and a PVP mode, There's a lot more to do, even co-op.

The biggest thing about this game is reading. The numbers don't matter as much as you think, especially against boss fights. Classes and weapon abilities/powers matter a lot more. For example, the weapon on Red you got sleeps them iirc, etc. Especially once you get the tricksters.
Also read what the pigs do (Tap and hold anyone and it will tell you their abilities)

Watching him use a lot of potions made me realize when I first played this I wasn’t that bad. I barely ever used my potions except the boos towers
The thing about the Blues is that as the game progresses, the enemies are going to apply more powers to themselves, and the blues are basically able to completely negate said abilities.

Rovio takes down alot of their angrybird games off the store, even the original angry birds is gone

They stopped updating it and removed the online arena battles in 2018. You can still get on Android by googling angry birds epic and clicking the Google play link. To download it on IOS you need to have had it downloaded and go to the page with apps that you have had and download it from there.

As a person who originally played the game, it's good to read up on descriptions and buy new classes, each bird will have a total of 6 classes each, 4 unlockable throughout the game. It's also good to think of good combos like Druid Healing with Blue's Trickster Combo, then add Bomb to just buff everything up. This is a strategy game so it's best to think of ways to properly deal with enemies.
