Hey Chrissy Steele! I think your comment at 1:08 is the most truthful comment about aging in the music industry... "it was bad back then, its even worse now!" I love it!!! Here's to the privileges of growing old, as we know it. Some never get to experience it. Keep on rockin' Chrissy Steele!
really truly miss you.. i grew up with you during the late 80's and you were a big part of my transition from hip-hop n house as a teen into the world of rock and hair metal. Never looked back since, and am still rockin' now at age 51! Love you kiddo x
Hi Chrissy. Not sure if you’ll be reading this or not, but if you are I want to thank you for your contribution to rock. You are, far and above, one of the BEST vocalists in the business. I’ve listened to Magnet to Steele hundreds of times, yet I never tire of it. The songs are fabulous, but they wouldn’t be without you. Thanks so much. I hope the next chapter in your life is a raging success! Best, Gary.
Thanks so much Gary. Your support means a lot to me! I’ve finally found the time and energy to release new music! I hope you have heard my new single “Insidious”. Keep rocking 🤘🤘🤘🌹💕
Completely understand your break from the industry! From the first time I heard your voice, you became one of my favorite female vocalists! Your cover of Alone was outstanding to say the least. Your music is fantastic and the world should hear your incredible voice! I do hope that we are all blessed with more of your vocals in the future! Blessings Chrissy!
I still owned the Magnet to Steele UK LP pressing. What a great record and fond memories.... Oh 1991 please comeback! LOL Love Don't Last Forever and I Cry Myself To Sleep killer tunes, killer times. Great to see you and "I'm all shook up" Chrissy! \,,/ JC/Miami

I saw Chrissy open for Jethro Tull at the Paramount in NYC. The next day I bought Magnet to Steele. I loved every song, played the CD to death, and waited for years for a new album.
Wow . That's sad really. You are truly a master and it is our loss in ways we won't know. We are still here . I am 56 and still rocking to what ever you have. Take care and looking great.
I bought your tape ! and you were the most amazing singer to this day i have ever heard ! beyond darby mills, don't get me wrong she is amazing as well but you two steps higher !
Hello Chrissy it has been a long time , I used to go see you in bars and clubs in Burnaby and Surrey back in the day I was around 22 and I am now 57 so that tells you how long ago that was. i always liked you , as a person as well as a singer , I knew you lbefore you got signed. You are never too old to do what you love . Peace and Love from BC
Exactly… bang on…it is sad, I can totally relate… as a guitar player losing my vocalist forced me to find a new identity as times were changing I too was late to the party after burning out in cover bands trying to support recording costs of original material. Winning a factor grant was cool, doing a compilation CD for A&R at the 92 Juno Awards was an honour even though it fell upon deaf ears due to a quickly changing market. We were too naïve to accept the fact that the change was Grunge as well as hip-hop no longer about the guitar but all about da Bass. I couldn’t for the life of me change my style to fit that after studying technical guitar as long as I did it just seemed so against my fibre so I hung up my guitar went back to school just like you did became a financial advisor for LondonLife…. I sincerely feel every word you spoke and I’m glad that you came back despite anyone’s expectations to do with you felt you needed to do it’s very cathartic and necessary I still write but for cathartic reasons only. I love your voice and I love your music, I support what you do and look forward to hearing what comes next JD
I grew up listening (n rockin) to ur music..and those days it was hard to get foreign music in my country...it was sorta good thing coz it gave me that sense of excitement when I get to buy ur albums etc...and gosh...I had this HUGE crush on u❤️...I still do...thanks to YT I get to listen to Ur songs again
Easy to say you were the best vocalist for Brian. But the Music Business is,and can be Brutal.Your recordings will stand like the sands of time.I loved your voice PERIOD.I know pronounce you.QUEEN OF ROCK. You and Brian opened the flood gates to female ROCK !!!!
It seems you were a victim, as it were, of timing. I cherish your album. Your my favourite vocalist, well you and Bon Scott lol. Thank you for your music, and for making this video. Cheers!
Dear Chrissy, Hey, girlfriend! Magnet to Steele is the BEST ALBUM EVER! I find LOTS of random bands on RUclips while looking for other stuff. That album is awesome. Peace. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻🤗🥰🇨🇦💖
After the "Seattle Death Star" (as someone else described it) appeared, it felt like everything else stopped. But for me the problem wasn't in the music nor the new kid on the block, it was (and still is) in the lyrics. Every genre has had it's ups and downs but lyrically every genre since the middle of the 90s has been suffering. Even artists known worldwide couldn't and still can't top their songs before that time.
Are you on Speaking terms with Darby Mills ?? Was there EVER a situation between the 2 of you ??, or was it blown out of Perspective ? Thanks. Oh, have you ever spoke to Lee Aaron ? The 3 of you are Considered by some as the Scream Queens of Canada. Thanks for the new Material Chrissy !!
I had that cd! But all my Cd s were stolen in nyc😢! Still listen to it on RUclips! Great songs ! Great band! Great voice! Grat look! Kust bad timing: i hate grunge!
Photographer, videographer, storyboard artist ride beside graphic artist and actress. They should have elaborated more. I think Chrissy Steel would have been an awesome photographer’s name.🤟😊
I should of remembered about how the music industry is. Duh! Strange how if a certain style didn't exist now, (let's say pop metal like Poison does,) that if it was new today, it would be getting a steady climb of attention. My point is, it does not or should not matter of what's new or more popular. Keep it all with equal attention. Without previous success of the "once was", they would have no one to thank. No success of their own. Right?
That's too bad. I just got turned on to your album and I thought your voice sounds like a mix between Alana Myles and Lizzy Hale, yet remaining unique. You may still be able to do something as the music industry is way different than back then.
Hi Jack. I quit the music quite a while back but a year ago I got back into it. Check my other video out called insidious ☺️. I’ve got another song coming out in a few weeks so stay tuned!
weird. Clicked another video because I remember the name, but no songs come to mind. Now faculty at StFX? how cool would that be. To get enrolled with a class with her, then off to get into Dexter's class in microbiology or whatever it is.
I was a big classic rock and Headpins fan when Grunge first appeared in the early 90's and at first I didn't care for it. Later in life my attitude changed a bit. Bands like Sound Garden, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, RHCP, Big Wreck and Collective Soul are great R'nR bands. Looking back I wish I had engaged that particular scene, especially when the epicenter was so close by.
I just saw you for the first time. I must say that you have the talent and the looks to have made a much bigger splash than you did. Timing isn't everything, nirvana was not special. Powers that be decided that they didn't want to pay musicians any more. Therefore the "grunge" or minimum wage lackey music took over.

I think going in the direction of a Sass Jordan style might have been interesting direction to go in........

Grunge ruined true rock. Now, good luck finding a decent current rock station. All classic rock
