hey hey, come on over and have some fun with crazy taxi! it’s party time! you have 10 crazy minutes! go ahead and pick a car and driver! hey, hey hey hey, are you ready to make some crazy money? here we go!
My 8 year old kid started learning guitar loves this track. I had Offspring playing a few weeks ago in my room and he totally fell in love with this band. He just learned the riff from the intro because he loves this song. I'm totally fucking happy he loves the music from my youth. Proud Dad over here. Punks not dead so long as you pass it on.
Man, i have had so many good times as a kid listening to this stuff, camping up the bush with my mates, riding motorbikes, smoking cones, and drinking beers.
Both of my older brothers passed away within the past several months. They both loved the Offspring so much. The one who died second was planning g on going to Rocky mountain Rock fest in VA but didn't make it, only by two weeks. They were the best people I knew and they liked to preach the messages offspring and other punk bands spread in their lyrics.
'That riff' was considered to be something like the Offsprings unofficial anthem. They played it often live and yeah, it makes several appearances in recordings.
When I started listening to The Offspring I was 17. My brother was 14. It was like a bondage we created, and it's still on. Last year, we took a trip out of our country just to see them for the first time. It was surreal!! This band did change my life!
Brings me back old school memories..when we used to hang around listening to this álbum all over again and playing football at all times.. Not worrying about anything, now we are fucked up working to buy cloathes and shit we don´t need
The best time of my life was in High School. Playing basketball with my mates by day, and drinking and listening this music in the night. Life was easier.
Here's an apparently unpopular opinion. I love every Offspring album. From the self titled one all the way to Days Go By. I personally don't see why people say they got worse after this. Yes, songs like Pretty Fly and Why Don’t You Get A Job? are poppier, and they changed their style a bit, but they kept the same great writing and instrumentation. While I love their earlier stuff, I still love Americana, Conspiracy of One, Splinter, RAFRAG, and Days Go By.
Americana was a good album just, i feel, not accepted at the time. It's likely connected to the Green day vs Offspring viewing. Green day sold out; not them, and that's where this comes into play.
Simon B. They're horrible now. They were punk for Self Titled and Ignition, then Punk Rock for Smash, Ixnay, and Americana. Then they kind of became Rock Punk for Conspiracy and Splinter, which was certainly a change, but I still liked it. Then for Rise and Fall, they became Pop Rock, and it sucked dick. I don't even know what Days Go By is, but man, is it awful.
they were the offspring for ignition, then they were the offspring for smash, then they were the offspring for ixnay, then they were the offspring for americana.....im glad u know ur rock categories so well.....I would doubt you, but the capitalization shows u r an expert...
@@ElCapitan28 I like bboth Rise and Fall and Days Go By. If you're looking for that "classic" Offspring sound. Try Trust in You, Hurting as One, Dividing by Zero.
I almost expect criticism with this comment, but this song comes across to me as not so much a truth statement but the reflection of the soul on a deep matter of wanting this planet to be not the way it is. Whether it be in a person or by you yourself in questioning the original intentions in a perceived or learned expectation in this day by day life we live... the hidden statement at the end for comic relief on a deep subject.
my favourite offspring song. hopefully they do a ixnay of the hombre full play through tour on its 20th anniversary like they did last year with ignition. :D
it was the ending of the Genocide (last track of Smash) and the intro of Change the world (last track of the next album)... its as if it's one single song divided in 2 albums..
Asbet barsoumian Dude the last track on Smash is the song Smash, Genocide is like the 5th song on that album. But other than that you are right, it is the riff they recorded after Smash :P
TheKingOfTheRotten Actually he's right. Yes, the last track on smash (the secret track) is basically the exact intro of this song, change the world. BUT, the lead guitar riff in genocide is basically the same melody as well, played over the same chord progression (with just some slight changes in octaves, but the same basic melody). watch?v=qhYgeGT_vcU Just listen to it from 13 seconds to 24 seconds. That's what he meant, and he was correct. The secret track on smash was of course exactly the same as the intro to change the world, but that doesn't mean he was wrong about genocide having the same guitar melody.
Everytime i was doing a major attack back the old days of Starcraft I,i was hitting play on that song...In the end I always was the winner! :D.Especially the starting theme is freakin awesome :)))))))))))))))))))))
FYI: It took them 20 years to write this song, they would put their progress on each album and finished it with this. They never knew how to end the intro sequence. The other band where you can hear this same evolution (no joke) is GWAR's A Short History of The End of The World. Exact same situation.
..20 years? This song came out in 1997 on Ixnay on the Hombre (their 4th album). They formed in their earliest stages in 1986, 11 years before this. They released their first album in 1989 and the only album with a piece close to this is Smash, their previous album. No clue where you got 20 years from. Besides the intro the song is pretty rudimentary too
Amazing song closing the last A+ Offspring album. The lyrics are really heartfelt too and I so agree with them. Fuck liars/compulsive liars/psychopaths/95% politicians.
I must say Sadistic Pancake, I really admire your upload name you have chosen for yourself. This album was used in a surf trip up to the NE coast of Auckland, beyond the city limits, EAST SIDE REPRESENT. We also have a west surf coast, bad one, poo to it with knobs on (Blackadder Reference)

the starting riffs are from the end of the album "smash." I always found that awesome.
Yesss..
It's also from the song 'Genocide'
This whole album is a spin-off of Smash.
but which one? I mean it sounds pretty familiar with genocide, but the hidden track from "smash" its basically the riff from come out and play.

Well kid, it's all over. America is done, demographically. White America is toast. Sorry.
Offspring were a great, great... great band.
Were? They are still around 😂
Ixnay, Smash, and Ignition are the best albums on planet Earth period.
fuck yeah
Ixnay and ignition were my favorites. But i love all of their songs. Start to finish. (Except for OC Guns. That was kinda trash)
I do like Conspiracy of one definitely their heaviest album 😁
'That riff' was considered to be something like the Offsprings unofficial anthem. They played it often live and yeah, it makes several appearances in recordings.
It's in this and Genocide. Does it appear anywhere else do you know?
@@jack_byrne_music Yes, after the end of the track "Smash" on the Smash album.
RIDERS REPUBLIC! 🔥
Love this game
still love it even after 5 babies a marriage a mortgage and a career that bit of teenage rebellion it evokes is timeless!!! Way to go OFFSPRING!!
Thanks for leaving the song/secret song intact! One of the best albums ever!
This song is a fine example of The Offspring's lyrical genius

I could listen to that drum solo for hours on end. Just makes me feel like I'm pumped and ready for action, and good things are coming.
sick intro... long live the OFFSPRING!
It was used when selecting a character in Crazy Taxi aswell.
Bad Religion and Offspring blasting all day from that cabinet, sweet times.
ok thanks for the info dude!

Conspiracy of one was there last great album imo
they did those songs for fun

They used the drum intro for the Crazy Taxi menus.
hell yeah thos games had a bad ass soundtrack.
And they used the full song for Crazy Taxi Tycoon
Yeahhhh I thought so!!!!
most epic punk song next to Genocide. Miss the old true Offspring from the 80's/90's ....
