Less lethal, but more common result of the setting being enabled is that it might cause you to break a freeze or miss cs when you stop moving because you'll auto attack a minion randomly, especially as a ranged champion

I press S every time I stop. To never let auto attack do that. Still love to have it on when I’m shoving a wave or just sitting back as Jinx with rockets smacking everyone from max range.
@@FoxiestLia Attack moving also works when doing that. Like shift+right click somewhere instead and the character will still autoattack everything in range.
@@AynshtaynnYeah, id rather having it intentionally be OFF, RATHER THAN ON, cuz it might messes up with my muscle memory, and then as u said, Shift + Right Click, its right there and its usually more comfortable, id say that auto-attacking actyually does more harm than good as a setting, but as long as u know what itsh doesh andzszh / oreszhkrtrrdrrtrrerrtrrdrrtrrdzszh u dont carezszh, then itsh fineszh.

Jokes aside, I don't use attack move because I find it messing things up and targetting the wrong targets far more often than I'd like. So i just use auto attack on, S to stop actions if I need to, and most of the time manually clicking on what I wanna attack.
I remember years ago when I'm still new to the game that I disabled auto attack just so I can dance near enemies

I have S bound to my mouse because I played a lot of wukong in season 2. Never knew this setting existed, it has also never been an issue for me.
I disabled It because I was dancing w the enemy laner and accidentaly hit him lol

I have mine on mostly because of a small thing I learned. You will auto a wave from inside a bush if the enemy team sees you there.
You wont if they dont see you.
So if you are sitting in a bush with a wave near-by, if you auto, run.
just see if minions aggro u my boy
@@dannychou7252 Minions prioritize other minions. In the case where I am mostly concerned about vision in a bush, I am in Top or Bot lane, right by the alcove. Where minions meet. So even if they see me they'd never aggro on me without direct action.

One setting that you must learn how to use and not die is the walk-attack setting. If you're an adc, for example, and is chasing a low health rengar into a bush, you can walk-attack into the bush, instead of walking amd then attacking. If you, you'll auto him mid jump, if he jumps on you, instead of simply dying. This helps with irelia, leblanc, yasuo, jayce, and every target dash that comes from fog. Especially important for those "killing from fog" moments.
Same thing for ability queing. If you press e on rengar as a vayne, it will only go off once he gets in range. So if hes about to jump you, just press e on him and itll hit him mid jump, pushing him away.
So (A)+(left click) and using an ability will que the ability?
So good to know, btw i attack minions sometimes while fighting an enemy in the wave, any way to prevent this?
@@Johanlob1 Actually no. A + Left Click will make your character walk to a certain location and hit the first unit close to that location once it gets in range. You can also click directly onto a unit to hit it especifically, like a right click. As for skills, there are settings you can apply so that your skill will only target champions. You would set it, for example, as v + skill button, and point and click abilities that can target both minions and champions will only target champions.

You should play yi against half of the new champions and ask yourself why you can't win against them. Try to do that in platinum or above.

Yi mechanically isnt that hard id say, and im saying this as a moshtlyierkrtrdrrtrrerrtrrdrrtrrdzszh Yi main, although im mostly a flex too, but Jungle Yish is my favorite role in the game, so theres that, it still requires more thought than ur average champ lol, but thats more because of the role itself rather than the champion.

as a ranged champion in the sidelane (i.e. support or top at the start of the game) you can scan bushes for wards without Oracle Lens, as if there's a minion in range and you are on vision then you will automatically attack enemy minions in range. As a melee champion, such as in every given example it was on a melee champion so apart from in the jungle you don't get remotely as much of an upside as a Thresh or Urgot or Zyra would get
This is entirely preference-based and depends on context. If you keep it on and are in a warded bush. Your character will attack anything red outside of the bush. Which lets you know it's warded without a scanner or red. If you have this setting off. You'll never know and be caught off guard when the enemies collapse on you from a blind angle. The attacking under turret can be countered by learned behavior to hit s or another command. You can't learn to autoattack from a bush when the enemy has vision to detect a stealth ward. So, I'll keep autoattack on and macro the other stuff, thanks.

Auto attack is a great thing to keep on. If you are in a bush with auto attack on, you will only auto minions/champs if the bush is warded. It helps easily know if theres vision, so you can play around it and cheese.
Or just clear vision, and see if minions aggro into you. There are other ways to check but I do agree auto attack is nice to have on.
@FoxiestLia if you're a support that is easy, but most other laners don't have spare control wards to put in every bush they wanna check or umbral glaive. They have to wait inbetween uses of their sweeper if they buy one.
@@plushyw5870 weird, I play pretty much every role and I usually always have spare control wards. And as I also mentioned. There are other ways to check for vision. Minions will aggro you if enemy has vision but wont aggro to you if they don't. There are vision plants all over the map to clear vision. If you are support then yes you usually have sweeper and / or umbral, with control wards and normal wards. But as a jungler you should by all means have a sweeper and probably a control ward or two. As a mid there is no reason not to get a control ward every few backs until full build. And as a top you also have no excuse not to get one.
Adcs usually play around supports who clear most of the vision hence they benefit from blue ward instead. But overall most roles either get sweeper or control wards and if you don't... well you're kinda trolling considering how important vision is in this game.
Not to mention the fact that you don't need to check every bush. You check key bushes. And ward deep with stealth wards so you can see if the enemy wards and with the ward ping have an indicator for when the wards expire.
I have it on because it tells me if a bush is warded. I get that it can potentially mess up tower dives but I press S very often so it doesn’t bother me
This is the only use and it's rare, besides maybe support, I find this useful.
Sure it might be rare, but IIRC this was one of the things recommended on this channel, to keep it on for this exact reason. I’ve also had moments where I’d stand still when I wanted to push a wave cause I have the setting turned off from some of my recordings

@@Alertum I mostly play ranged champions, so if I start AAing minions when I’m in a bush, I’ll know the bush is warded

I've known about this for 10 years and I've always kept it on because knowing a bush is warded by auto attacking has saved me countless times.
The First two settings i changed immediately when i first started was going to unlocked camera because locked sucks ass (idk how people tolerate it, I didnt even have it on for 2 seconds). And turning auto attcks off because your character doing something automatically without prior imput also sucks ass and feels aweful to play. Auto attack should be toggleable off of a keybind, not an on or off setting.
I press a and left click if I'm specifically wanting my champ to attack what is in way of destination. If you want the champ to go where you click strictly without auto attack then just right click bruh..
Thats not the point of the video. There is a setting that lets you autmatically auto attack when things get near you and it also procs when you get cc'd and someone is next to you. Thats what the video is about
that's attack move, not auto attack. also you don't need to press A, you can just hold CTRL when right clicking.

also a way to know if there is a ward in the bush, so it's not the "worse setting" that allows u to check if someone warded : if they did, you will auto attack on range, meaning they can see you, valuable information
If u have it turned on and Ur standing in a bush and minions Pass by u will start attacking the minions automaticly if the bush is warded by the eneny so it is great for botlane traps
Having aa on as support helps tell if there is vision in a bush

@@paeon theres a huge difference between attack moving and regular auto attack being on. Attack moving overrides the setting so you will auto from an unwarded bush, where the setting will not. Its literally a free sweeper 24/7 of you use it right.
It's good mainly for supports or jungle but not great for ADC or Mid it's ok for top though.

I just spam "S" the moment I am CCed unter enemy tower. Works like a charm
While I do play with auto attack off, it does have a benefit: ranged champions can reveal which brush are warded, because you'll only auto attack if the enemy team has vision of you, so if you're hiding in a bush and start randomly autoing the nearest target when something enters your range, you know it's warded.
There's also the people who dive enemies under towers w/o making sure they don't right-click the tower 😂

@@BIG2hats mostly it just makes it so u don’t attack randomly while standing still or when rooted like in the video. I think it’s worth it to get used to using attack clicks instead
@@maysun7094It’s not, as a jungler I keep it on so I can look at other lanes while farming the camp. Otherwise, your character will sit there doing nothing, especially when attacking krugs.
But if youre under turret you should be more prepared for you combo regardless

I turned it off because:
I was dancing with enemy and when I stopped I AA'd him
We both weren't happy
The reason why I keep it on (as a GM Support Main) is cus it helps me know if a bush is warded. My champion would move to auto attack if a nearby targetable non champion passes by a bush, most often time the wave. My champion wouldnt automatically move it is isnt warded.
It help me tremendously on lane bush control and setting up cheesy kills. Well, it doesnt matter much on low elo, but it makes a ton of diff in higher as a support.

I actually still use this setting, and I've learned to use it to my advantage quite often. And, since I've been playing for about 12-13 years, I've gotten extremely on-point with using S at any point I need to. It's one of my most useful keys to press, and I prefer using it to stop over just "walking to where I want to". I click further, and then press S exactly where I want to stand.
Only time it screws me is if I get rooted under a turret by an ability I didn't see coming (ie. Zyra over a wall or something), which is very rare.
And your champ automatically attacks minions if you're in a bush, and they have vision of you, which is useful in cases where the minions are already fighting each other, and not gonna go for you, but you aren't sure if the bush is warded. (Tho some champs, like Kha'Zix, don't need this, as he has his Passive to check that, and same with Pyke and his grey health)
Tho I do, no matter what, turn it off when playing Kalista. I don't play her often, whatsoever. But if I do get her on ARAM, or wanna try some bs on Arena, I turn that shit off.
Kalista with auto attack feels AWFUL.
With most champs, the worst that can happen is throwing an auto attack.
With Kalista, it's throwing an auto attack and moving when you didn't intend to, which has gotten me killed before by accident.
I keep it on because it easily tells me if I’m warded in a bush as a ranged champ, for if there is an enemy nearby, I’ll automatically auto them if it’s warded
I think, it might have been changed or I’m remembering something else that causes me to do that
Also in Arena if you charge Warm Up Routine and a plant is near you it'll make you target the plant instead.

i have it off. but having it on does have one advantage- if you are in a brush hiding and your character automatically attacks enemy minion or champion it means they have vision in that brush
Ive mastered to stop command with S key, I have autoattacks on because you will start autoattacking anything in range if the enemy has the brush warded, it will not autoattack by itself if they dont have vision on you. Very useful as an adc to spot out warded lane brushes.
You can tell if a bush is warded if you have auto attack on and stand in a bush.
If you are on vision you will auto attack while inside the bush on the nearest enemy (usually a minion in bot or top lane)
If you are not in vision you will not auto attack anything.
This works best with range champs since the minions or enemies wont get close enough to have this interaction occur on melee ones.

Actually you can avoid these situations.
But having AA on it's very good to spot a warded area.
But it’s also useful for checking vision. When I used to play support, if you’re ranged and hiding in brush and minion wave is near, if you attack, the enemy has vision on you, this scenario seems more common than the tower diving issue though I have encountered that exact thing OP mentions
It's a holdover from WoW and DotA since units automatically attack things in those games if I'm not mistaken
As tank engage support I want this setting on as I’m usually the first on five anyway. also if you don’t have it in your auto pathing gets messed up during chases. some settings are bad to have on but as always it depends. none of those clips change either with AA off, it’s just clearly a bad dive so it’s a fundamental issue more than setting imo

I come from Warcraft. Auto attack instantly tilted the heck out of me, I made sure it's off
I see my friend use A to auto attack as adc , he literally hit the minions instead of champion because some how the A is target minions, or it hit the wrong enemy champs.
I had that too but turned it off myself before that video cause I went through the settings for another reason and saw that setting.
I used to have it off, recently came back to game and couldnt figure out how to turn it off again, its killed me a few times diving a nautilus already

i turned that setting off within my first month of playing, and now i have a separate keybind for "move+attack" which takes the place of auto attack, granted i am a mid/jungle main and not an ADC
Yes I have it enabled since 12 years now, and I will not deactivated it. I had a few moments where this gave me the kill.
And esecially in the jungle, it is really annoying without it.
I am used to have it on, and the small moments where it is a disadventage aren't big enough to make it worth it.

Use attack move for jungle.
Auto attack is extremely useful as jg and adc especially. If you are in an unwarded bush you will not auto anything until you step out, are revealed, or an enemy walks into the bush even with the setting on. Its basically a free sweeper with no cd. It allows jg to know if a bush is warded without needing to go sweeper, and allows adcs to cheese their opponent by autoing in the bush, walking out then immediately back in to prevent retaliation or even minion aggro.
@@Deathnom I know it can. But it is more that I am used to it. And something like the tower dive example happens really rare to me, because I usually don't dive as Sona xD

Exception, if you use wukong and slam the H key you will still auto like your clone would.
Some people keep it on to spam s key and keep their apm high

If you don't understand why auto attacking there was bad its because wave was tanking turret and him attacking nautilus while cc aggro tower which got him to die for it from naut ignite.
If youre gonna get ccd under tower, just auto the tower instead of the champ. Then you wont accidentally get turret aggro.
I turn it ON when I am jungler and OFF on lanes

If you have this enabled in top lane you’ll 100% auto-lose the lane. You can’t mess up the wave there.

it's literally more useful than harmful as long you learn to use your S key. i feel like most ppl assume auto attacking = noob or smt xd
It's a good setting if you disconnect often. You can keep attacking even if you're out of the game!
And even get kills/assists sometimes.
