    Okay I need some advice so if anyone has some quality suggestions they want to throw my way I’d much appreciate it.
    To cut right to the chase, I’ve been trying to lucid dream for 3 months now and I can’t seem to become fully lucid. A majority of my “lucid” dreams are only partially lucid. Like in each dream I have an inclination that I’m dreaming but that’s it. It never develops into full lucidity.
    I’ve made progress in the first month moving from not remembering my dreams at all to remembering multiple dreams a night and being partially lucid in most of them. But I’m the last two months I haven’t made any progress passed that.
    I use WILD, MILD, FILD, and WBTB. I go through reality checks multiple times a day, listen to Matt’s (tihparot’s) Lucid Dreaming Hypnosis videos before bed, and I keep a dream journal that I review before going to sleep every night. But I’ve still made no progress in the level of lucidity I can reach.
    If anyone has some suggestions to help me become fully lucid I’d really appreciate it.

    Kind of taking my own method with this. I've decided I'll work first on remembering my dreams at least almost every night. Once I can do that I'll start working on being able to use specific senses in dreams. Once I get good at that I feel like realizing I'm dreaming will be really easy. So far via affirmations and subliminals I've managed to remember my dreams at least a few times per week which is something that never happens. I had like 4 days in a row I remembered my dreams every night and one night I set a specific goal to be able to reach out and touch something and feel the way it feels with my hand. Keeping in mind I cant usually even see my hands in my dreams. I did it! That same night on my first try. There was this beautiful like lollipop sort of thing that was glowing ripples of blue and purple and I reached out and squished it between my finger and my thumb and it felt like it had a soft wax shell that slowly broke apart. Very satisfying feeling. I think even if I cant lucid dream and all I can do is remember my dreams and maybe have more vivid dreams, this journey will have been worth it.

      Focusing on dream journalling is great for dream recall. The more you dream journal, the more you remember and the clearer the memory too. The more effort and detail you put into your dream journal the better.

    MATT ! I have a question / concern / discovery . I recently started working graveyard and was kinda of down, thinking that would mean all lucid dream testing will end .. I sleep during the day and have yet to experience a lucid dream . HOWEVER ! I take 30 minute naps in my car over night and almost EVERYtime , I will have a dream that I am lucid dreaming , I can’t really control it , but when I wake up I remember that I did in fact know it was a dream . My concern was I keep having false awakenings but I’m going to try to make that a positive . Do you have any tips on lucid dreaming for someone who works graveyard ?
    Thank you for your time !
    - Daniel

    When I realise that I'm dreaming I usually don't even need to do a reality check. There is just something off (vision being blurry, timeline having skips)

    Keep your dream journal next to your bed with pen and write it down even if it's the middle of the night. Biggest help for me was studying and exploring the hypnagogic state. You can start forming what you want to lucid dream. Have fun with it. If you "work" and try to hard it won't come. Ian Wilson channel gets into this and he can lucid dream now pretty much whatever he wants.

    I struggle with the dream journal the most, not because I can’t remember anything, it’s because I remember too much. After a few days of dream journaling, I start remembering so many dreams or having dreams that are so long and complicated that it literally takes me and hour or more to write all the stuff down that I recall. I seem to be the only one with this issue... /:

      You could shorten it and just write general stuff, like just writing who was there, where you were, how vivid it was, and what was going on

    • @thegreateggort1641

      blah and blah indeed I could, I just like to have the super detailed records of a dream, because sometimes if I go back and read an old dream journal entry that isn’t very detailed I don’t even remember having the dream. I know you can’t remember every single dream, but when there’s more details it’s somehow more...satisfying, I don’t know. But sometimes I do try to implement being more general about what happened in the dream. Thanks for the reply :]

    • @goorioles1976
      @goorioles1976 4 года назад +1

      The hard part is the fact that your REM cycle depends on when you fall asleep, and the time it takes to fall asleep varies from night to night, so your alarm might be set right one night but completely off the next. It's frustrating.

    Do you have any tips on getting "burned out" on trying to lucid dream? Several times now I've revisited it and for a few weeks to a month I've been really good at mediation and reality checks but after that I just keep forgetting to do the reality checks and stop meditating. One thing I can do all the time though is a dream journal, I find it very interesting to keep a record of every dream I've had even if it doesn't help too much with the lucidity factor.

      Set an alarm across the room so you have to get up to turn it off. Then stay out of bed for the next 10-30 minutes, and only return to bed when you're ready to attempt to get lucid. :)

    I have a question
    I had a dream and I got lucid but then the side of my vision went black and slowly I lost all vision . I just woke up after in the middle of the night .
    Why did my vision go black .

    • @Tipharot
      @Tipharot  4 года назад +1

      The dream destabilised and you woke up. This can happen for a multitude of reasons. Basically, in REM, where your lucid dreams are occurring, your mind is the closest to being awake that it is all night, that's why you're able to be alert and aware in your dreams. The trouble with being so close to being awake, is that it's VERY easy to wake up, and have dreams destabilise.
      Getting excited is probably the most common culprit. It's natural to think "Awesome! I'm lucid!" but that feeling of excitement can be enough to startle you awake.
      The best solution is to take things slow, and also check out my videos about how to make your lucid dreams last longer: ruclips.net/video/8x6rOMuJvjY/видео.html

      @@Tipharot I remember the first time I realised I was lucid... I wasn't even trying to lucid dream - my mind just checked a poster on a wall. It said one thing, I looked away and it said something completely different. I was in an old school class room and in my excitement, I jumped up screaming "I'm in a dream!". Everyone in the room immediately turned around staring daggers in my eyes, their eyes entirely black. I freaked out and woke up hahaha
      It can be really easy to wake yourself up when you're new to lucid dreaming, I have to agree.
