I agree that hanging the measuring spoons and cups is a great idea! It’s makes them so much more accessible. Except I can’t open my cupboard door too quickly otherwise they bang around everywhere. 😣🤷🏻♀️

After seeing your pantry video a while ago I bought those bins! I love how easy it is to pull out a bin with all my baking stuff and bake, or pull out a bin with all the pancake stuff and make pancakes. It's amazing! I did buy clear bins for the kids so they can grab snacks themselves but I LOVE the bin method!

I can't imagine not making curry. It is so easy. But it makes sense to not hold on to spices you don't use.
It also makes me think of how so many people love their InstaPots because they find the pot easy and quick. Whereas I found using one annoying and cumbersome. I love how different people can be.
My daughter asked me if I was trying to become a minimalist since I had been doing so much decluttering. I told her I was becoming a ‘simplerist’. 😄

Absolutely pls share a week of simple meals - my kids are not picky at all but I have decisions fatigue so figuring out what to make is the issue - I don’t want to ask them b/c I think that would jus open a can of warms (requests lasagna or something like that that’s labor intensive)

If you like to use Mason jars, you can reuse the lids from peanut butter jars on Mason jars. Then you don't have to use the metal lids unless you're canning food.

I love mason jars! I grow a large garden every year and so I can a lot of vegetables and fruit. But mason jars work great for things in the freezer and dry food storage as well as left overs too. But I also save glass peanut butter jars sometimes too(not all the time because they can add up to excess) and they are the perfect size to put soup in the freezer. And then I thaw and I have an easy lunch from leftovers!😉

I love to cook for my family,and learned how to be a better cook during the lockdown in 2020 .I even found that cooking takes a lot of my anxiety away .I have spices like 25 .I'm sure some I won't ever use , good organization tip .

I'm in early stages of decluttering, which is going well although slowly due to health & I haven't got to the kitchen yet.
One thing you said caught my attention - I have dozens of recipe books 📚 Now... I was over 60 when it was discovered that I'm allergic to most grains! Light bulb moment💡 Why keep these books as they're NO USE to me 🤣🤣🤣 I've adapted the few beloved recipes where possible, but have a very minimal set of meals b/c I can't be bothered to spend precious energy on long preparation. That energy is put to far better use in enjoying gardening and decluttering 😁 Lv and blessings mxxx

Mason jars are perfect for Overnight oats, water jars for paint brushes, toothbrush holders, and they seal nicely for keeping baking soda after opening a box.

I have very little on my countertops- going fir the Joshua Becker look. Toaster and small kitchen appliances are in cabinets. It’s so easy to clean and always looks nice!

I never use cookbooks at all period .an have only a few odd recipes on cards . But mostly , I almost always cook totally from scratch out of my brain . And my family an friends an quite a few strangers new acquaintances have all said I’m a very good cook . An most times most of what I cook gets all eaten unless I cook enough for five armies ! So that simplifies things for me not to have books or even a lot of cards .

I just started using mason jars for leftovers and they are perfect. I was able to get rid of nearly all my regular glass food storage containers and only kept 6 because the jars are more multi purpose.

I’ve really been getting into the whole Mason jar thing lately. One thing I did (Bcuz I have the need so often) was take the one flat insert lid off and ripped up the Kleenex hand towels and so I have a cute and handy mini napkin holder thing (for me it’s for the bit I need for wiping my coffee pot and for spoons/wet tea bags and whatever other little messes my cats make lol).
Gointto use the tea in bags 🥰. I use old pickle jars and use instead of plastic
One of your best videos so far… They’re all great but I found this one very motivational. I can also just search some of my cabinets and get back on track. I do have mainly white bakeware and dishes. MASON JARS…we use them as cups…tons and tons of uses…no need for used …Walmart a case of 12 for $8. 😳🤩

My pasta comes in mason jars. So I recycle the jars for use for preserving and storage of dry ingredients like baking supplies. I just buy new lids but I would need to rebuy those anyways.

I use mason jars to store chopped onions in my fridge. They stay fresh for up to a week, and your fridge doesn’t smell like onions!

Be careful storing batteries jumbled together. If they touch in a certain way they can complete a circuit and start a fire. Your friend person who stored them in a cannister hopefully left them in their original packaging.

What is your clutter bug style if you don't mind my asking? I'm trying to picture everything in my kitchen hidden, and I would be so lost. If it isn't visible, I might as well not own it. Definitely agree on the restricted shopping, but I'm every 2 weeks...

I do not understand what you would do if you wanted to do a dinner I have china from when we got married 46 years ago CRYSTAL also I own 2 sets Christmas dishes (stonewear & china) which are dear to our kids Grown & gone I am moving soon & we are downsizing but many of these items were gifted to us Many of whom have passed
