I was struggling to push out a particularly hard turd when the conversation about Martys crack started. The sheer pressure of trying not to burst out laughing while sitting on the bog legitimately helped. I wouldn't be where I am today without this. Thank you.
I don’t think the influx of Chinese cars changed my perception of Hyundai and Kia. It was when Hyundai started producing N cars and participating in WRC that I took notice. I started noticing Kia when they started making cars that looked good! This is irrespective of any other car brands. My point is you don’t need something worse to come along to acknowledge a car brand has improved over the years.
Kia really turned a corner when they released the Stinger. It is a straight up muscle car, built for enthusiasts. Then they brought out the Cerato GT, that is a very high specced hot hatch, for a great price. Having said that, I do prefer they Hyundai IONIQ5 over the Kia EV6.
@@flubba86 I was unimpressed by the stinger irl, quality and performance wise. Guess that's up to personal preference. But the kona and Elantra N are exceptional.

Hydroplants generate electricity during winter as well guys.. 😅 There will be enough water in the magazine, and as you know when bodies of water freeze it's only the surface. 👍
I never paid any attention to Hyundai/Kia until I owned one, and it wasn’t something I would have chosen. It just showed up, and worked. I work at a scrap yard and someone brought their 09’ Elantra touring/I30 in for scrap. At 146500kms. No lights on the dash, regular maintenance issues and a leaky oil pan. Has the Beta 2 with the 5 speed. For only having 140hp it’s quite the peppy little hatchback. Managed to buy it for under $2000. Had to fix the electric power steering, but only cost me $40 and half a day of work.
Can't believe Roger Cordia got a feature. Moved interstate looking for a challenge after dominating the Great Western Hwy in the early 00's. Roger lives on calling himself Adrian.
The tesla truck looks interesting, its abit short ranged though being 500miles, i think it depends on recharge times. If it can be recharged in a sleep break, it could do well. The big problem then will be america imports electricity, about 16% per year, so to power the trucks they will need to import more. Even europe will struggle, uk has a 105% capacity in power, but we are looking at powercuts this winter regardless.
Viewer #39. To the Marty's Crack thing, the full name is Marty's Cracklings and it's a crunchy pork rind snack substitute, meaning it uses veggies in place of actual pork rind. It's very savory and has a light vinegary taste but very good. Would recommend.

Yeah those candies are so good! It's weird how easy it is to find them in the USA. You have to go to the international foods section but they're weirdly common. And yeah you can eat the inner wrapper, that's the fun part.
I passed on a conquest (starion). It was around 600-800 for a fuel injector. Two were half the price of the whole car. Another plus for Honda. You can find parts everywhere.
The other day I saw a chopped sticker on another car. MAD! only problem is since I put mine on I keep getting speeding fines. It might have given me an extra 200HP! Anyway I bought some other stickers whilst I was on the website for my daughters. Rainbow 🌈 unicorns and stuff and I realised that I had bought four chopped stickers and I only have one car. I told my daughter what it was about and she said yes, please I love that sticker! I also traded one sticker for a cat!
Currently employed as a pre delivery tech n working with byds personally I cant see the company doing very well however they ate moving quantities here in aus based on prices being quite low in comparison to the rest of manufacturers also havmt seen a seal yet but the atto3 is here by the bucket load as the only all electric vehicle in the country available under 50k
Just procured a BYD EV, build quality is excellent, range is excellent, price is excellent, features are mad and the torque delivery on cheap Chinese tyres is hilarious. Just waiting for my chopped fingers to start the mods
The Tesla truck can only take 2 thirds of the product to the destination. That is the weight of the battery is around 5 tonnes plus the weight of the truck itself ( Tare weight ) takes up more of the full load weight ( Gross weight ) and being under the aloud ( or equal, not over ) gross weight ( that size truck I think is about 37 tonnes )
The thing is about the fake manual gearboxes... Even if it sounds real and feels real (doubt it), you know it's not real, so it will just feel like a waste of time. It has to actually be necessary in order to be fun.
Re: the fake programming stuff ( manual behind electric) Dad used to have a Ford wagon with a CVT.. Ford programmed in "Shift points" because "people liked the feel better"

I would never have considered an Hyundai back in the day… but car shopping for mum looked at the i30 (2020 model) and it’s a great little car. Same level as a Toyota Corolla (ok we’ll see in 10 years time lol) - but I ended up getting a 2010 i30 turbo diesel for a daily and it’s pretty good too. Hyundai have come a long way.
Being one of the 38 that watch you started talking about the book pause bought the book back to the show. I'll be watching the movie on the 25th Christmas can wait while I get important things out of the way like watching the movie.

there are no chinese cars in europe yet... but Kia's been offering 10 year warranty on theirs for years. So... yeah nah yeah, it's really quality that's winning people over.

I think it's a combination. But yea the Elantra N completely changed the way I think of Hyundai.
They are the Mazda of South Korea, with the N being like GR from Toyota

Botan rice candy - the inner wrapper melts in your mouth. I think it's also a rice product.
The inside wrapper on the rice candy is rice paper. You are supposed to leave it on and eat it with the candy inside. It will melt.
