It doesn’t make sense to take out the air from the housing why? if you take it off you can see the inside of the hosting is like you never pump de air out? can somebody splain?
After pumping and pumping and pumping to try to get a vacuum, I purchased a $70 small vacuum pump. It pulls the vacuum and turns the light green in about 30 seconds. A bit bulky but I pulled a vacuum and the green light stayed on for four days. It looks like you could probably do multiply dives without having to pull a new vacuum. You would want to have remote photo download though.
Kurt, May I know if you diving with the Vacuum Pump system on your housing? at Seafrogs website, it said that it just for pre checking, not able to diving with this system.
@@ianhavingfun There is a small piece that attaches to the housing. That stays on the case whether on a dive or not. When you pump the air out, the red blinking light turns to green blinking. You leave that device on during the dive. If, during the dive, the light starts blinking red it means that the case is leaking and you need to surface as soon as possible. The kit had adapters so it can be used for several cases. So yes, the indicator piece stays on the case all of the time and this piece monitors the vacuum and therefore the integrity of the case through the entire dive.

Hello, I just got my VPS-100 and tried it. After pumping the lights turn green, but after around 15 minutes it again changes to red. So I guess there is a air leakage at my brand new Saltedline Series 6XXX right? Already cleaned all O-Rings. Any recommendations? Thanks a lot!
I thinks so, becuase the housing is in Vacuum, so there is no air/ a little Air in it I didn't test it out, just my personal ponit of view, I may check with Sea Frogs Team and reply soon After I get the answer
Doesn't removing the valve(at the end) also destroy the vacuum?
