    For flat hitters, i think prostaff is the best. However, as a flat hitter, if i could, i think i would prefer to have a string that has lots of spin potential. And i think the best way to determine if you are a flat/top hitter is your ball trajectory and how the ball bounces.

    Love your videos…watch them all..your advice needed. I have RF V13 Autograph..please suggest best strings..Age 43…considering arm comfort and of course not to comprise power…
    Keep up the good job..

    Thank you for all the advice. my two cents, having played for almost 40 years. At my best I was a 5.5 and a flat hitter. I would like to suggest that flat hitters like heavy racquets. However, they must be very head light. We/ I do not like heavy racquets that are balanced or barely headlight.

    I hit flat and play my best with a Head MicroGel Radical MidPlus. It's plush with great balance, spin and comfort. I was shocked with the amount of spin I get with it - and my groundies are flat! It's easy on the arm too. This was one of Harry's best videos. The title needs to be "fixed" because it's about racquets and not strings. I also find the Artengo TR 500 in the 102 head size to be excellent for flat strokes and it's a bargain at only $89! One overlooked item: Do flat hitters like larger grip sizes? I would answer "yes" because of the enhanced stability (less torque) from the larger grip size.

    Good Job! Ezone98 more powerful or more control than the VCorePro100 ?

  • @fij7963
    @fij7963 2 года назад

    Insightful video, great job! In talking about the Wilson Profile racket, he says - "We continental grip this sucker like it's wood" So true, I'm in Harry's age group I believe & from time to time, on off shots, I still rely on continental grip. I hit flat (idolizing Pete Sampras & Michael Stich) & use the regular Wilson Profile (non-RF version, what Harry has in the video) which has a special string gap design pattern at the sweet spot to make it a bit more dense (resembling a close pattern) & in comparing/using the previous version of the same racquet, I can tell the difference as far as control/lenght of time ball stays with string.

    Basically flat hitting needs control more than everything. Round poly is an easy choice, or gut w poly or strength multi. Everything works

    Could anyone help me with racket choice.
    I’m a pretty flat hitting aggressive player that will try cause problems from baseline before finishing point at the net. I have a powerful serve with a bit of spin, and a pretty flat two handed backhand.
    I’ve seen a lot of good things about the Ezone 98/100
    And the Babolat Pure Drive/Aero.
    Which would you recommend, or maybe others I haven’t listed.
    Thanks for the help 😁

    Great video but it is about rackets not strings

  • @ralphe.thompson5010
    @ralphe.thompson5010 2 года назад

    thats me likely. i got some cheap graphene xt head instincts (16 x 19) for this at 4.5 grip size.. now my hands are huge...basketball palming huge. so i added 5 layers of heat shrink to the handle and only use one layer of tournagrip xxl for the grip to keep some bevel. now the rackets weigh almost 15 ounces but are really headlight. as i am a rather flat hitter, as mentioned in the video, i use a 15l (1.38mm) mult-syn gut combo for extra head weight and at rather high tension because poly doesn't offer me much except harshness when hitting flat. it works well. there are many combos out there for non-conventional hitters. takes a while for some.

      I think you can make and 3D print a custom pallet and buttcap for your racket to make it like L6 or L7 size while keeping the weight down. Like UnstrungCustoms do or used to do
