Interestingly, the story of Ebondeath gets covered in "Sleeping Dragon's Wake" in the DNDBeyond series following the Essentials Kit story, "Dragon of Icespire Peak" (a story that takes place in Phandalin, just like the Start Set and Lost Mine of Phandelver). It takes characters on an adventure to inspect Leilon and takes them through a story that involves the Cult of Myrkul, who seek to raise Ebondeath from his slumber. So anyone seeking to further incorporate this might even be interested in combining some aspects of that adventure.

Very interesting story. It's so cool how deep are your villians and how you tangle all books to one story. Great job!

This is easily the best video you have made in my opinion.

Thank you, THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH! You help a very inexperienced DM ( i hope to be better in the future) to successfully run this campaign and my group wants to delve into RoT! You rock!

Whoaaaa. So much information, this blew my mind. It’s almost too much for me to comprehend! But it is inspiring for sure, and the dragon(s) are not well used in the book as written. Thanks!

@@LutesDice Thanks! I am excited to torment my players at first before the dragons ask for their help. I have enjoyed HotDQ so far, but have only used it as a loose plot line to follow, it needs serious adjustments to be played but has such a great story in there... Great video, it really helped me get in the mindset of these dragons that deserve their own story!

So would you recommend a sprawling underground dungeon full of undead guarding the second crown? My players have the lizardfolk fully on board and Castle Naerytar is looking like it's going to be a decent sized skirmish, I was thinking I could use the party's victory to make the twin dragons think that they might be strong enough to find it and offer a deal of some sort.

      Hello 😊
Well, I don't know if I can recommend something like that. Do you want to do it? Do you think your players would enjoy it? Are you okay with making the campaign longer?
If yes, then you should go for it. I know I would, because to me it sounds super fun. ☺️
Thanks for your comment, and have a wonderful day 🥰

What the hell is all of this? Me and my friends completed the castle naerythar episode yesterday. We didn't even interact wiht the twin dragons we where to scared to go there so the DM had them fly away. we killed the whole dungeon downstairs and just now teleported to the mountains (where we fucked up to bad to infiltrate so i charged in and now lost an arm....)

Ah, man, I’ve read all the info on wiki and I still can’t figure out how to weave the dragons into the story. Your suggestions are great but for a different campaign altogether. The dragons just don’t fit into the pursue for Rezemir and her treasure.
I also don’t know how to interestingly use the fact that there are two twin dragons, but everyone (except Rezemir) think there is only one. Like, it sounds cool and all, but when you think about it, adventurers will either never learn about the twin, rendering it pointless, or will encounter the second one and will go: “Or, there’s a second dragon... okay I guess”.
Makes me think authors left out the dragons on purpose.
