Try2 1) Use a device to record which lets you turn down the recording level. And then do a test getting as loud as you think you are going to. If it ends up sounding off when you play it back turn the level down further. 2) Get more audio sources. In my reply I am wearing a microphone unfortunately my seperate recorder broke recently otherwise my audio would have been better. If you can't record the audio like that then you can re-record but that is harder and takes more voice acting practice.
I know I mumble. My voice is rather nasal and the microphone on my video has the opposite problem to the video I am commenting on. My recording level is too low so I am hard to hear while they were too loud for their microphones to catch the full range.
