Wow....That's amazing how long it kept a flame for...13.5 strong burn and to 17 mins is just what every outdoor person needs...Hope to see a few more vids from you bro...I thought you gave up for a minute...Hope all is well...Gonzo...
Wow that worked great and burnt down to the ultimate ember. I'm inspired to make a carton of these to try but I'm going to try fatwood shavings/dust and put some on top to light with a ferro rod. Thank you for sharing.
My thought was to submerge a cotton ball (half way) on top before the wax sets, for an easy way to light with a ferro rod. Thank you for your comments, have fun with it.
That burns really good...and it relies on some wax and a little bit of prep time...folks it pays to spend some time prepping because you never know...that Hurricane that knocks out your power out...well it's good to have this knowledge and skills...keep on practicing! I bet that you can actually boil a 16 oz cup of water or at least a single cup of water with that Firestarter easily...and that in itself is worth a good bit of knowledge...
I use this trick all the time something that will help it go up faster is using dryer lint and mixing it in with the wax. I got a 16 1/2 minute burn time out of mine.

If no sawdust, use clothes dryer lint.
