There's this guy on youtube, Ikevin is his name, if I'm not mistaken, he does these videos where he puts the moves from DBFZ side by side with a picture of where they came from, it's pretty amazing.
I was fucking stoked when I saw the Kiai as the end of his auto combo. Ginyu Force was my favorite side-arc of the namek saga so watching him do that was just nostalgic as fuck.
Yeah, when he shoots the two beams up and then blindsides them with that divekick is from the Frieza fight when he's underwater. It's top-notch attention to detail.
That was such a silly thing to say. Goku was always a technical fighter during DB and DBZ. Did you see how he fought Nappa and the Genyu Force? He wasn't just an over powering force. We was evasive, had a lot of feints and went for the shots that hurt.
Goku still is creative but the opponents he fights are so OP most of these techniques are useless. Like what here is unique to what he does in the show now?
I think Goku's creativity comes out when he's outmatched by an opponent, which doesn't happen often nowadays. One instance that I can point to after he became a super saiyan (god, even!), was during the tournament of power, when he was fighting Jiren and he used his energy to create ki mines, as well as drawing Jiren to the edge of the arena so that he could attempt to eliminate him by destroying the ground under him. There was also that time when he used his charged Kamehameha to grind midair on a ki blast by Kefla, so that he could go all the way up to her and blast her up close with the attack. Before all of that happened, the assassin Hit stopped Goku's heart with one of his attacks, Goku couldn't prevent that, so he threw an orb of ki upwards as he was dying, so that it would fall on top of him moments later and give his heart a jolt. So yeah, he's still creative sometimes, you just need to put him in a match with someone he can't beat.
I like to call this one "Desperate Goku", because that's like the only time we ever see him fight in this form. Super Saiyan Goku is "Serious Goku", because he is very practical and straightforward, and SSB Goku is "Goku Goofing Around", because that's kinda what that version does in this game.
For comboing into Spirit Bomb, my personal favorite assistant is Yamcha. If the Spirit Ball is used to knock them high into the air, if works perfectly on DHC. Something about it feels thematically appropriate as well. The two old friends from a long past time(34 years ago, 1984) teaming up to beat an enemy that likely far outclasses them in terms of canon power. Y'know, back when Dragon Ball was a martial arts comedy that focused more of techniques than raw power.
ubadman1 it not as ridiculous as lvl 3 x-factor, but lvl 3 sparking, kaioken x20 is atleast a good 50% of your health gone and if it's a happy birthday, then the support takes around 65-70℅ damage from it.
I kept seeing ppl for months saying Goku and Vegeta would be wasted slots but this isn't Bandai. This is ArcSys. They will make every version different and unique. Watching both of Max's breakdowns prove that. I think they are worth their place in the roster.
two things not mentioned in this video, Base goku indeed does have the kamehameha like SS goku, can aim it upwards and horizontally on the ground AND can aim it downward and horizontally in the air. However his kamehameha comes out slower somewhat like yamchas, does less damage than SS goku, and only hits once instead of multiple times like other beams so use it with caution. Second is with his assist, at tthe time of this video base goku's assist SCALES LIKE A HEAVY ATTACK! meaning it will not bring down the damage of your combo as much as other assists would.
Not sure if he mentioned this or not but, If you do the full auto-combo in the corner, you can get a slight wall bounce which you can combo into another auto. Idk if it can combo into something else.
If you throw a raw lvl. 3, the opponent can run under the spirit bomb and super jump up to you and hit you with and aerial combo, a vanish, a lvl. 1, or a level 3 (depending on their lvl. 1's and 3's ofc) and some characters (like basegeta) don't even need to jump to hit you. He can just run right under you and hit you with a raw lvl. 3.
Goku's Kaioken has an effect called "staling" or "stale-ing" (keyword here is stale) which means if you do the same attack the whole super, like spamming lights, the damage will decrease throughout the combo.
He can combo from his auto combo, mid-screen (and I think in the corner too) into an EX back throw but he doesn't automatically do his tele dive kick thing so if you want to combo any further than that you have to use 2 bars, one for the EX version of back throw and one for a vanish but I don't think you can get much more off of it. I think you can get spirit bomb into a lvl 3. spirit bomb off of this but it's 5 bars for around 60% (I think)
O my god I love the references from anime in this game, this smash movement from goku was used against the toksentay in namek, also the ki blast coming from the floor followed by the smash upwards was used against freeza! Amazing,
it's funny how all these people that were complaining about base goku being a DLC, are the same people who are now impressed by how technical he is....Base Goku is mad fun though make me happy to play as him
Timmy ThaTitan Lol that doesn't matter though, sure he is well thought out and very technical but it's still Goku which we have 2 other versions of plus the other one who shares a body with Vegeta.
Jadin I'm a simple fighting game fan. I couldn't care less if it was a game where all characters are the same test dummy in different outfits. As long as each character has unique playstyles and the gameplay is great then I don't really have complaints lol
lol Xenoverse has multiple versions of the same characters and no one complains what makes this DBFZ different beside real fighting game mechanics, I'm just saying
Timmy ThaTitan That's pretty funny when you mention Xenoverse since there have been complaints about too many Gokus and a lot of of the characters sharing meteor crash or some shit like Full power energy blast. @Deth, lol I wouldn't go that far but I wouldn't mind a good variation or two but with the way Arc Systems handled this DLC I really don't have a problem with Base Goku & Vegeta.
I just noticed something about his air combo. I could be wrong about this, but the animations are very similar to those of his air combo in Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure. Yes, original Dragon Ball where he's a kid. The one notable difference is that in that game, the final hit to send the opponent back down he did with one hand. This probably just means that both games took inspiration from the original Dragon Ball source material, but it's cool to think that he's using the same techniques from when he was young.
Yeah, I like how the games kind of imply that these characters really do have a set of martial arts style that they have either developed or that they follow. Sometimes in Dragon Ball fights just turn into a mess of looping animation (which can look cool), so it's nice to see recognizable moves here and there, gives the characters a sense of personality.
If you whif on the first two hits of the light auto combo and hit only the heavy part where he sends them flying then do quarter circle back ki blast level 3 spirit bomb then level 3 meter spirit bomb you do insane damage on sparking it does 99% damage
1:26 You're incorrect about this mechanic. Everyones autocombo (except characters who dont get a sliding knockdown in the air meterless (21, piccolo midscreen, etc) have this property. I'm not sure if you never noticed it, but you do get 2 smashes as LONG as you started with an auto combo smash.
Plus, Idk if he noted it in the vid, but you can get a slight wall bounce that can lead into another auto combo in the corner if you just do the ENTIRE auto combo. No extra hits, just LLL LLLL.
I know people are sick of Goku but I would like to see Kid Goku since he'd be the most different Goku in the game with using the power pole in some of his attacks, Rock, Scissors, Paper as a level 1 and Fist of Ozaroo (the move he used to kill King Picollo) as a level 3. Plus we'd have OG Dragon Ball representation in this game.
The move where he launches the ki and then vanish to the down double foot kick is from the Frieza saga. Where he is under water, send the ki up and kicks freeza from above. I love that they included that. I love the little details from the series. Even the push away smash is from he did the “goku time” against berter and jace..is an awesome addition. Love the level 1 spirit bomb from when he hit turles..so awesome ...I like base goku..can be very technical
Reiburster this is both Saiyan/namek saga goku mixed into one. He has moves that came from when he fought nappa and his secret finisher against vegeta is literally when they fought in the saiyan saga
Damn those corner loops with the auto combo. Beautiful. Also if you let the auto combo play out without additional inputs it causes a wallbounce low enough for you to get a low medium off and relaunch. You can also Kamehameha or spirit bomb at the end of your ground light auto combo to get a kaio ken or super spirit bomb off respectively, been netting some serious damage with it.
I might have missed it in the video, but Base Goku's Kamehameha can in be input down-forward down to change the direction of the beam as well. so on the ground it aims up and in the air it aims down. Super handy for getting a cheap beam in if you know somebody's gonna jump. Great video! I'm still trying to figure out the corner cancel with his light auto combo
Yo Max, didn’t see you mention a couple things about Kaioken. There are also Down options for the non-heavy attacks, with 2L being an overhead, 2M being a low, and 2S being an upward-angled Blast. On top of that, Kaioken will reduce the damage if you repeat inputs, so optimal damage requires as many unique attacks as you can do.
Super Spirit Bomb is also incredibly easy to combo into most Beerus combos (dhc), since Beerus level 1 super holds the opponent in place for an ungodly amount of time and then launches them upwards. But you know.. you'd have to play Beerus to do that...
Man goku really should have stayed like this for a good chunk of Z. The way he fight looks much more interesting and mucj more varied. Super saiyan should have appeared halfway through the series.
I like the Cell/Androids saga, it was fun and suspenseful, it also introduced some really cool characters that are very popular even now, but it was also a step backwards in some ways for Dragon Ball. Super saiyan became a trivial thing, the show contradicted its previous theme of "power levels don't matter" by making the super saiyans the only relevant fighters, and even the end of the arc had this weird confused concept of how the characters could get stronger. Vegeta and Trunks trained to become super buff guys, that didn't work, meanwhile Goku and Gohan trained to stay in their super saiyan form for a longer duration, to basically turn it into their "base form" (again, trivializing super saiyan, but that's besides the point), to tame the anger and tap into the power with a calm mind... but then Gohan's final power up is entirely based on him getting angry and going super saiyan while he's already a super saiyan, it's kinda weird and goes against what he learned in his training with Goku, but oh well, it was presented well and was very emotional, so it worked, I guess... still, that arc was badly planned, even if it was pretty good. Let's not even talk about what went wrong with the Buu arc, we'll be here all night.
ubadman1 nah this was headcannon, toriyama had no intention of ending DBZ at frieza saga, just one of those things that people passed around and believe eventually believed to be true, but wasn't
About the point where Max said you cant vanish a raw Super Spirit Bomb, it actually is possible to punish with a vanish if you time it properly (i.e when the ball is adjacent to or below Goku's body), but its mostly ideal if Goku is at low health, since you are knocking him down along with the enourmous Spirit Ball so there isnt much room for follow-up
What's interesting is how much he seems like a Rush down character. I could definitely see his use in a Team of Yamcha, Base Goku, and Hit. Yamcha for the full Rush, Hit for the stall damage and speed of getting around the opponent, and base form Goku for the Burst damage and lock out. Interesting stuff here.
Yamcha's Spirit Ball (not to be confused with the Spirit Bomb, haha) can even be used to launch people into the Spirit Bomb, if you do a bunch of upwards hits.
Base Vegeta looks like he’s going to be objectively better with his more utility based fireballs, that diving knee thing, and his level 3. But Base Goku is going to be one of those characters that is so fun to watch because Kaioken is flashy as hell, and Super Spirit Bomb combos
I don't want MUI Goku tbh. I'd much much rather have SSJ4 Goku. Idk, it's kinda like having Goku in Smash. It seems kinda hype and really cool on paper but I don't really want him in-game. Not that I feel like they wouldn't do a good job with him, I just feel like he doesn't fit. But a spirit bomb final smash in smash would be cool.
Thanks for doing this video. I've been trying to use base Goku, but I wasn't getting anywhere with him. I watched this video, and I learned some cool things.
You can also vanish on super spirit bomb, you have to time it once the spirit bomb gets close to the bottom of the screen. Once you vanish though don’t land where the spirit bomb land or it will still hit you.
When Goku does a lvl 3 and you are on the ground, you can actually just dash to the other side of the screen and then Dragon Dash up to him for a free combo
For the kaioken lvl 1 it looks the optimal path in combo is Regular kaioken (no allies dead): standing ki blast, standing light, down ki blast into kaioken finish Kaioken times 3: stand ki blast, stand light, stand ki blast, stand medium, down ki blast, kaioken finish kamehameha Kaioken 20x: stand ki blast, stand light, stand ki blast, stand medium, down medium, down light, down ki blast, kaioken finish 20x kamehameha
Great vid max, i found an easier way to deal with LVL 3 abit of a mental cue, as soon as you see goku put his hands down then at that moment it is vanish safe and if you time it right you can negate the whole spirt bomb animation. Also if you ARE playing goku everytime you see someone super dash thats a free raw lvl 3 + massive damage because of the auto tracker. (Can't be done right in the face the super dash will just cancel itself)
Pro tip: You can combo into the small Spirit ball from Goku's auto attack(just activate it after the smash). So you if you get all 3 charges it becomes SUPER easy to land the Spirit bomb.
Good stuff on the breakdown as always Max, but I really feel like Base Goku is going to be one of the weaker characters on the roster, probably right down there with Krillin unless someone discovers some crazy way to play the neutral game with him. Good luck with the online matches with him, I think you're gonna need it.
You can vanish on the spirit bomb if you time it right I've done it multiple times. Wait about 3 secs for the ball to start moving then vanish. You won't get hit. Easier then trying to reflect.
Max you get a smash after the auto combo because auto combos are considered the same as vertical launchers. So hitting H in the air after an auto combo with always give you the smash.
You absolutely can vanish the super spirit bomb if you wait, if you do it immediately you'll get hit bit if you wait as soon as it has just moved passed Goku and you can vanish attack them np, don't even need good timing
Thank you Max you have shown me how to play my favorite characters I'm this game to play zamasu ss Goku base Goku Goku black and my underdog krillin thank you and keep up the good work!
0:00 - What in the hell XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXD 1:28 - Did you say SMAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH?!!! (Serious where did that halabaloo even come from in the first place?)
It woud have been coolerrrrr if they had done kid goku, with his staff and everything :) by the way Max bring back FIGHTING HISTORY! I love those, it has such a nice nostalgia feeling and it's fun as ffff
I fought this one dude who had only base Goku left and as a last ditch effort he chucked out a raw Spirit Bomb at me. I had no clue what to do since it was lterally the whole screen, so I vanished. Blew my character away completely looool. Lesson learned
Max you're really good at doing combos. I'm not that good at pulling of these extended combos. I'm liking what I see from Goku black hair so far. I think it would been so much better if they just added transformations for these characters instead of adding all of these extra characters of the same type.
They could've made his grab better, instead of it being a close grab, they could've made it where he jumps forward, grabs his opponent, throws him upwards with a spin around fling into the dive kick instead of a backwards throw into the dive kick
Dude I just can’t get the corner loops down. I do the first 3 hits of the auto and mash down L to start the next but it just doesn’t work the training dummy always just techs and I miss
The only reason I could see Goku as an anchor (and is why I originally chose him as my anchor) is because of his Kaioken but it doesn't seem worth it enough to me. Especially against characters that can pressure well. I use him in second now for his assist and to combo into spirit bomb if I need/want some big damage.
I love that you can tell what moment in the manga they got the combos animations from, so many references it's insane
Who would have thought that base goku would be so technical
Anybody who watched Dragon Ball.
people are really hung up on SSj4
No more goku and vegeta we have enough
If there's gonna be a Gogeta then at least make him SSJ4 Gogeta.
That was such a silly thing to say. Goku was always a technical fighter during DB and DBZ. Did you see how he fought Nappa and the Genyu Force? He wasn't just an over powering force. We was evasive, had a lot of feints and went for the shots that hurt.
This just goes to show how creative goku was before he got super saiyan
Pheron Ford I mean Goku in freezer arc can read fucking minds but the he got SSJ and get really dumb and boring
Goku still is creative but the opponents he fights are so OP most of these techniques are useless. Like what here is unique to what he does in the show now?
He was creative in the universe tournament arc tf u talking about
Yeah everything is all about power level. So it's a fight against weight lifters. Not jui-jitsu matches.
Base Goku does what Goku always does in the series: dealing with desperate situations nobody else can handle
I like to call this one "Desperate Goku", because that's like the only time we ever see him fight in this form. Super Saiyan Goku is "Serious Goku", because he is very practical and straightforward, and SSB Goku is "Goku Goofing Around", because that's kinda what that version does in this game.

Y'know, back when Dragon Ball was a martial arts comedy that focused more of techniques than raw power.
Base form Goku's Kaioken brings back my dreams (mostly nightmares) of level 3 X-Factor in UMvC3
not even close to as strong.
Oh the horror
ubadman1 it not as ridiculous as lvl 3 x-factor, but lvl 3 sparking, kaioken x20 is atleast a good 50% of your health gone and if it's a happy birthday, then the support takes around 65-70℅ damage from it.
Random Dandelion i love landing Happy Birthdays, so something like that should prove quite interesting. Lol
Imagine if they gave him Kaioken X100
I kept seeing ppl for months saying Goku and Vegeta would be wasted slots but this isn't Bandai. This is ArcSys. They will make every version different and unique. Watching both of Max's breakdowns prove that. I think they are worth their place in the roster.
But this is also Bandai tho.
@@KitsCloud indeed but ArcSys is also involved they did a great job
@@RasenRendanX Mhm I love them!

I predict that base goku will be used heavily in the anchor slot because of how his kaioken works and his ability to burn bar, much like Tien.
That Spirit Bomb is gonna create some ridiculously hype moments at Evo next year.
O my god I love the references from anime in this game, this smash movement from goku was used against the toksentay in namek, also the ki blast coming from the floor followed by the smash upwards was used against freeza! Amazing,

Kaioken looks better on Base Goku than SSB.
I agree
I respectfully disagree, goku blue still has the best super in the game (with 21 air level 3 dangerously close).
Ssb is trash just like DB super. Pure trash.
LPjunemark How?
slifer875 Nah Bardock.
If you whif on the first two hits of the light auto combo and hit only the heavy part where he sends them flying then do quarter circle back ki blast level 3 spirit bomb then level 3 meter spirit bomb you do insane damage on sparking it does 99% damage
Jonathan Warframe without a combo?
If that's without a combo that's pretty damn insane
imagine if Max did an Assist me series on this, Assist Me! Featuring Goku, Blue Goku, Goku Black, Base Goku
MegaJoJo lmao
Bardock, Zamasu (1/2 Black), Vegito etc etc lol
Yoooooo up vote
Gohan (1/2 Goku) Gotenks (1/4 Goku)
I love how Base Goku showcases how technical and strategic Goku can be.
Seath yea I was wondering why he thought light autocombo didn't give a smash after 3rd hit and last hit of the air combo
Plus, Idk if he noted it in the vid, but you can get a slight wall bounce that can lead into another auto combo in the corner if you just do the ENTIRE auto combo. No extra hits, just LLL LLLL.
I know people are sick of Goku but I would like to see Kid Goku since he'd be the most different Goku in the game with using the power pole in some of his attacks, Rock, Scissors, Paper as a level 1 and Fist of
Ozaroo (the move he used to kill King Picollo) as a level 3. Plus we'd have OG Dragon Ball representation in this game.
StaticShock42 As long as he’s unique & has DIFFERENT NORMALS I’m down.
NixUniverse Oh he'd definitely have different normals since he's the height of Gotenks.
Then the game will be called goku fighterz
Nah stop lmao
We need jiren

Base Goku has the best voice over of all the Gokoos, imo.
I'm insane from Earth.
He means saiyan
I know this isn't new at all, but I love the attention to sound FX in this game. That "rapid moving whistle" sound during Kaioken is just so nostalgic
Technically, Base Goku IS regular Goku.
Great video.
Charles Lee more specifically Saiyan saga Goku
Retrozaid
*Namek Saga
Goku time!
Mainly a mix of Saiyan and Namek saga Goku
Reiburster this is both Saiyan/namek saga goku mixed into one. He has moves that came from when he fought nappa and his secret finisher against vegeta is literally when they fought in the saiyan saga
My favourite Goku by far. I love Kayoken, coolest transformation/power up in the entire series.
I love it too. I like that it has trade offs. Sure you get faster and stronger but you cant maintain it and it can kill you.
André Vila Franca kaioken* technique*
Damn those corner loops with the auto combo. Beautiful.
Please add child goku, teenage goku, and grandpa goku
wacktastic1 are you stupid there’s enough gokus
Joseph there's never enough!
Joseph I wouldn’t be throwing the word stupid around if you couldn’t tell that was a joke
We need more Kakarots than Gokus imo.
Well technically, they're all grandpa Goku
When is goku with halo
LPjunemark wait till season 3, where all the DLCS are Goku's and one Vegeta with a halo.
why not saiyan tail Goku
I wouldn't mind a ssj3 Goku
That comment cracked me up haha
Where is Lord Slug movie Goku?
Love this goku, so far
12:36 - 12:54 Beautiful

That last combo looked so cool man ! Great video o/
3:17 Felicitaciones, tu pronunciación es muy buena.
Vegeto Blue is the strongest character.
Base Goku: Hold my F**ing beer.
So that double Kamehameha combo from SS Goku into Spirit Bomb, in sparking lv.2, is a possible death combo?
sparking lvl doesn't affect damage, only duration.
Yeah, level 2 sparking so the duration covers the entire combo is what he means
Super Spirit Bomb is also incredibly easy to combo into most Beerus combos (dhc), since Beerus level 1 super holds the opponent in place for an ungodly amount of time and then launches them upwards.
But you know.. you'd have to play Beerus to do that...
Yo the hit of nostalgia at the intro to these is so fucking hard
Man goku really should have stayed like this for a good chunk of Z. The way he fight looks much more interesting and mucj more varied. Super saiyan should have appeared halfway through the series.
super saiyan appeared at what was the intended end of the series. dbz was supposed to end with frieza and goku
Dude Super Saiyan doesn't appear until the last like, quarter of Dragon Ball, What are you talking about?
Lmao next story should be he loses all his abilities to transform and has to rely on good old brains
ubadman1 nah this was headcannon, toriyama had no intention of ending DBZ at frieza saga, just one of those things that people passed around and believe eventually believed to be true, but wasn't
About the point where Max said you cant vanish a raw Super Spirit Bomb, it actually is possible to punish with a vanish if you time it properly (i.e when the ball is adjacent to or below Goku's body), but its mostly ideal if Goku is at low health, since you are knocking him down along with the enourmous Spirit Ball so there isnt much room for follow-up
Man. That opening never gets old.
That corner 1 bar combo was nuts, there weren’t even any assists involved
Love these videos, keep up the good work man
What's interesting is how much he seems like a Rush down character.
First time watching one of your vids... Epic intro!
The funny thing is that while there are already a billion Gokus, the game will never be complete until we have MUI Goku and Kid Goku
There is actually a very brief amount of time in which you can vanish out once it's gone past goku you can vanish
Thank you dood; i did discover how to use kaioken (3 ver) but i do not understand how the combo basics work; now i understand and i can play well
Thanks for doing this video.
When Goku does a lvl 3 and you are on the ground, you can actually just dash to the other side of the screen and then Dragon Dash up to him for a free combo
i like how max was using all goku looking characters
For those of you who don't know, if goku does super spirit bomb you can run forward and super dash around it to punish it in neutral
goku fighterz
So..that last combo was ALMOST an infinite. That was cool. Also, lvl 3 sparking + anything base Goku does is gonna be so lethal.
Sorry if its already been said, you can move under Goku during super spirit bomb and punish with vanish when its far enough away from him
For the kaioken lvl 1 it looks the optimal path in combo is
Regular kaioken (no allies dead): standing ki blast, standing light, down ki blast into kaioken finish
Kaioken times 3: stand ki blast, stand light, stand ki blast, stand medium, down ki blast, kaioken finish kamehameha
Kaioken 20x: stand ki blast, stand light, stand ki blast, stand medium, down medium, down light, down ki blast, kaioken finish 20x kamehameha
If you're have the opponent in the corner you can do stand light, stand ki blast, stand heavy as a starter for more damage
Can you combo Base Goku's Kaioken into Goku Blue's Kaioken ?
I want to see someone getting overwhelmed with Kaiokens :v
Sylvester Staline yea you theres a TOD with team goku
Great vid max, i found an easier way to deal with LVL 3 abit of a mental cue, as soon as you see goku put his hands down then at that moment it is vanish safe and if you time it right you can negate the whole spirt bomb animation. Also if you ARE playing goku everytime you see someone super dash thats a free raw lvl 3 + massive damage because of the auto tracker. (Can't be done right in the face the super dash will just cancel itself)
3:16 es muy bueno!!!
Pro tip: You can combo into the small Spirit ball from Goku's auto attack(just activate it after the smash). So you if you get all 3 charges it becomes SUPER easy to land the Spirit bomb.
You can start with the special button on the kaoiken for an extra hit.
I can see super Saiyan 4 Goku/Vegeta happening next dlc season just because of the base Goku/Vegeta reception
DHC? Can someple please explain? Or at least can we hope for a Git Gud episode 3? :P
That double spirit ball combo is fucking vicious. I can imagine a few people have rage quit after getting hit by that
Forgot to mention the stale effect during Kaioken if you keep doing followups of the same strength
Raise your hand every time Goku uses spirit bomb. Lend him your power because Goku needs your help.
Man, i had the *_hardest_* time getting a grip on Kaioken, and I'm pretty sure there are still some things I don't know, as seen in this video alone
you can actually vanish when they throw out the giant spirit bomb but you just need to be patient for it
Good stuff on the breakdown as always Max, but I really feel like Base Goku is going to be one of the weaker characters on the roster, probably right down there with Krillin unless someone discovers some crazy way to play the neutral game with him. Good luck with the online matches with him, I think you're gonna need it.
@Maximilian Dood you can vanish Super Spirit Bomb, you just have to wait for it not to be guarding Base Goku's back.
Never thought I would get so hype over classic ass Goku.
Where's old man goku? Where's tiny boy goku? Where's mecha goku? Where's goku from that fan manga where vegeta came to earth instead of goku?
King Crab wait till season 3 my dude, that shit gonna be litty like England is my city.
I'll leave :|
Random Dandelion legend
How sick would it be if Goku’s Down Ki worked like Doom’s Hidden Missiles?! All he would need is a footdive to be top tier
You can just dash forward to the other side of the screen to avoid the spirit bomb
Reflect works but they don't expect the vanish and if you wait til the spirit bomb passes Goku you can vanish out and hit them without being blown up.
i cant imagine how insane a level 3 sparking + x20 kaoiken goku can be
Hey Max do you use a Square or octagon gate on your fightstick
Thank you Max you have shown me how to play my favorite characters I'm this game to play zamasu ss Goku base Goku Goku black and my underdog krillin thank you and keep up the good work!
Goku taking some motherfuckin breaths
0:00 - What in the hell XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXD
1:28 - Did you say SMAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH?!!! (Serious where did that halabaloo even come from in the first place?)
"ES MUY BUENO!" 😂😂😂
Max, are you learning Spanish?
It woud have been coolerrrrr if they had done kid goku, with his staff and everything :) by the way Max bring back FIGHTING HISTORY! I love those, it has such a nice nostalgia feeling and it's fun as ffff
I would like more old Dragon ball representation like Roshi or Kid Goku and heck even 23rd tournament Chi-Chi
Retrozaid hey I just thought even king piccolo
King Piccolo + Roshi would be nice for a Season 2.
Chod Chode Kid Goku, King Piccolo, Roshi, Cabba, Kefla, Jiren, & Android 17 (ToP MVP version) for Season 2
Power Pole aka Nyoibo.
Why is it that the combo list says use R2 to use the Kaioken Kamehameha when R1 does that ender as well?
The damage potential alone from his Spirit Bomb warrants a visit from any serious player to play base Goku.
Looks insanely similar to the Supersonic Warriors combos
So glad spirit bomb does a shit ton of damage like it should
That X20 Kaioken Kamehameha does almost 4500 damage along without combo extenders.
That last combo will be done a lot. No online for me til Cooler come out
Dude I just can’t get the corner loops down. I do the first 3 hits of the auto and mash down L to start the next but it just doesn’t work the training dummy always just techs and I miss
Same here
Yea I can't seem to get it myself.
