Big PLUS, you could still see the engine & do tune ups yourself easily, with plenty of room to climb in & reach everything under the hood, without having to pull the motor. I had a 74 F-100 long bed, it lasted until 1980, when I had to replace it due to an accident where someone running wrong side of the street broadsided the right front end, bending the frame, the dealer did his best with insurance company, but had nothing but steering & front end problems afterward. Had a Hurst floor shifter & bench seat that could seat 3 good size dudes, can't get more than 2 in 2017 models at tripple the cost for a short bed.!
