I think the Obsidian Flames ETB is doing so well simply for the Charmander promo. Noticing the price of that also rising and it is one of the coolest Charmander cards there is

The 151 PC ETB literally was sold out within a couple hours of hitting the site and never returned.
I did buy one at $90, but even though the gain on that is nice I wish I had bought about five more at that price when it was there.

This is craziness that’s happening with 151. The pull rates are not that though but the fact that the product is not meeting demand. It’s hard not to see this set not get a massive reprint.
Started building my collection with my kids. We are hoping to go to a card show. We are finally figuring out what we want to focus on collecting. What are suggestions to research when wanting to trade, buy, and sell a a show?
QUESTION: I have the big 3 SIR's from 151 in a PSA 10. They just sold on ebay for $1,100. Should I sell now with the craziness and buy back when it crashes a bit, or should I just hold?
I’m not a master set kind of guy (not yet at least 😅) but I have 83% of 151 completed just because I love the set lol I literally picked up or pulled all the full arts and SIR’s except a few like the starters (except I pulled the Venusaur sir) love this set hopefully the prices come down on the starters so I can pick them up .. I just might not ever be able to get the charzard 😅 .. another great video 🎉

Surprised to hear you like the Poliwhirl more than Dragonair! My favorite is definitely Giovanni SIR and the Wartortle IR. Very glad i mastered this set early on, my first one!
at the end of sept i sold my charizard ex psa 10 for 415, if only i just held it for a week or 2 longer. oh well life moves on to the next treasure hunt.

Considering buying a booster bundle case for $450 (10 boxes), I know long term even at that price it will be a solid investment but if we see a reprint I wonder if I can snag one for less. 151 pc etb is the only PC etb i dont have of the scarlet and violet era. i did the same thing you did i never ordered any. had a opportunity to buy at $75 for each which i should have done. i’m going to have to bite the bullet and grab a couple now before they keep going up more. but Obsidian flames ETB i purchased a case or regular etb over the weekend for $310 a case and that promo is selling all day for $18-$20 bucks now

I missed the PC 151 ETBs too. Since then I have made sure to preorder at least a case.
The 151 charmander was closer to 50 last week. up at 46 or something like that. Only one im missing from the starters but I know as soon as i buy it as a single ill pull one. My LCS doesnt price anything, theyll look it up at market and sell it for that
I couldn’t pull that charmandar in like 400-500 packs, I gave up and went and bought it lol. I got it at 34, it’s at like 38 rn
Out of curiosity, would it be a good “investment” to collect the original base set? I recently had a son and would like to pass the collection along to him in the future. More than anything it’s about the nostalgia and feeling it brings, but would also be a added benefit if it would hopefully increase in value a little

I bought my 151 pc ETBs on the secondary market for $90 because I needed the snorlax for the master set. Opened 1 at $90 fully expecting to bite the bullet and lose money. Pulled the SIR zard
Everybody is waiting for the next Moonbreon. We might already have it with the 151 Charizard ex SIR.
Just completed the 151 master set and for the last 6 cards I needed it still cost $60😂 so glad it’s done now!

I would use those to trade, since they are in high demand. I use my low value 151 cards and trade them for higher value 151 cards. Since the movement is usually on top of

Hey Beard, Do you think prices are being manipulated by scalpers? I feel like thanks to them the scarcity is bringing up prices like crazy on 151 products.
More like everyone bought all the packs they could afford and still can’t pull certain chase cards. So now it’s time to buy the singles. I think that makes sense, as that’s what I did

Love the weekly videos.. however I disagree about the 151. Even with the new sets coming 151 has been underrated and misinterpreted since the beginning no matter how many re stocks or even a full-blown reprint will affect the price very little. I don’t think you’re doing anyone any favors telling them not to ““ FOMO.. today’s expensive is tomorrow’s cheap for 151..
