DIY Flower Candle
7 ingredients
Ingredients
1 Orange
1 Apple
1 Lime
Dried flowers, as needed
Candle wax, as needed
Blue crayon, as needed
Fragrance oil, as needed
Never colour candles using crayon as it clogs the wick n gives a disgusting black smoke when blown out

@@scottlogsdon5607 Baker here ; there's also plenty of oil based food coloring. Or try gel and not water based. depending on what I'm baking and creating treats for my customers

warning: guys, be careful and i would recommend not trying this out, first off, dried flowers are flammable so it can end badly, second, i dont know how crayon will go in a candle, it could clog up the wick, please be careful if your going to try this out

Very pretty but please rather use the proper candle colorants instead of wax crayons. Wax crayons when burnt can release chemicals into the air you are breathing
I make candles and I think that would work, for a day. They would get all moldy

The purpose of packing the fruit is to create. Fragrant leather, it would last alot longer than you think

@@paolacufaroart it's not dry though it's just cooked, you would need to dehydrate them.
I just wasted a ton of wax because I cheaped out and used crayon. My candles would barely burn then just go out. Crayon clogs the wick.
If you guys wanna know how to really make candle so I have steps -
1- melt the candle but take out wicks
2-use a glass container
3- Put the wicks in glass container then make it stand straight with a ice cream stick *please make hole in the ice cream stick to make the wicks stand*
4-pour the wax and fragrance oil
5-got the candle❤❤
My method! And with good essential oil you don't need fruit! Water Bath and store your fruit on the shelf for emergency foods. Yes they make the candle beautiful but with the world situation we need to be prepping on a budget. Candles for light, fruit for health on a shelf!
How do you know how much fragrance to use?
@@monicaowens1115try and error depending on how good of quality your EO is, normally a 1 oz for a batch of 4 should be good, depending on if you use soy wax or paraffin
Terrible idea to add crayons that will stink and burn black but also adding food will cause it to catch fire too overall very bad suggestions
First thing that crayon was wax crayon that will mix in wax and second think the food was at borders of candle not inside . But food is wasted

Can you use food dye to color the candle or no?
Candle maker here (I don't sell them) I've used crayons to color candles and have had no problem using them. I've made candles for my friends and they have had no problems with the wick. That might just be me though. But also I agree with you on the food it's dangerous to just put random food in. Stay safe please.

There needs to be a more informing video. I make candles and never use crayons! Dye is so cheap on amazon

I think making sure the container is cold when you put the wax in helps it separate

Annnnnd? Break the plastic?
Add hot heat from a hair dryer of some sort around the outside of the jar until it's slightly separated, turn upside down and lightly shake the candle out. Trial and error 😊
Use pillar wax it's properties helps to pull out from the container itself

Music is odd choice for such a beautiful video. The video gave me more of a relaxing vibe of candle making, but that song gave me anxiety and the need to pace back and forth very fast 😂

This video is not cool at all. First off crayons aren't meant for this. It'll stop burning once it hits the crayon. Those oranges are cute but they'll stop the flame too . They can possibly catch on fire with the flowers in them too. There's videos and readings that speak specifically about this

No! Using crayons can cause burning issues in your candles because of the dyes in the crayons. Absolutely do not use crayons.

Do not do this ! Learn how to actually make a candle safely before trying to " teach " others. This could very easily catch fire. A little knowledge is dangerous

No because the fruit is dried
It is not easy every step is different in so many right temperature right time etc
I've done it for years, actually decades, and never had any big issues. But I started using dried fruit, leaves, etc because they won't mold and they stay better in some waxes like soy, vegetable, and the newer gel waxes. Like another comment I saw, fresh cut fruit exposed to air will mold. Make sure the wax completely surrounds the items you are placing in the candle. That's why I prefer dried items

That’s for beginners? 😂You have got to be kidding . Beginners? Where does the melted wax come from? The only thing I learned from this is how to use the largest knife on earth to slice fruit. Beginners huh? 😂Pretty though, but that just couldn’t have been for beginners. On to the next video .
