The BT50 and DMax scored quite poorly in another recent 4wd comparison, with the Ranger, Triton and Hilux proving significantly better in the off-road stuff.
Great review, never thought I would see the day a Hilux was considered mid of the pack, just shows how far some of the competitors have come, good job Ranger…
And that a GD6 Hilux is hands down the worst one ever sold. The thing is so cheap and under designed, it's not even funny. I'm a Toyota technician and working in a dealership for almost 4 years. Toyota? Totally over rated 😂
I’ve had my share of trucks and my NG WT is amazing!! every time I get in and go., there’s so much more I’m finding that no one has even told me about / & on utube also. So many more extras to enjoy. Just a GREAT RIDE❣️
I'm really interested to know how the servicing costs were calculated and why you advise the GWM costs a lot more? Looking at the Ford website I found the old Range is $299 for each of the first four general services. While the new Ranger is $329 for each of the first four general services. On the GWM website, the 1st service is $260 followed by $360. My calculations have the GWM costing $6 more per service than the new Ranger or $36 for the old Ranger. I don't want to say you didn't do your research. However, if I can find this with a quick google search, I'm sure your researchers could sorry should have done the same thing.
No economy results during the tow and load testing is a massive mistake with the price of diesel now it shows me that these guys are out of touch with the common folk who don’t get a fuel card for their work
I'm looking at buying a Musso. I'm not looking at hardcore Aussie Alps off-roading or flogging a caravan nationwide. I'm looking at a comfortable highway cruiser that will get me to beaches, and carry kayaks, fishing and camping gear out of the ute.
what about the ldv t 60 what do you think of theses utes the 2022 or 2023 should i get one or should i go for a ford ranger 2019 or 2018 would love to hear what you think
Hi carsales, I've just seen the CURRENT AFFAIR regarding the issues of the current FORD RANGER. Issues such as suddenly braking at 80 km/h, dash board screen showing nothing and poor customer service. In your future videos, COULD YOU PLEASE INCLUDE CURRENT ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE (any vehicles) and WHAT THE MANUFACTURERS DOING ABOUT IT (fixes). Your videos influences how our hardworking Australians buy their knew vehicles. You will provide GREAT SERVICE to our community by providing not just the POSITIVE and NEGATIVE reviews about the vehicle but also the actual issues with it. This way, the MANUFACTURERS can be put on notice, up their standards and giving the manufacturers the idea CUSTOMER SERVICE should be their number one priority. Now that's a concept, PASSIONATE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Yep, I have seen it a few days ago on RUclips. I was planning to order a Ranger XLT, but after I have seen it, which confirms the reliability issues I have heard with the Ranger, I decided to go for DM-Max X-Terrain instead. I just test driven it today. Yes Ranger is a better vehicle to drive, but for me reliability is the number-1 factor. I think will place an order for the X-Terrain soon.
I do not mind at all the roaring sound they produce and the grunts of their engines...not annoying and not boring to drive also, it's either you want to drive a car and use your senses or the car will drive for you and uses its senses for you?👀 After 2 years Review, Can you guys do an actual test with this utes at night time and during a not so heavy rain?✌
I can’t believe that there is no mention in your review of drum rear brakes. Important for safety & towing. Anything with drum brakes should be on the bottom of the list just like Amarok has been because it has no rear airbags
There's no way the triton comes in last. I've test driven lots of these, owned SR5 Hilux's, and found the new Isuzu / Mazda very agricultural and loud in the cabin. Do think the new Ford is the best, but Triton is mid-table in my opinion.
I Like the review covers almost all items that a potential buy is looking at, wants and needs. You retailed a lot of items when describing the LS-U+ and XLT which it would have been good to have these items as part of the overall stats and criteria. One other item to add please (which every buyer needs to know). What is the customer service and customer support from the manufacturer when something goes wrong with their new purchase? I understand this can only be done by reviews of the past 12 months performance of the companies...but is a extremely important point. e.g. Over the past 12 months Isuzu is more likely not to look after the client compared to Mazda. Toyota had issues in this respect over the past 3-4 years. Ford is similar to Toyota with this aspect as well. Basically it is time to start holding the manufacturers to account for their performance, not just in service to the client but how they truly look after the client then they might have purchased a lemon. A very critical point !
I don't think it was a fair fight. Isuzu is a couple years old, triton is at least 3 years old and the ranger is the brand new model, of course it's going to be better than the rest. Let's see in a couple years what the rest of the manufacturers bring out and maybe some new contenders will join the market to like Hyundai maybe.
What a crap, you should be rating by reliability, cost, customer complaints, accc cases, class action cases e.g. isuzu and toyota, accc fines e.g. mazda etc.
No toyota is just average quality because it not good at handling cornering not comfortable easy to overturn bodyroll engine sound so harsh but only good for hard job carried heavy loaded ,got many spareparts dealer good aftermarket because of these thing but not good for comfortable city driving speeding on highway like mitsubishi triton

@@trentthompson977 no vehicle is immune to rust, I was simply stating that the Chinese utes have had objectively a much higher propensity for rust and corrosion in the Australian market. It's a huge job to test and rate all these vehicles even if they all look the same, just as well they are in different colours.

Just shows how shit it is when car sales is sponsored by toyota, go to car sales page and see how many toyota adds there is.

What about the LDV T60 Max?
Where is the amarok?
3 mins in and i see they gave triton 5 year warranty when it pretty much has 10
yeah just got to that part in the video now and I am questioning whether to go on or not. If they cant even get that right, then why bother..
great review, love the Ford Ranger but there all good these days...
I choose D-max, 4 me the best

Would have to be the Dullest review of a range of Utes completed in Aust. Give yourself an upper cut Carsales.
Mitsubishi Triton, Ford ranger third Isuzu D-MAX fuel economic but not efisiency, Nissan is better comfortable cabin good engine also better handling
Where's Amarok 1st gen?
Shame the V6 Ranger was not used for this test.
Loe this stuff, keep it coming
Mitsubishi the winner cross country rally thailand to cambodia king of the champion, defeated ford raptor
ADR claims? We'd have been better serviced by "as tested" figures.
No Amarok in the comparison!
Dmax for me
Crikey, starts off telling me about tech that I dont care about
