Awesome great work, really want to do one of these - love the slope you created for the train!

This is awesome! So glad I stumbled across this. Well done, and great job explaining how you made it. I plan to do something similar one day once I’m out of the apartment life and have a home with more room. Just been collecting winter sets.
I’ve been trying to figure out how to fill out the scenery and this is it! The foam idea is genius with the ice look way cheaper than trying to stack millions of white brick lol. Love the train layout too!
Quick Q, how do you store this? I know you mentioned in your video the mountain comes off. Just curious how you store that bottom half of you wouldn’t mind?!

That's pretty cool. I recently got the gingerbread set, my first lego set. I am hoping to start a tradition with my grandson.

Great layout! If you get the decorative sides for the train motor wheels there are two studs on the top and you can build up from those and make the tender look better. Great job!

Looks brilliant!! We put ours under the tree flat on boards but your idea looks so much better going to have to try something similar this year. Only trouble is now that we have every set were running out of room

So wanting to make something like this but I don’t have the train set so it would just be for my village pieces. Question though, I thought in your video you said you put plywood under the cardboard and I no you said when you painted the cardboard, it shrunk them so is the cardboard really necessary or could I just use foam and plywood?

Not sure if you're still active on this page but if you do see this, could you tell me what is the base of the whole village? Thanks

Foam panel sheets from Home Depot or Lowe’s. Glued together and then carved into the shape. Lots of glue and cardboard too.
