Come Dine With Me takes people who are experts in the art of giving the perfect dinner party and puts their skills to the test. All are great cooks and excellent hosts - but they're all very different. So, if one person's perfect dinner party is another person's evening from hell, how will our hosts cope with a whole week of each other's hospitality?
Each night for a week, one of our hosts will throw a dinner party for the others. They all have their own unique styles of cooking and entertaining, but they're all determined to impress, because at the end of each evening, the guests will give their host a mark out of ten. The host with the most points at the end of the week wins £1,000 pounds. Come Dine With Me has expanded to a variety of formats including singles, couples and celebrity specials!

according to wiki he's anm american actor popular in the 50's who had a long career that basically ended in the 90's with a few tv and film appearences after that but no movies ive ever heard of.

@@Kashish4Eijaz I commented this on another video from this episode, but from watching it I thought James was a people pleaser and was terrified of doing or saying anything that might upset someone. It may just be the edit, but I don't really remember him saying anything negative during the episode, he praised every course of everyone's meals, he was clearly reluctant to ask anyone a personal question during Zaira's night, and Toby mentioned during his dinner that up to that point James hadn't shown much passion, IE he had kept quiet and perhaps not participated in the "heavier" conversations. Even during the results, if you watch he wants to pat Zaira on the shoulder but pulls back until Toby does the same so he knows it's OK before doing it himself.
So I think it's possible that rather than him being against Zaira and on Heather's side, he just didn't want to rock the boat. I could be misreading things but based on the 45 minutes that we all saw, perhaps his being friends with Heather was because he didn't want to offend her by saying no.

He's a 1950s heartthrob-- father of Jamie Lee Curtis-- and he's best known for "Some Like it Hot", "The Defiant Ones", and "The Amazing Race". I highly recommend "Some Like it Hot" because it's a hilarious comedy... but I totally get that a lot of people don't know who he is anymore. Heather was being ridiculous.
