So very helpful to actually see you go through the process of styling instead of just seeing the end result. Great tips!

I would love to see items collected from holidays and family memorabilia displayed tastefully. Anyone can buy latest trend decor and display it. That’s why it sells.

I think it's the same idea. Layer the memorabilia with that other decor that "sells" (e.g. on top of books or next to bigger items, etc.). I get it can be hard though because sometimes the memorabilia just looks tacky. Also, she may just have different preferences as to what she likes to display.

Very helpful to hear as Shea talks outloud while styling. Love seeing the process. Thank you.

Love what you said about balance. I learned a lot through this. I don't have bookshelves anymore, but I used to just put them straight across with nothing else in it. I like how you space everything out more and change the way they sit. It all looks nicely curated instead of a mound of clutter (that grosses me out just typing that word).

floating shelves are great but we added to our home because we actually have a ton of books and a ton of other things and we need storage. while all the decorative pieces are fun and i would love to be able to have them it’s impossible when you actually need the space for the useful things

It's a helpful video, but the close-up, off to the side angle is awkward and you can't see all of the shelves. All of the camera movement/zooming is distracting. Also why is this video so dark? I'm all about dark offices for working, but for recording purposes, this needs brighter lighting. The close-ups can come at the end after all of the styling is done. Set the camera up straight on and zoomed out while Shea is styling.

Backwards books make no sense. Don’t understand why one would use books in that way. They are not decor if backwards. If you don’t want people to know what you’re reading put them in a cabinet with doors. It’s a trend that needs to go.

Agree. I want to see the titles so I can find the correct book! Aesthetics isn't everything. Needs to be practical, too .

And I think I would rather use books that are the same tone with jackets removed... for that aesthetic. Seeing the book titles is so sexy!
