I would love to see items collected from holidays and family memorabilia displayed tastefully. Anyone can buy latest trend decor and display it. That’s why it sells.
I think it's the same idea. Layer the memorabilia with that other decor that "sells" (e.g. on top of books or next to bigger items, etc.). I get it can be hard though because sometimes the memorabilia just looks tacky. Also, she may just have different preferences as to what she likes to display.
Love what you said about balance. I learned a lot through this. I don't have bookshelves anymore, but I used to just put them straight across with nothing else in it. I like how you space everything out more and change the way they sit. It all looks nicely curated instead of a mound of clutter (that grosses me out just typing that word).
Great lesson! In a shot video, you communicated so well the rules and your thought process that I have learnt and applied to my own home and suddenly the shelves look great and it all makes sense :) Thanks a lot Shea! I'm in owe...
Hi Shea ❤ I love interior design! I have many tastes so I've been watching so many videos trying to decipher, see what screams, "Yes, this is you!" LOL 😊 Thank You. Have a beautiful day! 🌞💐💕
floating shelves are great but we added to our home because we actually have a ton of books and a ton of other things and we need storage. while all the decorative pieces are fun and i would love to be able to have them it’s impossible when you actually need the space for the useful things
It's a helpful video, but the close-up, off to the side angle is awkward and you can't see all of the shelves. All of the camera movement/zooming is distracting. Also why is this video so dark? I'm all about dark offices for working, but for recording purposes, this needs brighter lighting. The close-ups can come at the end after all of the styling is done. Set the camera up straight on and zoomed out while Shea is styling.
Backwards books make no sense. Don’t understand why one would use books in that way. They are not decor if backwards. If you don’t want people to know what you’re reading put them in a cabinet with doors. It’s a trend that needs to go.
I have some books back to front as I work from home as a therapist in my client home office . My work books face forward but my personal ones are back to front for my own privacy
So very helpful to actually see you go through the process of styling instead of just seeing the end result. Great tips!
Glad it was helpful!

Very helpful to hear as Shea talks outloud while styling. Love seeing the process. Thank you.
So glad you found it helpful! 😘

SO HELPFUL! Thank you for making a video where we can hear her rationale for decision making.
Great video with heaps of info. Heartening to see a professional using the 'try it and see' method that most of us have to use. Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Loved this video! So helpful! It’s like a quiz to see if my intuition is any good and it feels so great when I see shea do what I was thinking to do!
So glad you loved it! 😘

Right from the start, looking at your items, I noticed horse, and textural object, I see as a horseshoe! 😉
Looks great Shea, as would! ❤

Fabulous styling, Shea.😊
Thank you for sharing but was it a plastic fern or it was just doomed to dye in the darkest corner of the shelf?
So inspiring 🙌🏻👌👏😍 Thank You! 💚🍀💚🍀
Love to hear that! Thank you! ❤️
Really good styling tips Shea! 🎉 Right now I am just waiting to receive my Malyn pillows to add to my home ❤
Thanks so much! Hope you enjoy the pillow covers!❤️

Looks great!
Thank you!!
what are the specs of the floating shelves? I want something like that for a long wall
Love this series! Can you please link your watch? Thank you!
I'd like to see how to style glass front kitchen cabinets. Thank you.
Great suggestion!
Please would you consider switching on a light for videos like this? It’s quite hard to see in the gloom.
This looks very complicated. Ima gonna just throw things haphazardly on my shelf😮

I really enjoyed your book and kinda wished it was 1000 page 😂
Thank you!! ❤️

When Shea changed her mind😂😂😂😂

Seriously missed the point. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣
Agree. I want to see the titles so I can find the correct book! Aesthetics isn't everything. Needs to be practical, too .
And I think I would rather use books that are the same tone with jackets removed... for that aesthetic. Seeing the book titles is so sexy!
It’s ridiculously contrived.

Meh…..nothing new
