You did good Spanj and really learned a lot from these attempts! You have the added difficulty of streaming and trying to take into account all the (sometimes conflicting) advice in chat. (which people forget is 10 secs late) At times I see it breaking your concentration and plan so don't be so hard on yourself.
Screw that planet Desertum on insane difficulty.. it makes things even harder, but I get that you want to go random planet and it does make it fun.
Maybe you could consider letting Hope have combat because she can't even defend herself.
You could get her achievement separately on a lower difficulty as she just has to reach intellect 10.
The game is great and so addictive. 5 hours can just fly by as there is always something to do, I need to quit 😖

I totally understand how you feel about this game. It is quite Addicting from the looks of it. It's really enjoyable to watch You and Laney play. It is on my list to buy eventually.
Empyrion is good entertainment and has such potential it just needs more missions, story, etc. I feel this game is a close 2nd and then 7D2D.
When there is a new season or series of 7D2D, Ravenhurst Would be a good change. Lot of people do Darkness Falls so something a little different would be nice.
I'd love to see Chaos Crew do the Wasteland or Joke Mod.
This game maan, i'm gonna buy and play the heck out of it, some streamers died 20 times and studied the heck out of the insane mode, before even daring to build their deathstar gundam fortresses on stream XD , keep at it!
Spanj FYI there is a mod for Lethal Company so up to 32 people can play.
Quinn is combat (Indifferent) while that sounds like he couldn't care either way, it actually means doing combat pisses him off. Not the same as incapable, he can still do it, but when he does it, it tanks his happiness.
so frustrating, Melody was starving and waiting for treatment for a day and a half doing nothing and you just left her there. Would have at least increased the chance to make a come back.
I’d rather see you play on like med but make the worlds hard to play in cause I’d rather see a long term win then a short- med term loss but that’s me.. still enjoy!!
LOS needs to be evened out for survivors vs the enemy for sure. Their ability to shoot and have 'cover' even though they are standing in the open is BS.
I mean I know these things are 'robots' with A.I. and all that but they are like 20x smarter than the freaking survivors are. AND have more self-preservation skills!!!

They need to change that 'never get up from fainted' status They FAINTED, they didn't go into a fkn COMA! ffs.
And the whole 'pain thing' is vastly unbalanced. The humans are almost instantly incapacitated by it. But the robots, of course, can function 100% even when at 1% health. When they said 'This is by no means balanced' when it came out they were SEVERLY understating the issue. lol
Pretty much everything except wood/stone/concrete/carbon nanotubes will spoil if not under cover. You can build a thatch roof and put flat storage under it to stave off storage timers for most everything that doesn't go on shelves.
An hour in, and desperately hoping he finds out about limiting farming to a set qty D:!

That was total BS if their 'mobile' turrets can see your turrets, your turrets should be able to see them and fire at them.
The level of micromanagement in this game is just too much for me to enjoy a playthrough, ok to watch but not to play.
smaller fields and turn off harvest when you have enough food for a few DAYS until you can get refrigeration/freezers/freezer rooms. the game panics you with low food warnings but on most maps you'll load in on you'll have plenty around you growing wild to even potentially last through the first year with no fields. rng map generation being what it is YMMV but you'll know when you load in and inspect the landscape.
think that was the only real problem you had, too many fields, too large and not shutting them down so hope/etc couldn't do anything but play in the fields which wasn't helping at all. food is important but when you have only three, then two mouths to feed it takes very little. hope in that regard is the bigger concern since her needs are much more specific and rare.
as you've discovered insane is...insane. you really have to min/max everything to the nth degree and on saltu antibiotics early. a trick if you're hyper focused on food worries is to make the field, plant it, then delete the field and let it grow. you will have to manually harvest BUT i haven't yet had to deal with crop diseases doing that. not efficient, seems to grow slower, but reduces overall labor. leaving crops on the vine so to speak is another method to slim down food waste and waste work. you don't need to harvest right away, and until you do the counter for decay doesn't start until you harvest.
there is a time limit food will stay on the vine but with just in time method of food for eating/raw food stocks staying low it doesn't stay on the vine all that long.
research...is tough, defenses obviously, antibiotics are vital as is the whole healing regime in the game at least up to first aid kits as quickly as possible on saltu. delivery/battle drones are handy as they only require the basics which you an scavenge most of from enemies and further from what you scavenge from them, cpus/electronics can be broken down further as can all the weapons they drop giving you a steady supply albeit in bursts of silicon, alloys, scrap and the occasional energy crystals from batteries. (hope likes the crystals)
also...micromanage the foods your refugees are allowed to eat, that will help prevent food poisoning.
edit, currently trying for the 3 years on insane achievement, just crossed year 3, one to go. the beginning is the worst.
