- Come check out our sweet potato harvest. We had a much better crop than last year! Next year we plan to create a couple more beds worth of crops. These are the Georgia Jets variety. I think next year we will go back to the Beauregard variety.
We have a heavy clay soil and have reaped the rewards by digging most of it out and backfilling with peat moss, top soil, and cow manure. Lots of watering over the hot summer months!
So heartwarming for an old man like me to see a young couple working together tilling their land just like we did. I hope you are blessed with children to make your life even better. I, for one, would love for you to share that with us as well, if you feel so inspired.
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! We do not have kids other than our 2 fur babies and 6 chickens. Personal choice that we are happy with... Our lives are very full with family and we feel like we are setting an example for others of hard work and being more so self sustained in life. A work in process of course... Thank you for the comment and coming by our channel
I just enjoy watching u both,,thanks for sharing,,blessing,,

Awesome harvest, you got some really large ones..new friend here from Growing My Own.
Thank you my friend.
You have a great harvest. How did you dig out the clay soil? Did you have to use a machine? Thanks for sharing.
Used our tiller to break it up as low as it would go probably about 7 inches and then good old fashion shovel... was hard work but worth it. We did the same with 3 other beds
Watching this video feels like a mini getaway from the hectic city life. 🏙➡🌿
Yes! So glad we have lived in the city for about 3 years now.
