Liam has acknowledged them many times. Noel binned them off in about 1996. You can hear Chris and Tony's inspiration stamped all over Oasis. We all know they lifted tons of hooks, guitar tones and vocal style from the Realies. For all Liam's bluster at least he's grateful and honest. Noel only exists in Noel's world. The Real People are great but we're never gonna be Oasis. Liam gave Oasis an edge. Undoubtedly Noel although a stealing beast is a great song writer that made Oasis great.
I Went to watch the Real People back in 90s loads of time, followed them around, they were that good, with Chris and Tony Griffiths up front and Tony Elson on drums and Sean Simpson on guitar. We meet the lads loads of times after the gigs, top lads and every gracious. “TOP BAND”
Hey Lads! I remember opening up for you at the borderline in London back in 2005.... (my cousin Garry Ford was your drummer at the time) still sounding brilliant!
Funny that I met Gary when he was with the Realies back in 95 or 96 through a mutual musician friend. He was a pretty mint drummer. We were super into the Real People at the time. I feel so old 🤣
