I do love what you're doing here. I am here from the 1911Forum after watching your video there. My whole career was spent designing and building fixtures for long run precision production small parts. I am looking forward to your videos so I can live vicariously through you. lol

Well thank you. If you have any comments on how to improve my fixtures, please feel free to comment. I'm kind of learning as I go. LOL

Those look amazing. Well done. What engravers are you using for the fine work and large engravings?

Thanks! And thank you for subscribing! I use tapered ball end mill cutter that I buy on amazon. Search for this type of cutter and adjust cutting diameter. I like the taper because it has more strength.

@@LastBastionLabs Thank you! Do you have a recommended speeds and feeds for this engraver. I'm using an 1100MX. I asked the seller on Amazon and he said it depends on my machine. at least he could have given me a starting point... thanks!

@@tdg911 I am running 10K spindle RPM with 47 ft/min surface speed. Most important is to be around .0002 feed per tooth. Sorry so late, I was on vacation and did not have internet.

@@LastBastionLabs Thank you and no problem at all. Do you have this listed in F360 as a taper end mill or engraver? I tried using it as engraver and could not get a valid tool path. I have an 1100MX but the current engravers I have is having some issues with the really small features I need. thanks again and love your attention to detail! Love the videos

@@tdg911 I have it as a tapered endmill. I hardly every use the engraving tool path. I use trace and set the depth at -.001. I the run deeper passes until I get what I want. I have not had much luck with more than -.002 depth of cut in a pass.
