    The question with the burn and hyponatremia you mentioned it says hypernatremia but the question is asking for hyponatremia.

    HyPO- You GO (fluids go into the cell)
    HyPER- Come HERE (fluids come out of the cell)

    The potassium question with the banana and the spinach salad is tricky. Spinach is also high in potassium, but you’d have to eat about 2.5 cups of fresh spinach to equal a banana. That’s a mighty big salad! I’d rather see the tricky questions from you before I get to the NCLEX.

      I also thought the question after that one...about foods w/ the greatest impact on the neurochemical activity... I chose pickle since it is high in sodium and that has neuro effects

      Same. Babies are given potassium shots bc they don't have clotting factors. I thought Bananas have more potassium per serving. Weird question.
      And I also picked sodium for neuro

    Hi Professor D! I have a question! First, thank you so much for your videos and for taking the time to help us nursing students succeed in our journey we appreciate you so much. My question is related to "which food has the greatest impact on cardiac conductivity" question, I know bananas are high in potassium but why would the answer not be spinach? Do bananas have a higher concentration of potassium than spinach? Thank you so much again for all that you do for us!!

    question 26:41 is talking about hyponatriemia bt the answer u gave is for hypernatremia. am confused there can someone help me out please

      I had the same issue but it seems like Professor accidentally shared a different question on the screen with the same answers. I reminded and just listened to the question ignoring the one on the screen. If you listen to what she says it all makes sense just doesn’t align with what’s on the screen. Good luck!

      The answer is 3 Nausea and vomiting. Dry sticky tongue happens with when the Na+ is too high not too low, decreased bowl sounds happen with Hypokalemia and increased anxiety can happen with hyperkalemia. With decreased Na+ they can also have personality changes, dizziness and tachycardia.

    26:34 i think the question is asking about hyponatremia not hypernatremia. Shouldnt nausea and vomiting be the answer? Please correct me if im wrong and clarify.

    I would like to say thank you for all your heard working videos. They are helping me through nursing school. This is my last exam for the semester as of tomorrow and need an 80 or above on this exam to pass.
    On the last question of this video it stated it is hypobatremia wouldnt the answer be 3 nausea/vomiting as their sign and symptoms? please clarify

    marvellous work. but regarding the transfusion reaction quiz, i tend to differ. so you collect the urine sample take to the lab, so patient is left waiting for the result so you infuse normal saline or give epinephrine?????

    Hey! I love your videos for studying ! Lately I've seen contradicting statements about the second thing to do after a hemolytic reaction. I was always taught and studied to run NS after stopping the IV, can you further explain why this is not correct?

      Stop the infusion then give NS but not in the same line that was causing the reaction
