It feels just incredible! I supported Nemo with all SMS I could send from abroad, and now he brought the Eurovision 2025 to our Basel! I live just 7 minutes walk from the venue!😅
I took a chance and booked a hotel in Basel the same day of the final, last May. Whew! Thank God! See you in May, Basel! Let's GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! 🙂
Congratulations to Basel! However, this is no big surprise: the EBU certainly doesn't want the protests in front of its headquarters in Geneva ;-) What's more, with Lugano and Lausanne, the ESC has already been in the Italian-speaking and French-speaking parts of Switzerland. It was logical that the German-speaking part would now be next.
Now I know where to book to see Eurovision in person for the first time! Its also good it'll be held on May 17 (1 week after my grad school's graduation ceremony)! Ibwas initially worried about the dates
At least we have Montenegro back after a two-year absence. Let’s hope that RTCG will now work hard together and bring Montenegro back to the Grand Final in 2025!
As a person from Basel, I see this as an absolute win. No but really, I'm so happy that Switzerland won and never in my wildest dreams did I imagine it would be in my home town, I can finally go and it's literally like 10 minutes away🥳
Congratioulations! I will go to Basel for Eurovision, but I have booked accommodation in Mulhouse in France. Do you know if there are regular trains from Basel to Mulhouse? How are the prices in general? Is it worth taking it?
@@skz4406 There's a regular train from Mulhouse to Basel that's every 30 minutes on weekdays. It's called TER. For the train, it's best to buy a TNW Day Pass triregio for 23.40 CHF with which you can use all public transportation in the region, also in France and Germany around Basel. It's valid for 24 hours. Mulhouse is relatively cheap compared to Basel. In Basel itself, things are rather expensive for non-Swiss people, I suppose. As long as you don't eat in pricey restaurants but buy food in the supermarket, for example, it'll probably be fine as long as you are willing to spend some money for Eurovision and you think it's worth it.
@@feyraelin07 Thanks so much for the information! Maybe you misunderstood my question, it was more specific about the Mulhouse-Basel trains, the prices and the availability, and if you thought it was a good means of transport that is worth using, but there is nothing wrong with other and useful information either! I will be there between May 15-18, looking forward to it!

@@skz4406 There are 2 trains per hour between Basel and Mulhouse, and the trip is about 20-25 minutes. You can buy a ticket for 24 hours for the whole region, included trams and buses (Basel-Germany-France) which costs about 23 Swiss franks. I think it's worth it.
I'm really happy that the phrase "United By Music" wasn't mentioned at all in this video. Let's hope the Swiss have enough budget to come up with a new slogan.
