This was my favorite program as a kid. Now it is very funny. Stock footage intermingaled with stagnet close ups and Masters. Same sound...I could go on butI'll just remember this as TV in it's infantsy.
Me, too. Captain Midnight was another one. I think it was that show that I ordered a ray gun that you could fill up with flour and shoot it out. Had it one day when parents took it after I blasted the black and white TV all white.
I watched this as a 6 year old in 1953. The jungle seemed like a swell place to have all kinds of fun and I wished I could be there. Got my wish in 1969...different kind of jungle where both quadrupeds and bipeds tries to have fun with me...
Remember it in syndicated reruns in the 60's as a child. Cheesy stock footage only gets worse with age.. Live action exteriors were shot at the LA County Arboretum in Arcadia.
I see this was the very first episode. I have a book by the late Jennings Michael Burch, he must have fudged the years because this says 1953, he let on like he was ten when Ramar Of The Jungle was on, He was born in 1940 so he would have been thirtenn when this was on. He said he was watching Ramar and his Mom fell down a flight of stairs and broke her neck and back. He had to have fudged the years in the book.

I thought I had the Ramar of the Jungle view. I was a sick puppy. But I loved it.
I barely remember this. When I was little I called it Grandma of the Jungle.
