A Moodies song that just invites happy memories of good times. For many years post 2009 this was the band's opening number. The other good news at this time was the playlist included fan's favourites from the early albums. So other evocative songs such as 'I know you're out there somewhere', 'Are you sitting comfortably' 'Story in your eyes and The Voice were played. Listen to the words of 'Broken Dream' but have a box of tissues handy.

One from the playlist! I wasn't a huge fan of Moody Blues but many of my friends were. I like this song, though, because it paints a picture. Maybe it was because many of my friend's older brothers were getting drafted, I saw this as they did their tour of duty and came home relatively safe and sound, and started connecting with the people at home. "Dark cloud of fear is blowing away, Now that you're here, you're going to stay...Tell us what you've seen in faraway forgotten lands, Where empires have turned back to sand." You're the history buff--was there any correlation in 60s UK with the US and Viet Nam? Anyway, a beautiful song and tells how friendship can change and energize our day.

In 1968 there was a protest in the uk of 100, 000 people against the war in Vietnam , the CND was on the rise since its formation in 1958 , so whilst it is fair to say the UK was not demonstrating in the same way or changing as fundamentally as the USA was with the civil rights movement in the 60s , it’s fair to say we were on the same page in many respects.. if almost that makes sense 😊

I wouldn't say this is amongst my favorites from them, but I do love their early proggy period. They were one of my favorite bands, growing up in the '70s. "A Question of Balance" is my favorite album of theirs.

I’d love it if you picked a track from that album for me to react to and showcase ? Please 😊

@@alan-reacts65 Sure, I think "Question" is the best track on the album, and probably the most popular.
