  • Found a Abandoned Maglev in the woods in South, GA Left alone and Forgotten after years of research and funding from the company, and the citizens. Amazing find.     There's a couple of articles on this thing online, but not even a Wiki-page seems to exist. WEIRD.
    Still a shame if it's really getting demolished, the train deserves a museum/display

    There's another Maglev demo train near Powder Springs GA northwest of Atlanta.

    If you are interested, there is only 1 Maglev in operation today. It was built by a German company for China & runs out of Shanghi reaching speeds of 430 KPH. Costs are staggering & the Chinese government says it will never pay for itself. A Maglev rides on a magnetic field and touches nothing as it travels. It feels like riding in a plane. It covers 20 miles in about 8 minutes if I recall.

      It was going to take a lot more money than originally thought, and they already had Marta set up for most of the transportation needs around the cities.
