I really would love to see the tutorials about these reports , they are brilliant. Could you please make tutorials about it or ask the authors to share their knowledge with us? thank you very much!
I've been using power BI for almost 3 weeks now and I have very quickly fallen in love with it. Seeing reports like these has deepened my interest in truly learning this software. This is pure art
To be 100% honest, I was not expecting to make it to the top 3. It's the very first time I engage in this type of contest, especially when I haven't been using Power BI for too long! It came as an awesome surprise to me. And for sure it will inspire me to get even better at it :) Thanks for the opportunity. Now I feel I bit more confident about participating in the events to come :) Saludos desde Praga!
You really did well Alan. The GIF on the home page really caught my attention coupled with a couple of other visuals. Do you plan on showcasing how you were able to build the report anytime soon?
Really looking forward to seeing your future reports. It looked as though you spent a good deal of time on some of the more in-depth visuals, and I appreciated that effort 😊
@@arikohn1455 Hi mate, thanks! Many people actually asked me about it. I will be doing a video to explain it. Just hang in there as I am finishing moving to another flat. Bit hectic at the moment XD
I think this video of yours should get the highest number of likes, comments and shares. Also the guys have done some stupendous job, my mind is just blown away
These are so unique and well executed! Thanks so much to the creators for sharing their work. It’s scary to do so in an age of rampant plagiarism. I hope everyone gets plenty of traffic and work opportunities for their efforts.
Wow .. the reports are brilliant! Now this is pushing the envelope.. time to polish and up skill .. great work .. the 1st report was outstanding.. congratulations to vinisius ..
The first one is my favorite. The other two hurt my eyes with the dark background. I think the first one also did a good job of making sure the charts had value for the user - whole reason we use data
@@BIElite Thanks. Another good challenge might be a "one tab" challenge. See how much insight could be given in just one tab. I've also been looking for creative uses with bookmarks, drill-throughs, and buttons recently
For the first report, the one with the really sleek slicer pane, I’ve been mulling over for several days now how the author managed to make the slicer pane disappear by simply clicking anywhere outside of it. As the narrator said, it’s very much like a website. I think I’ve finally figured it out! The author made a dark gray, semi-transparent, page-sized button to go behind the slicer pane. That way, anywhere that you click outside the slicer pane, you are clicking the page-sized button and returning to the report’s visuals layer. Basically action buttons mixed with bookmarks. I use a similar technique myself. Ingenious.
yes it's quite simple. you are right, just create a blank page sized button with transparency that has a bookmark action. and make sure this button is part of the "filter open" "filter close" selection group
Looking at that first one made me feel like a complete amature, it is honestly gorgeous. I just wonder how much of it is fully dynamic. That's where the money is.
I'm new to Power BI, it's amazing to see what can be done with it and the creativity of some users to really push it to it's limits and beyond where I thought it could go. There are some truly inspirational ideas which I hope to borrow :) Keep on showcasing the talent!
Does anyone know of a tutorial for the filter pane used in the first video, where it fades out the home page and allow you to see a slicer of years and months? Thanks in advance!
Its been a month, are you planning to cover these dashboards in your tutorials or are you gonna share the pbix file? I would like to see how the filter pane was customized and those KPIs along with trend charts on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Very impressed with Vinícius submission. The report is very pleasing to look at, intuitive to navigate, and all with all keeps the peace. Do you plan to do these challenges more often Parker?
Would love to be able to get the pbix files for the winners. Great little tricks each is employing. Curious how each is handling the layering/button functionality. Seems like #1 and #2 actually made their own photoshopped images.
Really insightful love the slicer panel. Very clean Incase anyone wonders about how the slicer panel was done it looks like he used a custom filter (chiclet) and used a button behind it although that's just what it looks like to me I've done something similar but for the back button I used the windows ; to get a red x to close the panel but prefer this by far! Great work

That’s wonderful to hear. I’m going to take a few tricks from these reports as well!
The first BI small trend charts is the most beautiful thing i have ever seen in power Bi
These are all mind blowing reports... so sophisticated yet easily digestible and impactful!!! Thank so much for sharing.
I agree completely, Kimberley!
Mind blown. If only we could acess the reports files to learn how they did such things, it would be awesome
Very interesting techniques used by Vinícius Zandonadi with the customized filter pane and the trend visuals. Great work!
Yes he nailed it!
