He's an amazing performer. Wish he hadn't retired a couple of years ago. I've grown to love Seger more and more in the past decade or so. Have always been a music lover but understand & appreciate the lyrics much better at this age. A close friend actually met Bob when he was young and recording an early album here in north Alabama (US).

Reminds me of Basic Training and how proud I was to serve my country…..that was 39 years ago, senior citizen now but will never forget how great those times were and how young and strong I felt! Time goes by in a blink. 👍🇺🇸.
This song helped me in a way that would take an entire story to tell, but it came along at a time in my life when a pivotal decision was made. I drew so much strength from this song! The power of a song can change your life. This one did for me!

I just pulled some crying girl out of the snowbank with my Chevy truck and I had this song cranked up. So cool just like the old 90s Chevy truck commercials. I was strong as I could be, like a rock. She thought it was awesome lol I think she's in love with me now she gave me her number because I told her I would help her with fixing her car but she was like oh yeah we have to hang out sometime soon. She was really beautiful. She hugged me when I left

Almost Spiritual? Today, for me, it absolutely is. 20 years ago exactly I was destroyed. This weekend I had a renewal of spirit, of energy, of purpose. Driving home after three days of digging at Diamond Point and full of red clay with a huge crystal in my pocket, I got home and went to my sacred place, the shower. That Seger song came on and spoke to me HUGE and confirmed I am not done yet. When most retire I feel like I am starting all over.

I'm 58 it rings true of this old soldier that started at 17 1/2. Now when I get after it with younger guys in my civilian job. I hit it as hard as I can but it's about 1/10 of yesteryear. What my heart says and what my body says are 2 way different things

Okay I may be 13 but this song is one of my favorites. My dad and I are currently in the car to go see one of his old friends and passing the aux cord back and forth playing old songs like this. If this isnt my relationship with my child later in life then I dont want it.

I grew up on Seger and how strange it is that I understand and feel so much of this song. Instant pictures of times, people and places when I was in my 20s enter my heart. I can't listen to this song often. It brings back so many beautiful memories which can also be difficult.

This was one of my dads favourite songs a coupke of weeks before my dad passed we were doing air guitar together to this song. i find it hard to listen to but everytime i do i remember that day. we had this played at his funeral aswel but he was the familys rock. this song will always take me back to that one day.

I've had the honor to meet the man who actually played lead guitar on the song Main Street (Pete Carr, RIP). *Although the SBB is credited on the album(s), at least one of them was recorded with the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, aka the Swampers, in NW Alabama💖 (Pete was from Daytona Beach, if I'm not mistaken, but lived in the Shoals area as well. Played with some of the best in the biz.)

@@codyogden4611 no auto company does it’s has gotten really bad about it as well... pick your disaster and go.. to me Chevy has been the simplest to work on and has never let me down 2007 Silverado 2009 Malibu and a 2015 Cruze and I’ve had awesome luck but the Malibu has been throwing some fits
