I’ve heard Ford has launched the DCT variants of the Fiesta and Puma Ecoboost Hybrids, but are you gonna plan on doing the Focus Ecoboost Hybrid with an automatic transmission, as well as the Kuga Ecoblue Hybrid with an automatic transmission?

Hi Dave, there are no current plans to offer the 7 speed DCT from Fiesta / Puma on the larger Focus, Kuga platform that currently offers the 8 speed automatic.

The Puma and Fiesta mHEV now comes with a DCT, along with the manual of course, but only for the 125ps version.
The Focus and Kuga MHEVs aren’t available with the automatic yet.

@@kevinbushell2746 It’s a double clutch transmission. Used commonly by the Volkswagen AG (VW, Audi, Škoda, SEAT, Porsche, and others).

I have had several Fords over the years. My current is a Focus Mk2 as I tend to keep my cars for up to 10 years or more. I have loved Fords over the years. But they have lost their way. Current generations of Fiesta and Focus just don’t look good, especially the interior designs, van-like rear of the Fiesta, and Fiat Tipo like rear lights of the Focus. Mild hybrids are a waste of time, heavier car for little benefit. Eco-petrols do better. Make it fully electric or don’t bother!

Its a shame that Ford is neglecting country like India where they could easily make billions by selling cars like Focus 1.0 ecoboost /1.5l ecoblue with MTs and ATs
Such a shame that Fords management has people with so low iQ that they still have got no idea to crack a simple market like India
