I've told my parents, The Final Countdown will be the most popular song of the album, but for me, the best song on the album is Rock the night! An excellent cover of one of my favorite songs by my favorite group!

Haha, Europe, the band that got me into metal a million years ago. I used to know "The Final Countdown" by heart, every song, every word, every note. One of my fondest memories is going home by car from a concert where I saw them live and singing along with my friends the entire album. Good times...
First aerobic walk with Ipods here in Sunny Florida in a very long time ..over a year ( darn health issues). Had to be the New 80s release to get me pumped up🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉and it sure did! Listened 2x and now viewed 2x... this epic rock song came out when I was 26, though my rock band never covered Any Europe, I had the Album on cassette and would run to it😊 5⭐️ Tommy❤ you always bring it🎉 Thx You Rock the Night 🌙 & The Day🌞!!

I missed this one at noon, so I have now listened afterwards. Great version! Solo is very Marcellish. And the vocals has those Tommy-twists here and there, making it not just a straight copy of the original.
I think i need to correct myself, or at least question what I said about the solo being Marcellish. I still think it is, and maybe that comes from me having heard live versions of the song, or just hearing loads of Marcello in general. But the original recording of Rock the Night was with John Norum. And I am not sure what i hear in terms of resemblence here... I think Norum has an absolutely fantastic tone in his playing (almost second to none, actually), so that would not be a bad thing to sound like. But I think what I hear is the Marcello sound (which is also great). Either way, it is great.
