Wow, really impressive stuff. I've been thinking about getting back into SE and your builds are really inspiring! How the heck do you get these results with just those two scripts? Particularly the mech walk/shuffle - somehow feels like it should require mods to do stuff like this! mind = blown
@@stevebloxham3832 I’m using my normal walking methods to get the legs moving. It’s pretty heavy so it doesn’t take a big step but it moves forward without having to fly which is what I was after. The scripts only deal with the weapons as well, all movements are just straight timer chains
At this point this should be a steam trailer for the game, to see what you can really do

Wow. The craft itself is amazing - the design, the legs, and of course how satisfying its articulation on the wings to get them out of the way is. Then there's the simple yet effective docking alignment setup, and those arms used to move the missiles around which must've been painstaking to make. This thing is a masterpiece. Can't wait to see the next one, glad you're still going strong.
Always here with a terrific insightful comment, thank you. This was really fun to design both parts to it, I feel like there may be more systems attached to some of my future projects now. Of course that will mean longer development times as well though.
Quality over quantity is worth it, I think. Longer waits aren't an issue if the results are this good.

The coolest part of this build for me is the cockpit. The way it slides down and presents the HDD in one smooth motion is sublime.

This is amazing , but someone on the fb page has a link to his video on yt of a fully automated mech building factory. this would have blown my mind if i didn't watch that video yesterday

This is unbelievable! The reloading system deserves a video all on it's own man. The work that must've gone into it probably took forever. Great video.

Honestly that reloading sequence has to be the most impressive thing I've ever seen someone pull off in space engineers; and I watched someone make a capital-ship-sized gravity cell to hold rocks like a shield as they flew

Appreciate it, but I'm going to stick to Zoids. The Gundam aesthetic isn't really my jam and I need to stay motivated to push through these larger projects

This thing is beautiful. Saw this video pop up while trying to use you’re “how to make a mech” world to make a biped. Trying to get my head around how to give the feet enough ground clearance.
Do your legs look like humans or chickens?
@@BlackArmor718 Tried Both actually ended up switching to chicken legs. Mech is going well now. Will make the upper portion of the leg longer and see if I can create a de activated mode. Unfortunately my mech can only walk about 10 step before falling over (without a pilot) and the feet hit the ground as they come down, pushing the mech back half a step for every one it takes.
@@cyitain9856 Sounds like you might want to increase the delay on your Rotor timer to give it more clearance
@@BlackArmor718 Thanks though this mech is running on 4 timers rather than your suggested 6 and the lower portion of the legs do finish moving before they are put down. I increased the mech’s stability (which is still not great) which improved it ground clearance as it wasn’t leaning over as much.
@@cyitain9856 I actually need to amend my tutorial since I found I really only need 4 timers to do the same thing and it’s easier to understand. But that’s a lot of text to change..

I remember playing zoids on GameCube its so cool to see them in SE actually working
I was already losing my mind then i saw that the docking and refueling platform also automatically made missiles?!? This is literally black magic to me just, wow, had no idea of the amount of cool stuff that could be made in this game. The wing webbing and cockpit with projectors are also just such a beautiful little touch, amazing stuff, really.

Youre a true inspiration for creative minds and a legend in the game. Ive never seen anything that comes close to your work and its both awe inspiring and heart breakingly infuriating. When i originally came to the game I could barely build an atmo ship and my rovers always toppled, hell they still do, but when I found your walker building world on pc I picked the game back up amd have been building them since. Ive always tried to chase after your level of skill and like to say i specialize in big grid mechs (ive made several of the jaegers from pacific rim) but nothinf comes close to yours in looks or functionality. That said I wont stop and dream of reaching your level one day. I must ask though, how did you get the cockpit to work from a subgrid? When I try to make cockpits on hinges and such they never work.

This is really amazing. I've been looking for some inspiration and duh I don't know where to start haha!

@@BlackArmor718 Inspiration on how to use some of the mechanical blocks properly, and also to go for some lighter wing builds. I'm having a hard time not coating my ships in 2 layers of heavy armor, and only half of my ships can lift off from earth as a logical consequence.
Yesterday after watching I tried building a 4 misslie silo base, that automatically welds 3x3 RC rockets from projectors and has industry to make the parts.
But I haven't figured yet where to put the projector, and I'm also unsure if I really need a merge block or if a connector is good enough to hold the rocket in place.
My plan was to rotate each of the 4 rockets and grill them like a kebap with welders on pistons at the center. But that doesn't work because the edges aren't round enough.
Also fell for the noob trap of wanting to build a giant hangar ship more than once. My last attempt died when I hit 100k PCU and didn't use experimental mode. Still trying somehow to get it below 100k.

We are just intentionally flying to make it look realistic, so using Q and E when turning

They guide to where the camera is pointing. Its the easy lidar script by alysius
