Congrats to FAU for earning a Final 4 berth. What a deep and gritty team. There is a reason they lost only three games this year. I always enjoy it when an unexpected team earns a Final 4 berth. This is why March Madness is so special.
they gave a clinic of offensive rebounds today, Goldin with some great plays as a center too. As you said better, deep and gritty squad, much deserved berth.
This Final Four will be mad to watch, UConn is playing the honor of former champions tonight. Can you imagine if the Zags win and we get a Final Four with no former national champions and with, in the best scenario, only 3 Final Four apperances?
@@otaviofrn_adv Goldin had a really good game. He looked so much more confident and was grabbing rebounds everywhere. I don’t know what was up with him against Tennessee.
@@minokillz2356 Tennessee was throwing elbows at Goldin quite often in that game but they also had taller players to match up with him consistently

As an FAU alumni, we aren’t known for sports compared to other Florida schools but this is amazing to watch! Go Owls 🦉 🏀🏀❤️❤️!!

I'm hoping the Owls win it all just like years ago win my favorite College Soccer team the Akron Zips won the National Title. Plus since none of my predicted Final Four is still alive.

Unbelievable. With this team going to the Final 4 and with both Miami's men and womens team having a chance to go as well. Highway 95 must be insane right now.

Can't get over how fantastic the atmosphere was at MSG - two non-traditional schools in the Elite Eight with no ties to the area and no national fanbases and the Garden was rocking. This felt like the big-time game that it was. A stone's throw from Broadway and these teams put on a show on a Saturday night.

Keep in mind that it's a guarantee that either Creighton, San Diego state, or Florida Atlantic will be in the championship. Shocking tournament.
only believable team to beat texas or uconn out of those is creighton though so thats not the same as the other 2 school

I had them as a 4-seed based on the NET. Overall numbers better than St. Mary's, who got a 5. Committee does some weird stuff, but a lot of it is "have I heard of this team before?"
FAU objectively a 4 (I had K State as a 5 on the same algorithm).
@@ericforster2970 That's exactly what it is. It's only the second time they've been in the tournament and that is the sole reason they weren't given a 4 or 5 seed.
@@ericforster2970yeah they were like 25th on Kenpom going in I think, 9 seed was unwarranted, but it actually worked out in there favor since they got to play fdu in round 2

Wow. Those two teams can surely play basketball! Great game! Nowell on KSU is so good, but FAU had balance and lots of speed. Both teams were fun to watch.
Congrats to the Owls. I haven't followed basketball much since the pandemic cancelled the '20 tourney. Seems like everything is wide open now. Good luck to all the teams remaining. As a Gator fan, I don't have a rooting interest. But it looks like the Final Four may be worth checking out.

I think the last there was this much excitement and madness during a sporting event was during the Roman gladiator events. The people at the NAACP tournament who came up with this amazing product were clearly descendants of those glorious Roman empire days. GENIUSES!!!!!

I haven't watched "March Madness" for quite a few years and was amazed at how much more mobile, agile, adept and active these players are. Of course, I'm watching the highlights but still, three point accuracy is amazing and has helped open up the middle for drives to the hoop, passing and dunks. A double digit lead is not as safe as it once was and the last minutes of the game are not as often dreary, deliberate fouling and free throw shots. The three pointer was introduced a long time ago (1979) but was not as integral a part of the scoring strategy as it appears to have become now.

I love the tournament and I usually LOVE underdogs but IDK if I’m the only one but this tournament just pissing me off in many ways.
Again it’s a great tournament and I like FAU, but they have to have probably the best possible scenario. They haven’t faced any quality team. Tennessee and K-State are okay programs but they haven done anything in years. If they got UCONN today they would’ve lose even if it was close.
I just think the whole tournament has been frustrating seeing all these overrated one seed slook even worse than expected. I mean Houstom and Alabama looking like 19 win teams and being outclassed by average programs?
I just think as much as I like underdogs, I want to see a better challenge for here teams. St. Peters last year faced Kentucky, Purdue, and Murray State to get it he elite eight.
All these teams even the top ones haven’t faced a well oiled team especially with consistency.
I still love seeing underdogs have a big part in this tournament but just feel many of these team are getting massive kick with these matchups and these top seeds looking like jokes.

Heart breaking to see to lose such a close game. With no time left, I don't understand why Masood was trying to dribble. You just shoot and hope it goes in or get fouled. The way FAU was playing, they probably would have fouled.

Great game.. FAU has such a likeable team.... I couldn't help but notice the 'hand'gun celebration.. It seems a little too real.. Watching the other day, I'm pretty sure he gestured something like this towards the Kentucky bench ... If this is 'okay' then where does the 'throat slash' fall? The Ncaa probably doesn't have enough air left in the basketballs to do anything but in the age of gun violence, I don't know, it doesn't seem right.. It trickles down to young kids who watch these games

Been a while since seeing a tournament this exciting and with so many upsets. This and the women. Great time of the year. And, next month is NBA playoffs and the NFL draft. What a time to be alive in this era.
