I’m a Muslim and I truly admire this channel. I’m learning and understanding the Palestinians / Israeli perspective with those challenging questions you ask them. I truly think the only way for peace is for both the Israelis and Palestinians need to accept each other existence, respect each-other so that they can both coexist in one country. No way will Palestinians nor Israelis leave from that land.

Peace can only exist by having two bigots making peace whilst remaining bigoted to do so. Even after Jim Crow laws are abolished, racism persists in many ways. And Roe v Wade shows that equality is not an eternal right under any system of democracy.
The only peace that can be achieved is by social reconciliation and not a political one. Whose to say that Palestine would simply start a war with Israel again, now with a defined army and a strong economy if they were ever given a state back?

It's not about religion, that's a Zionist tactic only. Palestinians are the descendants of the native people of the region. There are multiple DNA studies indicating that, while the Jews that have settled Palestine are for the most carrying DNA from their host countries (i.e. Poland, Ethiopia, Yemen etc.). The world would be a huge mess if anyone claimed a land that 'belonged' to them 2000 years ago, just because a fictitious book told them so.

The flip side is that one yes became a constructive one-state democracy of the sort the jewish supremacist state (two months past a successful fascist coup) has always despised. With right of return and solid economic and social support, we could arrive at a good solution. Keeping in mind all these guys are technically PTSD victims at least with conditions a lot of us would rather suicide than live through.
i wouldn't even trust my father in law to be constructive in politics. The Israelis interviewed are IMO far more ugly. That is straight textbook settler colonial shit like out of a story set in the 1800s.

“Destroy Israel” is too vague. Freeing the slaves in the US meant “destroying the confederacy,” but it didn’t mean killing or displacing white people. It meant ending the confederacy’s authority.
“Destroying Israel” might mean literally obliterating it. Or it might mean replacing the government and national identity with something secular with equal rights for Jewish people and Palestinians.

@@user-vt4up5ij9d It would never ever be a secular solution. Islamic secularism generally doesn't work. I would hope for a peaceful solution but when one group has defacto displaced the other group and the other group says they want to take it back and dispel the group currently in power there isn't really a way for the people in power to say "ok sure, sounds good". So either Palestine gathers supports from the Arab world and builds an army to take Israel and defeat the US as well or some kind of two state solution which the Palestinian people would not be happy with but maybe many, many generations down the line people grow to accept would work. How that ever comes to be made in those lands I have no idea when you have two groups of people with such obviously opposing ideologies.

I totally agree with the first lady, she is realist. Something has to change. I have been pro Palestinian statehood forever and thought at one time an Israel living in peace with Palestinians would be the powerhouse of the Middle East. But that seems more remote now than ever. I am deeply saddened by this and wish peace and statehood to my Palestinian siblings.

Some brother are you... why don't you merry them if you like those maniacs so much, who their sole wish to destroy us, and don't even hide it. They're not your "siblings", they're your people's enemies (if we say things as they're without mincing words), which kinda makes you an enemy sympathizer, as well as a persona non-grata in this land.
What skewed sense of loyalties to your people... just shameful and complete misunderstanding and ignorance of the situation and its driving forces at play.
You're right to be pessimistic, since it's exactly your approach to begin with, which is driving this pessimism forward to the current situation and what making it worse and escalating it (calling murderers maniacs your "siblings" would be one example of this) .
You preferred to mislead yourself with false hopes and deny realities as they truly are (either due to the sources of media which fed you throughout all those years, and painted a very misleading picture, or your lack of personal will, thoroughness and resistance to see things as they're in reality).
Sadly, reality is not make-belief as you wish it to be, so expecting it to blow up in your face was a given when you're basing everything on false premises from the get go. You can't build a house like that when the foundation blocks to build on are all out of whack and based on false information and beliefs.
2 people can't coexist on the same land, which is demanded entirely by one side (Palestinians), and partially, to a much lesser degree, also by the other (the Israeli side in some circles). It's simple math and logic.
It's precisely your 2 states solution approach, and those who promote it, which is pushing forward this conflict and making your pessimism even worse as time progress. People like yourself, external to the place, are trying to force an unrealistic solution to the people on the ground here instead of actually taking an interest on what those people present here actually want, what is their aim and how they think, taking these basic things into account so that they can propose solutions that can actually solve something, maybe, one day. You have only yourself and the people like you to blame for you pessimism and lack of progress you see to such an unrealistic propositions, which were never possible to implement or meant to be in the first place (I'm referring to the 2 states solution here).
If you want to really consider the most realistic solution available out there, which I'm sure you never even heard of, that would be the Emirates Solution of Dr kedar. Look it up if that of interest for you. If you start having realistic expectations, maybe there would be still hope for some peaceful solution, but if that proposition fails too, the only thing that would be left would be the complete expulsion of one group by the other, whichever group that may be, with one group left to rule the entire land. All or nothing kind of deal.
Maybe if you would start getting more realistic, and not filling yourself with false hopes, and imaginary make beliefs, painting things with pink bcz you want it to be so, you would start feeling less pessimistic. In contrary to you, I'm not pessimistic, I'm quite optimistic.
I would hope, especially from diaspora jews (at the very least), to stop pushing forward and promoting so-called "solutions" that only serve to put in peril risk the fate of your people and their continued presence on this land. That's the absolute minimum I would expect from any fellow Jews, at least if they still pretended to care about their people and nation at all...
Palestinians don't give 2 shits about you, so what that sucking up serving for?
Sad that these days people need to actually specify "pro Israel jew".... How distorted jews abroad became to even consider the other possibility as realistic? Mental affliction is afflicting such people.

Where do they go if they do leave? Literally every single country has committed their own version of a holocaust, not just Germany but everywhere. If you look in most places around them they’re not welcome and they have been literally reduced down to a handful of people. The Arabs who live in Israel are not being reduced. Their population has increased dramatically, I’m not arguing that Gaza is humane or that there aren’t problems. During the 17 year illegal occupation of Judah and Samaria by Jordan, the "Palestinians" never once talked about a "free Palestine." It was only in 1967 when the Israelis won that land by successfully defending themselves (again) from their Arab neighbors, that suddenly the Arabs became the "indigenous Palestine people" who wanted their land. Under International Law, there is no occupation. An occupation only occurs when one sovereign country crosses a national border to invade another sovereign country. Judah and Samaria (so-called West Bank) was never anything but a disputed territory. The pre-1967 "border" was never anything but a cease-fire line at the end of the 1948 war of Israeli independence. Just like the "Palestinian people", the "occupied West Bank" is just a big Arab lie.

In the years immediately after the nakba, Palestinian society was in complete disarray. The PLO formed in 1964 which is arguably marks the point of a solidification of national consciousness of the Palestinians, so what you say isn't 100% accurate, but it is true that in the 50s there was no real organised Palestinian movement. But, you know, they had just been displaced, scattered, their lives destroyed, pushed out of their homes, it takes a while to pick yourself up off the ground.

    • @Muzikman127

The fact that a solid national movement and vocally expressed national identity came about later on doesn't in any way invalidate the right and desire of a people for freedom within their homeland (where they still mostly reside, but in unfreedom, and confined to small pockets in terrible conditions). After all, there was no need of a Palestinian cause and identity before they were forced out of most of their homeland - most nationalities form in opposition to another external one; until you are faced with "the other", there is no real need to name "us". Many colonised peoples only named themselves _after_ colonisation. And besides, the country of "Germany" didn't form until 1871, "Italy" a similar time also - that doesn't mean that before then there were no Germans or Italians. (And, similarly, just because Italians, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Romanians are all "Latins", doesn't mean they are interchangeable, or that it would be okay just to kick out all the Portuguese from Portugal and move them to Italy because they're all Romance speakers, or all Christians. That's not how it works.)

      @Muzikman127 8 месяцев назад +5

And what you said about the Palestinians not trying to "free Palestine" immediately after '48 is only half true. Immediately after the Nakba, sure, but by the 60s the Palestinian revolutionaries had already clearly set themselves apart from the subjects of Jordan, and it was clear that their homeland was Palestine, and not Jordan. It is also clear even before the 6 day war happened in '67 that the Palestinians' goal was self-governance within Palestine, not rule by Jordan. But yes, their primary concern was Israel, not Jordan and Egypt (for obvious reasons!)

Why do they kreep saying it is " Palestinian land?
For 400 years it was Ottoman (Turkish) and from the day the Turks' left, suddenly it is supposedly ONLY "Palestinian"?
It was EVERYBODY'S... Jews, Arabs, Christians, Druze, Bedouins. But there was an entire movement - all over the world, not just in Palestine - for national movements. The Austro-Hunngarian Empire disappeared as did the Ottoman Empire... and nation-states arose - as they always have. HELL, INDIA DIVIDED ITS EASTERN SECTION INTO A NEW COUNTRY - PAKISTAN - AND MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WERE DISPLACE, WITH THE HINDUS GOING EAST AND THE MUSLIMS GOING WEST; NOT EASY -NOT HAPPILY - BUT IT WORKED!
    A SEPARATE STATE FOR EACH
WHY IS THAT SO IMPOSSIBLE IN THE MIDDLE EAST?
Muslims have 50 different countries in the world... many conquered by the sword (colonialism!) That isn't enough for them?
They have to destroy the ONE place on earth that is for Jews?
If they hadn't been intent on the destructoin of Israel for the last 75 years they cou:ld have built their State into something as viable as Israel's. But intead they spent their money and energy on military means to try and destroy Israel...
The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem - BEFORE ISRAEL EXISTED - BEFORE THE NAKBA - went to meet HITLER in 1942 - to try and get help in eliminating all the Jews from the Holy Land! That was an Arab attempt at genocide BEFORE any of the present "justifications" for fighting Israel existed!
In the Levant, after the Turks, it was a British Protectorate. NOT 'Palestinian.
In fact - at that time nobody called themselves "Palestinian"; They called themselves Arabs, or Jews or whatever; Then Britain gave 3/4 of their Protectorate to the Hashemite Arabs and Jordan was created. The rest was STILL not "Palestinian".
The UN created TWO States with the remaining land; Neither the Jews nor the Arabs were happy with what was being offerred... But the Jews said YES, the Arabs said NO - and they attcked the new State of Israel - 5 Arab Armies all together. And they LOST!
SO from that day on, those who had left were refugees. From a British Protectorate, NOT from a Palestinian State as they had refused it!
SO HOW DO THEY GET THE RIGHT TO CLAIM THAT EVEYTHING THAT ISRAEL IS BUILT ON IS THEIRS, NOT ISRAELI?
IT WAS NEVER THEIR LAND ONLY.
In fact, until the TWO States were offerred by the UN they were perhaps LIVING there, they perhaps owned a house - BUT THEY DID NOT OWN THE LAND INTHE SENSE OF A COUNTRY.
And the Land they had been given by Britain WOULD HAVE/COULD HAVE been a real State for the last 75 years if the Arabs hadn't decided to make war. When they LOST the war, then they also lost the possibility of contol over the West Bank, Gaza and (later) after the second war) The Golan Heights.
AGAIN - if they hadn't made war - ALL if that could have been a viable state controlled by themselves for the last 75 years. But since they chose war and lost - those territories have existed ever since as atraining ground for the PLO, Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad - and terrorist attacks incessantly for 75 years:.
IS IT ANY SURPRISE THAT ISRAEL FINALLY BUILT WALLS TO PROTECT ITSELF AND SET UP CHECKPOINTS?, NONE of that should have been necessary.
OH, and the Jews, Christians and Arabs STILL "get along fine" - INSIDE ISRAEL... where the Arabs who didn't flee and didn't make war against Israel in 1947 STILL live - as EQUAL l citizens of Israel with a political Party, with members of Parliament, with a Supreme Court Judge... NO PROBLEM.
AND CERTAINLY THE OPPOSITE OF AN "APARTHEID STATE";... ANOTHER LIE that tHE Palestinians actually beleive... but it isn't true; NOt about Israel. Ask ANY ISRAELI ARAB and tHEY WILL TELL YOU!
HERE is a video with an Israeli ARAB PALESTINIAN TALKING... HE will give you the real story:

Israel was founded with violence and force, perhaps due to circumstances. Zionism did not gain momentum until the threat of Nazis gave it the legitimacy it needed to garner support. Desperate to escape persecution, European Jews immigrated in massive waves. The US and Britain eventually became overwhelmed and closed their borders. When Britain also ordered a halt to immigration in Palestine (1930s), the Zionists used violence to force more people in. Zionists proceeded with their agenda of creating a Jewish-state knowing Palestine was inhabited. With the assistance of sympathetic British soldiers, they terrorized Palestinians out of their homes, driving them into the desert, burning down homes and villages. The situation became untenable and after WW2 Britain handed the problem over to the UN. Zionists found a new sponsor in America and the rest is history.
“We will spirit them [the Arabs] across the frontiers discreetly.”
      - Hertzl, founder of Zionism
“We must expel the Arabs and take their place…. I support forced transfer and see nothing unethical in it.”
      - Ben-Gurion, first PM of Israel, Zionist
Netanyahu and many in his cabinet come from a long history of extreme Zionism. Bibi has made clear (as many Zionists have in the past) that Israel is not just a homeland for Jews, but should be a Jewish-only state. This is the real moral dilemma. But perhaps too much blood has been spilled already for it to matter. Hopefully, extremism will be buried on both sides with each passing generation, and give birth to a hope for peace, tolerance and equality for everyone.

Question for Corey. This is a question that can be asked to an interviewer who interviews a group of people. Do you show all your interviews? If not, then what % of the interviews do you show? If you don't show all the interviews, then that means you made decisions not to show certain interviews. On what basis did you use not to show a certain interview.
This is relevant because if the person doing the interview has an agenda, they can choose to only show the interviews that help advance their agenda.

Before 1917, there was no Palestine or Israel. There was the Ottoman empire. During this time no one called themselves "Palestinians". So after the Ottoman empire disappeared, there was no official owner. The British administered the area but did not claim "ownership" of it. That's why it was a "mandate", and not part of Britain. They can't say it's "their land". What they are referring to is the land that was used by invading Arab armies to attack Israel. Once the area you live in is used as a launching point for attacks, you give up any claim to this land. Maybe if the Arabs would have immediately tried to make peace in 1948 right after the war, the people would have been allowed to return...but that isn't what happened.

*This is a perfect example of why education and awareness are so crucial when it comes to this specific conflict. Many of these Arabs are saying factually incorrect statements:*
    1. Palestine wasn't a country pre-israel it was introduced by the British in the 20th century, and along with their occupation, the term was revived officially as well
    2. Jews and Arabs did not live in constant peace, uprisings, pogroms, lynches and massacres were recorded dozens of times during the British Mandate inflicted against one another. Antisemitic propaganda by local Arab seikhs was common place which stimulated much of the local hate and attacks in their native Jewish neighbours.
    3. Jews aren't from other lands. Just because an Arab was born in France, doesn't make him ethnically French, his origin isn't erased and not relevant. The same is the case for the Jews, we are from Judea, and just because we were hosted in many countries internationally, doesn't suddenly make us belong ethnically to those countries.

In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem.
